I spent my whole childhood on skates! When they paved over the bricks on my street, I was in heaven! How vintage does that make me? Thank you for showing me a new technique! I like the skate one the best. 💕
Claire, OMG, you absolutely NAILED this whole thing- absolutely love it!!! Thank youuuu for all the love, it means so much 🥰 You are inspiring me with these neons lately, neeed to try!!! xxx
I live in Snowdonia and all around now are the baby lambs and calfs and everything is bursting with life...not the obvious choice for a theme , but it's our life here in the valley and I absolutely love it...makes the heart sing x
Love the roller skates, takes me way back. I had strap-ons with metal wheels till I got rubber ones. FABULOUS!!! 🙂 Love the squiggles and the green and yellow one.👍👍👍
So I couldn’t wait to get home and try this technique! I did not use epoxy resin but used a ceramic resin. At first I thought it was a miserable and total fail. But when I unmolded I was so surprised at how beautiful it turned out!
Love these claire, my kids, born in the eighties, had shell suits that this reminds me of. One thing though, the eighties was not 11 years ago, my kids have just turned 40!! 😂😂
Really cool and bright..You’re lucky being vintage..I must be classed as antique now lol! ..these are really fun and will brighten up the room you pop them in 🥰
Omgosh yes!!! I do remember those skates but mine were all white with a neon pink (had purple also lol) pom pom and a bell in the center. Friday nights as a teen, we would go to the rolling skating rink. Hydro dipping looks fun!
I think bright and botanical, honey!! No summer yet! Loved the roller skates. I used to skate all over a old building my dad worked in. No one was there except my and me! For hours I behold skate on the cement hallways! I was about 9 yrs old which was about 1977. Thanks for the memories!!
The roller skates really brought back visions of my childhood skating around the streets in my black swede with a rainbow 🌈 on them my mum would cringe an u could guarantee I’d need a plaster at the end of the day but yeah love these x
Can I just say THANK YOU for saying that about vintage!!! I heard tht term and str8 put my hands on my hips and said wait a minute I am not vintage!!!!
That’s amazing Claire!! Thankyou! I’m getting ready for Kids Camp at my art studio and this will be perfect for them. I would love to see Botanicals and oceans! Thank you for all you do! 🥰
This is so cool! I agree. The things they call vintage now scares me!! I should have saved all my stuff from back in the day and opened a “vintage “ store now!!!!
Ahhh I never had roller boots I had the old fashioned you strapped to your plimsoles 😆😆😆😆 Claire we are not vintage we are retro which is cool or so I am Led to believe. I absolutely love this he green and yellow one it’s my favourite of all ❤
Ms Claire, your creativity is getting more interesting day by day, loved the paint patterns made in water and then dipping the molds in them. The trays and coasters look so pretty with those pretty marble patterns 😍.And lovely doodle stickers, the creations look beautiful in the end💜😍
OMG, the memories! 🥰 Admittedly, I like pink even less than you like green (my Mami, may she R.I.P., overdosed me on pink as a kid and I've refused to have anything to do with it since I was about 11 or 12 and was allowed to choose my own stuff, lol) but the design and patterns are absolutely fabulous. ❤ You know, I actually still have VHS tapes (and audio cassette tapes) though my VCR is damaged (I'm hoping to get it repaired someday) so I can't even watch them anymore. 😅 The skates brought back so many memories too. Mine were more of a creamy yellow/beige/tan with green accents though because they were Cabbage Patch kids ones and I remember those were the main box and logo colors so their official skates were those colors too. I'm surprised that I still remember that so clearly since I was about 4 years old when I got them. 😯 Wow, so many memories even though I consider myself slightly more of a 90's child despite being born in 1980 exactly. However, the more influential years are generally your pre-teen and teen years so I really do consider myself more 90's kid. 😉👍
LOVE this whole neon sequence, Claire, but I'm really digging the roller skates! 😍 Sah-WEET, as my nephew used to say. 😅 IDEA: Make some Jesmonite trays or coasters...whatever. Pour water in them (not too much, just covering the bottom). Then, spray paint in blobs, tip water out and see if you can get those blobs to run? Maybe try on cardboard first to see if they'll even run. OR, pour iso alcohol into a shallow bowl (I know...eye watering! wear goggles and a mask) and see if the spray paint will allow you to do some marbling?
SWEET job - as my kids use to say look this is all new & nowmy grandkids say - look this is new lol - you know your getting old when it come full circle Hahaha
I like both the black and the white background. I saw the video you mentioned when it came out and I was amazed as well, just saving up some money before I try it myself, HAHA. I would love to see oceans next.
You could save some of the extra pieces, the interesting shapes for example, from the sheets like the one with the roller skates. Then you could use them in future designs. 😊
Ooo now then! LOVING the juicy copours wspthe green 😍 My son is in circus & does a skating act & his rollers look like your ones. His are blue & silver so not as cool as yours ❤ xx
Gorgeous neon marbled effects trays and coasters, Ms Claire 😍💜.Love those stickers too💜💜💜.They look perfect and so wonderful under the UV lamp 💜💜. And apologies once again for not being able to attend your live premiere 🙏💜
You can also get more of a marbling technique by not just dipping down once...swirl your piece around in the water, picking up some of the floating pieces. It will cover the surface in more random patterns and layers!! 😊 You'll just have to do a topcoat to smoothe it all out when finished!!
OMG Claire !!!! Those roller skates in that trinket tray are absolutely gorgeous…just as I remembered but usually with the brown & orange colors on them like you said 😂😂😂. Glad the Cricut had those designs ready to be used, can you imagine having to draw all those roller skates details all by hand ??? My hand will be exhausted by the time I’m done. 😵💫🤣🤪
Great video Claire 👍 Love how these have come out ( taken me back in time Lol ) 😍 Another great idea is doing paint skins as those are fun to do as well and you can get some great effects 🤩
11:12 Have you considered where there are medium+ sized blank areas cutting them out of your sheet before you peel so that you can make use of all those unused areas? If you have some hand held shape cutters of different shapes or a Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutter which you can make use of these off cuts rather than bin them? I have transparent envelope folders for things like this, so if I am cutting out something & I only need small pieces I can root around for what I need in there. I do this with all sorts of scraps with vinyl, paper, card & sticky labels. They come in really handy.
I spent my whole childhood on skates! When they paved over the bricks on my street, I was in heaven! How vintage does that make me? Thank you for showing me a new technique! I like the skate one the best. 💕
You can do this (on a smaller scale) with nail polish.... including all of those glittery/metallic colors that are amazing to use!
That's what I was gonna say too!! 😊
Claire, OMG, you absolutely NAILED this whole thing- absolutely love it!!! Thank youuuu for all the love, it means so much 🥰 You are inspiring me with these neons lately, neeed to try!!! xxx
Love the roller skates, takes me back to my younger days. Like the green and yellow. Innovative squiggles is cool too. 👍👍👍
As an 80's girl myself, the neon is my childhood. It was everywhere! These designs are so nostalgic! 😄
Rollerskates are so evocative of their hayday. I can feel and hear the rumble now!
"They're calling it vintage and it kind of hurts me" 😂😂😂 Same Claire! LOVE the roller skates 🩷🩷
I'm obsessed!! My roller skates, back in the 80's, had neon green and neon pink wheels. These are amazing!! ❤❤

Love the tape on your thumb for weeding.

All of those sound fantastic!!
Love it! Also Maribu Marbling Ink works well for this ❤
Oh it's gorgeous Claire, love it!!! I think you could do cloud days!
You could save some of the extra pieces, the interesting shapes for example, from the sheets like the one with the roller skates. Then you could use them in future designs. 😊
I think a season of gemstone inspired crafts would be great ❤
Ooo now then! LOVING the juicy copours wspthe green 😍
