He was the COACH; if he can't stand being heckled after a loss by a bunch of college students, that's not the job for him.
Compared to former NFL HCs like Bill Parcells, Buddy Ryan, and Mike Ditka, what Tuberville did or said here pales in comparison. But then again, none of those three are running for political office, one of them died over 4 years ago and another one isn't running for ESPN NFL Countdown job.
BTW, Tuberville had a mostly successful College HC career, particularly at Auburn from 2002-2006. He went in to an unwinnable situation at Texas Tech after Mike Leach was fired and most of his players, alumni, boosters, and school weren't thrilled. But Texas Tech trustees and AD needed a fresher, "legitimate" HC that could stear and settle the team's image for a few years.
Well, now his new job is US Senator

Football is a very stressful and passionate sport. Coaches have enormous pressure on them. It's very easy after the fact to judge. Especially when you have never been in that position.
He did this here at Tech too when he yanked that headset off of the Assistant Coach. Imagine what he’d do in the US Senate. Vote for Doug Jones in November.

He might get angry at time and you may not like him. But Tuberville was not a crook. You should not say things like that which so obviously untrue.
It is TRUE Tommy Tuberville has always been for SALE to the highest bidder! His falling right in line in the US Senate! VOTE THAT BUM OUT!
He should be fired, not for this outburst, but because he is way past his prime. The team has gotten worse every season since he's been here. We won't be attending another game until he's gone.

People get older and as you age stress reactions to younger people can be quick and heated, but, we remember how the great coach Woody Hayes at Ohio State got as he got older. Under the pressure coaches are under in D1 football programs, perhaps coach needs to talk to someone before he has real issues.
