- What happened to the 2018 UMBC Retrievers?!
On March 16th, 2018, 16-seeded UMBC took down the 1-seeded Virginia in the March Madness Tournament. The first time in the history of the tournament that a 16-seed beat a 1-seed!
Somehow it has been more than 5 years since that took place. So in this video, I will be giving you an update on every UMBC player who made an appearance in that legendary game!

Daniel Akin is not playing only in French Pro A but also in Fiba Basketball Champions league (one of the 4 European continetial cups)
As a UMBC alumn and someone who was actually at that game, it was the greatest sporting event I've ever been part of. Lyles still comes to some home games. Brandon Horvath followed Odom to Utah st where he played 1 season and now is playing in Brussels. Think he was selling some sports merch too.
