    You really want to dilute the acetone with distilled water at least 1:1 ratio. I use Windsor & Newton Brush Cleaner and Restorer (the original formula NOT the new formula) which is basically heavily diluted acetone. The new formula is basically soap and water with some glycerin additive and will not work.

    Can't you use Baking Soda & Water? That worked on Tech Toys youtube channel when he bought a Donatello ninja turtle figure from 1989.

    Baking soda failed me going to try the 90% aclohol

      Good luck. If it doesn't work, definitely grab some Acetone and just dab lightly!
