I bought the watch well before the movie. A lovely timepiece. My only complaint was the cheap-looking strap. But with a strap of my choosing it became a favorite.
A couple of points: -- Yes, the watch *is* in the movie. Indy gives the backstory ("it's my dad") when Helena Shaw's sidekick returns it to him, having picked it off his wrist. It also appears on Indy's bedside table near the end of the movie. -- The fact that it belonged to Henry Jones Sr. explains why the now-elderly Indy would wear this instead of a "proper" field watch like a trench, an A-10 or "dirty dozen" pattern. Henry Jones Sr. was portrayed as "not a field person" and more an academic, and this style is very much what Jones Sr. might have gotten as a retirement watch (after being a pocket watch person for so long).
Well indy wouldn't and couldn't wear a quartz. It's quartz in the film for convenience sake. But it was his dad's watch first who bought it in the 40s and quartz didn't exist then. So no in universe he uses a mechanical. I own the quartz but I wish I had a mechanical, and if they ever make a version of this one but mechanical I'll be getting that one instead.
He would not wear a Hamilton quartz anyway. Even though there was quartz in 1969. It was introduced very late in the year (december 25). And it was a Seiko.
@@MrPleers well in the movie he does wear a Hamilton. But like I said the watch was his dad's from the 40s. And that's probably the only reason he even wears it. In the earlier films we see he doesn't even wear a watch at all. I mean you can see a tan like were he would've had one but I'm guessing that's just. Cause Harrison Ford was wearing one and took it off for filming. But cannonically for his adventures I don't believe indy ever uses a watch he goes more by when the sun goes up or down.
So Indiana Jones wearing a quartz watch from Hamilton in 1969. Even though the very first quartz watch came out at the very end of that year. (December 25). A Seiko. Seems he timetraveled even before he got his hands on the dial of destiny.
Because the one in the first is supposed to be mechanical but instead of getting an actual mechanical they just used a quartz as they look identical. And if this one was actually mechanical no doubt it'd be even more expensive.
Attractive design for a prop watch. Safe for only for hand washing, mineral crystal, press-on back, quartz. Expensive cosplay prop, not an adventure watch.
I bought one. Don’t. Its crap. Expensive crap. If it was half the price it still wouldn’t be worth it. It feels cheap. Even the strap feels cheap. Im sending it back. For less money i can get a prx powermatic 80. If it had a mechanical movement and sapphire id keep it because the dial is quite nice, and the size is perfect and i can change the strap but for £690 i can get much better things. Seiko alpinist, a hamilton khaki field…..

This is £675 in the uk .... for a quartz !!! Should be about £300 max
Yep WAAAAAAAAAAAY over priced

It’s cheaper to buy an original in good condition than what they want for this piece.
Absolutely! I picked my original Boulton up at a flea market For 80.00!
Show us footage of this watch being used in the Movie!
Nice! Sorry if I missed it in the video but how big are your wrists?
Wrist size is just under 8”
that's why it looks so good! I think the proportions are a little too big on a smaller wrist@@Hiconsumption
gördüm ve hemen aldım.evet, mekanik değil,ama detayları çok güzel, mekanik modeli çıkarsa onu da alırım.

For that price with quartz and a mineral crystal it’s just not worth it. At least make it sapphire
The numbers reads as small watch, but looks too big IMO
Indiana wearing a quartz watch?? That's just wrong!

No! This watch is NOT in the Movie!
Nice watch, but the size/ mm is a girls size...
It's so overpriced. I mean it's a really nice looking piece. It's a quartz watch. It should be like 350 usd top.
Yes but a Tank cost 3300
@@junhokim4328not all tanks are quartz movements. And they’re also made with precious metals at times etc…
