Iowa will get a big time bowl game because they have tremendous following. However, the quality of team they will face will embarrass Iowa. This has to be the worst offense on the planet.... Get ready to be shellacked.....
@@brqxton8974 .....look at the rankings of the offenses in the conference. All you have to do is have a stout defense and your offense at the very least take care of the ball. You have a chance in most of the games.....Especially vs Nebraska.

Iowa needs to get themselves and offense. They would be a top 5 team every year if they could score points.
It has a lot to do with the coaching and bad play calling, also a ton of injuries to key players but primarily the play calling.

The interception that Purdy threw was straight up blind. He threw it right to the linebacker and it came back to bite Nebraska’s chances of being Bowl eligible. The Nebraska football program has not been the same after Tom Osborne retired

@@BigShooter2000Bo pelini had you guys at least competitive in the big 10. The problem was the fan base and school( very very foolishly) completely over estimated the strength and quality of the b12 and moronically under estimated the strength and quality of the B10 up and down which minus your outlier seasons, the b10 is and has been by far a much more superior conference. And nebraska thought because of their success in the 12 that would transfer over. But nobody that’s a fan of a big10 school even blinked at nebraska joining and knew the rude awakening was coming for nebraska and unfortunately for them they’ve been the door mat of the conference after cutting Bo. 8-9 wins was successful nebraska fans just can’t grasp the concept that program is no longer a major player in college football.players nowadays have never lived in a world where nebraska was relevant so they’re not getting the attention of the recruits who are the best of the best. Those years are long gone. And it ain’t gonna change no matter who the coach is outside of a Sabin, Smart, Meyer, etc those natty winning coachs and the weight of their name, reputation, and resume is the only way to attempt to get back in the top 10 team convo.. it is what it is. Rhul is a great coach and he’ll get em better but not in a single year

I know iowa fans love the head coach. But you will never bet the teams that matter while he is in Iowa. It's about recruiting.
Yet they have beaten the teams that matter many times in the past with Kirk Ferentz as the coach. The players have a deep respect for him for a reason. He has beaten top 10 teams numerous times as head coach to include Michigan and OSU.
It’s a developmental program and they’re proud of that. Iowa’s recruiting class is consistently ranked between #30 and #40. They’ve turned numerous walk-ons, 3-star guys etc. into NFL players. A good example- Iowa was Cooper DeJean’s only FBS offer and he’s going to be a first round pick in the spring.
Hard fought game. Up and down.
With how much attention Iowa was getting I thought for a while that Petraswas the name of their school mascot with how that name was being talked about, not the QB/Most important player on the team(usually).

Oh I know who this is. This is a cry baby fan from Penn State. Yep, your team was so upset about that loss a couple years ago that they rigged this game at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night for a White Out game and every other advantage just to beat Iowa. The starting quarterback was hurt, the two top TEs were gone as was the two top running backs were gone. Yeah, go ahead and relish your big victory over a very depleted Iowa squad that night. 🙄

Iowa is the twin that's riding the Harley Hog n Nebraska is the other twin still riding the tricycle. Iowa believes they can games, Nebraska hopes they can win games. Til they change that mentality culture Nebraska will never shed the training wheels. Nebraska has to believe then achieve to win close games before they can even be thought of being on the Harley.

@@skylermummert24 this all honestly really started when Steve Peterson canned solich back in 03. That was our first major mistake then for sure bo pelini. I prob miss bo more than anyone though because he made his players and the media feel him. He laid the rath of god down his players and they responded. Not to mention constant 9-3 records. Not quite sure what is wrong with that.

Will they get blown out in the championship game? Probably. It’s not iowas fault. This is the last year of the east and west thankfully. Michigan choked in the playoff last year. It’s Not like they got dog walked by TCU. OSU also choked. Georgia and OSU were definitely the best 2 teams last year.

we are not scared of the pac12 teams, UCLA and USC suck currently (7-5 with caleb williams????). Iowa put up 49 in a win vs USC in 2019. Oregon and Washington aren't used to playing defense. Watch Washington v Arizona State this year and tell me I have to worry🙄
