I went for my first run with this head lamp this morning in the dark , and in the rain and it was great I ran through the local park that has no lights and it saw me through .
It is a great head torch , if your doing work with it the strap is sufficient , but if your running which is why I bought it then I would recommend sewing another strap from the front to tbe back as I did and it will hold better on your head .
The strap the torch comes with is adequate for light movement but not for running as you bounce more .
But all in all it's a great torch, and I highly recommend buying it , it is such good value , and more than half the price of other torches with the same power ..
True Petzl is more expensive and less powerful and more expensive Petzel not for me you pay just the brand héhé !!!!!
Thanks for a review on a decent lamp not many people are reviewing. Not sure why. They seem like good products. Seems like a good durable floody type light. Not sure how i feel about bats that have the usb port though.
Thanks for watching! The batteries with the port is a good thing because it's less of a chance for dirt to clogg up the port on the light itself and fail. I've been using those types of batteries in other products for year without any problems. The TRANSCEND & TRANSCEND 1500 are both great headlamps. Have a great day my friend! 😊
That's a very good point. I didnt look at it that way! Im leaning towards the transcend 1000 though because of its price point. The other which i feel is a direct comparable is the Coast 1000 lumen XPH30r. Would love to see a shootout between both. Maybe I'll buy one of each and do a comp video.

I say this, because they may not continue to use USB-C for a very long time (probably not that long now) and if the company happened to no longer be around, it would be a very hard power source to source. 😛

Thank you for your reviews and actually demonstrating the product. So, in your opinion, do you think that the plastic harnesss brackets that the lamp clicks into would give in to brittleness over time with heat/cold etc. I could be using the lamp at 100/20 depending on the season. I would worry that one of those four pieces may break off while inserting or removing. Thanks so much if you see this and reply! I love a good headlamp. 🙂
I think it will hold up and not get brittle unless you just leave it in the direct sun. I use mine all the time and it has done a great job. Thanks for watching!

Will the 1500 fit in the 1000 mount? I like the 1000 strap mount for comfort reasons.
I only throw my hat in because he has not replied yet, but I think when he talked about the ridges/gaps on this one, I don't remember him talking about that on the other, but that still doesnt mean they may not be interchangable. Be well my friend.
