Saban found a way to keep his players because nobody else was paying them at the time. Saban's brown bag of cash system was unmatched. Now with the NIL game making Saban's payment system irrelevant, players are all getting paid and are free to go. What a coincidence that Saban decided that it was time to retire.

Absolutely absurd to say that KF knows what he’s doing….deacon hill, Brian ferentz, Jon budmyer, Spencer Petras, ect ect. 0-92 last year against ranked teams. Tell me again how JoePa jr Ferentz knows what he’s doing? Oh….against little teams that is the backbone of his wins in bigten. Then yes, he knows what he’s doing.

@@tammymatt9186 so……that would tell me he is lacking in recruiting and since all “10” wins came against teams with a combined losing record it doesn’t make the new wave of fans any happier to see a once proud program be diminished to a laughing stock of college football.
He is a class act, and his record proves his value as a coach. I’m tired of you all complaining about him. Not an Iowa fan, just an observer and you guys will one day look back and realize this.
When Kirk retires, Iowa winning 3 games a season will be considered great
