I loved all the commentary about the crowd because I was part of it. I went to plenty of shows in Milwaukee back in the 90s and can tell you that while the WWF drew the more "mainstream" crowds, WCW shows brought out a combination of the diehards, the tape traders, the dirt sheet readers, and the old schoolers that stuck around after the AWA days. It made for a much rowdier atmosphere than you'd find at WWF shows even in the same building (KOTR 1996 was in this building just a few months earlier). In fact, this was more or less the same people who showed up for the ECW shows when they started running Milwaukee.

They basically got paid slot of money to party LOL All they did was go out in the ring wasted and cut a promo for 5min. I can’t even remember one match from them... Also signing “The Best there is the best there was and the best their ever will be...” should’ve been legendary. But he had no story line and was basically just a loner on the show. He was the best talent and already had a fan base, he should’ve been an easy push. But they flushed it all down the toilet. They should have never let Eric Bischof have control of the money and signings he buried them!

That rana counter from Último reminds me of the World Liner that Yokosuka Susumu pulls out on Dragon Kid.

Serious question- I never watched WCW as I'm from Ireland and I didn't have the channel it was on. I played the games on the Nintendo and had friends who watched it so I knew most of the wrestlers, especially the big stars. What happened to Lex Luger after WCW collapsed? Was he out of wrestling before it even collapsed? He seemed like a huge star. I know most of the top guys in WCW didn't come to WWF/E during that botched Invasion angle but most of them came later. Where did Luger go?

He sadly never got picked up by WWE. Then his life went down from there. He had a spinal stroke and has been in a wheelchair since 2006. He is an amazing person. He’s completely positive about his life and career. Lex should be in the hall of fame.

Dragon and Dean were top tier WCW guys. I wish we could go back and pick and choose the guys we wanted, like a draft, from both sides to start a new wrestling order. Even if it was just one show. Highest grossing ppv ever!

Back in the day my friends and I joked about Chris Benoit's WCW theme music sounding like Horseman business 😉music. Haha. Good times.
