- Join me as I review my Bunn Gear Command Center. I will go over the core features, why I chose this DJ booth over some of the other DJ Furniture options on the market, some of the pros & quirks, and lessons I've learned while owning this DJ booth for the past 3-years.
I also answer the burning question... will this thing actually make you money? Do clients actually care? Do you have to own one of these to be a part of the cool DJs club? I share some of my anecdotes.
This is the perfect way to up your DJ Setup Presentation.

I love the way you presented a very balanced view of the entire podium style DJ table debacle lol. You kept it real. No hype, just facts and experience. Great job! Btw, I gave you a shout out in my last video.
Thanks for watching! I'll check it out!
I love my Bunn Command Center. I get TONS of compliments. Setup time is about 10-15 minutes. I have it all pre-wired and plug and play. LOVE IT
Fantastic! That's great to hear.
Thank you for a balance review. Most of my weddings have too much going on, extra mics, wireless tx to another speaker, paper work, personal wifi setup, mixer, dinner at my booth, water. I do about 160 weddings a year @2k a wedding and although it looks good I'll keep the facade. I see some furniture DJ's now with the facade behind them LOL. I also like the little space a facade gives me from that person who runs up on us who's had a little too much to drink. That's just me after being in the DJ game for over 40 years. BTW this isn't new we've had this setup 25 years ago with turn tables
I like having everything already pre wired inside so I just show up and plug n play. I didn't realize how much I hate taking wireless mics out of cases and plugging it into the mixer, and the DMX controller, etc... until I got this. It may not be the first podium style booth, but it's definitely one of the most portable and light weight ones.
I don't understand the facade in the back either lol just use the facade
Awesome video my man. I love seeing how good it looks and how confident you feel still after 3 years in. Keep rocking!
Thanks for watching and making such an awesome product! 👐
I Got The White Bunn Gear It Has Elevated My DJ Business I Get Tons Of Compliments On It. I Leave My Controller In It With Industrial Strength Velco & I Never Have A Problem With It Coming Out. I Love That Booth. Thank You For The Video.
Thanks for watching! I did eventually use foam and industrial velcro which helped for a bit but eventually had the same issue. Glad it's working better for you! Cheers
Thank you for the honest review. I prefer using a facade and like you mentioned, lights reflect better on a facade.
In my experience when I get booked for a party/event no one has asked me if I’ll be using a facade or podium.
Thanks again for the review
Thanks for watching, cheers!
I'd love one of these and have been looking around for a better setup than a foldout table with a table cloth and flight case on top, but I don't think I can justify the cost and living in Australia the cost to ship it here is stupendous! Not to mention that down here I am finding more and more than people aren't willing to spend a lot these days for a DJ. Gone are the days where I could name my price and get the gig. Now I have to contend with bedroom DJ's and "my friend's cousin who is a DJ and can do it for cheaper".
I hear you! I think a lot of people start making their own furniture once they get to your stage lol. Wanting more but not enough options
Great video as usual. Thank you for all your hard work. Now that I’ve seen both videos which DJ booth do you like better the humpter booth or this booth
Brotha, good review and I appreciate this balanced approach to the pros and cons.
Thanks for watching and the comment! Cheers
Appreciate the honest assessment, thanks Daryl.
My pleasure!
Just ordered one from the new batch the other day, your other video(s) talking about booths and your experience thus far with it helped me as I was doing research so thank you! Really looking forward to elevating the presentation, functionality, workflow and set up/tear down time coming from a Rockbooth XL (which served me very well but has it's flaws too, of course) and being able to pre-wire everything so it's more plug and play.
Awesome! That's so exciting, congrats on your new purchase. I definitely think it will speed up your workflow from a Rockbooth
@@DJDarylBennett Thanks! And for sure, that will be huge. Next is to work on my lighting game...I'll be tapping in with your videos a ton on that front too😂 thanks for all you do and keep it coming!
Great information as always. Are you able to keep your controller and everything in the actual tower neck or does it have to be taken out as well during transport ?What stage are you using? Awesome content!!!
I live here in the Midwest and I just use a DJ Facade. No one around here even cares about your setup. Every venue I go to, they automatically provide a table for the DJ's. I always tell them that I have my own and don't like the look of using a table. Using the Bunn Gear will not enhance my setup but I'm sure other parts of the country it makes a difference especially at the larger venues.
In a competitive market, it can definitely set you apart
@ i’m sure it will make a big difference in those areas since they want their DJs presentation to look very professional! Unfortunately, in my area couples actually price shop and go with the cheapest rates and think DJs are just a jukebox and nothing more! It is very sad!
Not being able to safely leave the controller prewired in the case is a huge deal breaker for me
I get that. A hard shell or pelican style case would help keep things prewired
Yeah that’s why I have stayed away; unless you have a huge case made to store it fully assembled.
@collinbischoff592 The updated rail system pictured here 6:12 allows you to keep a controller secured. It's much wider than the first Gen. I've had no issues keeping a sx2 velcroed in with a decksaver. I also use a small moving blanket on top with straps to keep the deck saver in place.
I have one and was able to carry my controller in it. It was strapped into the top secured with a strap and deck saver.
To add - I have a REV7, and have it velcroed down and use the cover. NO PROBLEMS. It does NOT move. I strap it down as well.
That's also great to hear! I've just personally never had much luck.
I have been really enjoying your videos! I noticed you have the Denon Prime 4 controller in the Command Center. How do access the power button in the Prime 4 controller? By removing the entire Command Center top? As far as I can tell you have to access the integrated power switch to turn the controller on - a power tap alone will not work.
It's really easy to remove the top, and removing the top at the beginning of every gig is part of the expected workflow
Thanks much for responding so quickly!
How did you convert that into a TV booth?!?
I haven't made a video on it, but I hung a TV from the front and placed some panels on the sides and front
Send a link when you do.
I'm thinking of buying the bunn booth. Can I add on a drawer with a power conditioner and my mics? Can it all stay in the booth. Do I need to velcro stuff? Love your videos my friend.
Thank you! In the 19" rack you can install a drawer and power conditioner permanently. You can Velcro stuff in the top compartment, like a docking station. Thanks for the support!
Great video and awesome to see a dj going with the black look. I am so sick of seeing the all white.
Thank you for watching! I actually chose black because several people in my area had white lol Felt like it would help set me a part a little bit
What are these kind of light sabers you show at 2min21. Which brand ?
They are these tinyurl.com/86nrwxcs
Great video! Appreciate the well balanced review! You got a super clean look! I’m considering a podium vs my current fascade. For your top, did you get the cut out to include your SoundSwitch? Thanks again!
Thanks! For my first top, i cut it out myself. Then my second one included it
By second, did you just get it custom made through bunn gear and tell them that you need both controller and SS Dmx cut outs?
Looks good. But not $2500 good. 20 years in and still just throw my gear on a table. My clients don’t care. Can see it being needed in a Miami, etc
Thanks for watching! I totally understand. Not for everyone
$2500 can buy you alot of gear. I tried selling my furniture as upgrades and not once has anyone even noticed the difference.
Yeah it's true, very few guests care about the furniture directly, but it does improve your visual appearance indirectly, and clients are always watching on social media
Hmmmmm....I can't justify $2,500 - $3,000 (Australian) for what essentially is just a DJ table
I totally understand. That's okay! I had a hard time myself
wait until kurtis conner sees this
