Mine have the same issue, go to garage and they give another solution by replacing the water pump but the issue still the same. So now i know i need to replace the thermostat. Thank you..
I have a GMC acadia and an overheating problem occurred because my dad was staying in the car for too long with the AC on and the Engine on too. I told him to turn it off because an overheating problem might not occur. After that we went to the mall and then got back in the car and i spotted a overheating sign and then my dad pulled over to a mechanic. And now my car is at the mechanic still. It all happened today and the Temperature was at a freaking 125 Degrees Celsius!! And after that we turned off the car so that it doesnt catch on fire
So mines not doing exactly this but one thing it is doing I think you mentioned, the front ac heat work fine but the rear blows air just not the temp you set it to
Mine is doing the same but we have replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator, and tested for head gasket issues. Still nothing is working. The only thing we have not changed were the fans but they are running. We even took it to the shop where it stayed about a month and still no change.
Right because the issue that I’m having is that after about 30 or 40 minutes and overheats and it’s not always it doesn’t always overheat. It’s been the thermostat has been replaced and it’s had a block and pressure test and they couldn’t find any leaks but it’s leaking coolant, so I’ll try the cap
So my car was the garage guys for 3 days and they checked everything and in the end it was the second coolant pump's cap. After changing that, the car was perfectly fine cause I changed the thermostat earlier and I know that wasn't the issue. I hope you are able to fix the problem in your car as well. One more thing what I suggest is use Mobil 1 Engine oil for the car and change the Transmission oil every 40,000 kms, when changing the oil ask the guys not to drain the transmission oil 100% but leave 20% and then top up with new oil.
This issue just started on my Acadia yesterday. So it’s the Thermostat. Cool!

Did they use a factory thermostat? It could be a bad part, I've seen it happen. If it is doing the same thing, it could be the new thermostat
What's the price range to get a new thermostat installed? I have the exact same car with exact same problem
I would say $400
Hi I changed the thermostat two months back but again overheating issue has started on my GMC
Did you ever figure out what it was the exact same thing is happening to me and I can’t afford to part swap fix it
Check the second coolant cap, the seal on the cap had broken so the engine overheating was happening for my car

Is it important to have the high pressure fuel pump cover on mine broke apart
I would say it is not too important, gives it some extra protection, but won't make a noticeable difference in drivability.
Let me know if you know were to get a replacement . It’s that foam insulator correct ?
Did it fix the Problem ?
what is that part you change out call?
Thermostat
Disculpa tengo el mismo problema con mi gmc acadia que la temperatura sube i baja
Termostato o algo simple le hace falta anticongelante
I don't trust mechanics that use power tools on simple things like hose clamps
Lol what? 😂
