    Got to the end of the vid.Fantatsic. I was up in the peak district last W E & had some weather(not as bad but bad enough.), I notice on your internal shots the wind & rain blowing the fly onto the inner causing wet patches. I had that as well but thankfully did not soak my quilt.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah the rain was driving through under the fly and even under the footprint. You could see it in the vid lifting up. In all honesty I pitched it wrong side into the wind but in my defence, there was zero wind when I pitched it and none forecast 🙄

    Hey Mike that was some wind😮 how far did you walk to your pitch?
    I do like that stove, however how good is it in cold temperatures? My jetboil doesn't work too well in the winter as the gas contracts.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  7 месяцев назад +1

      It's designed for colder temps as you can turn the gas cannister upside down otnhelo the flow. And it's really not that far a walk. Maybe 20 minutes to half an hour depending on your speed 👍

    Hi Pal!
    Very glad to see X-Mid survived without damage etc! I had quite similar conditions 400m above Loch Ness when doing Great Glen Way, but not as windy.
    My clothes and tent were soaking wet to start with and bottom of my inner tent was letting water in or maybe it was just condensation between mattress and ground, not sure if you have similar problem with this tent when super rainy and wet.
    Other then that love how strong it is with just trekking poles to hold it.
    Atb

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  7 месяцев назад +1

      It held up superbly bearing in mind it was pitched side into the wind as when I pitched it there was no wind to know which way. The rain was being driven in under the fly and over the groundsheet so it flooded the underside of the inner but I think me getting in and out going to the toilet then packing up just let the rain come through when I unpacked my down quilt was still dry so I know it wasn't till after I packed away it got wet. Great tent though and held up well. 👍

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes and it wasn't pitched right. There was zero wind when I pitched it and when the wind kicked in it came from the side and I should have had it facing head on. So yeah it did really well. The real flappy interior shot was where my trekking pole collapsed due to the pressure of the wind. I managed to re tighten the locks and get it back in place 👍
