No other artist can perform such a touching tribute to John Lennon and his Across the Universe, I've been lucky to listen to it live, and it's so moved.
John Lennon and Roger Hodgson, two great composers, two legends, two myths

I have seen on video as Roger singing "Let it Be", on tour with Ringo Star, also in a concert Night of the Proms. I enjoyed live with "Across the Universe" great tribute to John Lennon. On a personal level Roger Hodgson & John Lennon bear a strong resemblance to his songwriting, always with the heart, using their best feelings to create songs that reflect the soul of life. Undoubtedly, for me, two of the best composers in the history of modern music. It would have been amazing to watch them play together on some occasion. You "Imagine" ?

Wonderful interview! Roger and John both alike poured their heart and soul into their songwriting with songs that continue to touch so many around the world. It was a very special treat to hear Roger perform "Across the Universe" at the first concert I saw of his, a brilliant moment forever treasured ♡ Looking forward to seeing Roger in concert again this year!

Why is there music from the Who in the backround?

+ali40love It's the Top 2000 theme, which is a list with 2000 songs which are played on Dutch Radio 2 in the final week of December each year. Always a great way to end the year with, especially because we get to hear some rare songs on the radio.

The Beatles are the best, however The Who's Overture in the background is not far behind either of them!
