I got isles of Sea and Sky after you talked about it in a community post, amazing little game that makes the brain hurt in the good way. My only real complaint is that i wish the game had a better way to communicate that you just CANT solve a puzzle because you lack an needed iten (lost a lotta of time in the water and ice islands trying to solve a few unsolvable ones), but still an great game!
Got Isles of Sea and Sky on day 1 and have been playing it on my Steam deck after completing Animal Well. Actually, more like burned out on Animal Well's post-game trying to hunt down all the hidden rabbits. I've been following Isles since it was called Akurra with a demo released a couple years ago. Really great addition to the sokoban genre and I am loving the vibes including Link's Awakening-style visuals crossed with with Temple Run theme and relaxing music.
Next Fest is "over" but most of the demos are still available, so I'm still going! 😅 Favourites so far: - Tactical Breach Wizards - Rise of the Golden Idol - Gestalt: Steam & Cinder - Last Moon - Dungeons of Hinterberg I've got your commenters to thank for some of those. Wishlist ballooning 😵💫
I actually have notes in my phone, rating each game haha. Don’t judge me! Favourites have been Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop, Tactical Breach Wizards, Arranger, Blue Prince, Voidwrought, Wizard of Legend 2, Metal Slug Tactics, ONE BTN BOSSES, Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, Odinfall, StarVaders, Drill Core, Tails of Iron 2, Lone Fungus 2
I love Signalis. I discovered it last year and I couldn't stop playing it. I really dig the atmosphere, the art design and the story. But the most annoying thing to me was the inventory management.
Every time someone mentions sound design and horror I feel compelled to recommend the stellar _Darkwood,_ it only looms larger the further away it gets. Likewise, every time someone mentions puzzle games, I must recommend _Stephen's Sausage Roll,_ it's fabulous, but because of the look, there's almost never any uptake, which is a darn shame. And finally, the last recommendation that barely gets any uptake, _Hyper Demon,_ one of the few shooters that can actually transport you in time and space.
ahh all three are already buried deep on my wishlist! been really feeling puzzle games lately so i may have to pick up the sausage game or maybe A Monster's Expedition next
@@nocapsbb Stephen's Sausage Roll is great, it's inventive in ways that can bend your brain. If you're looking for a more easy-going puzzler, Carto stands up.
Roboquest is entirely my kind of game and I don't know why I haven't gotten around to it. I'm glad to hear Ilse of Sea and Sky isn't too hard. I love Baba is You but I found it too hard and it kinda put me off the genre.
Neon white is a masterpiece in my opinion🥸 The mechanics are amazing and the way it allows the player to tackle the levels lets people on every skill level speedrun it and go against their own times aswell as others. Boomerang X is also great, although much more contained. Another good video; Isles of Sea and Sky is definitely on my radar now!
it definitely gets a lot harder once you're a few levels in.. i'm thinking about using a guide to unlock some more stuff that makes the late game easier haha
Your videos are awesome. I love seeing and playing your recommendations.
3 secrets per screen? That'll fill the post animal well void
Animal well is such a gem 💎 ❤

Thank you for the recommendations, I’m planning on playing Roboquest with Game Pass.
Signalis is peak classic survival horror and Isles of Sea and Sky is peak sokoban. I will check RoboQuest.
RoboQuest and Signalis are indeed amazing games. The third one I’ll have to check out. Thanks for the recommendations!

Ended up with over 100 demos to play from my wishlisted games. Managed to get through 55 of them so far, and counting!
@@chrishoward8500 heroic effort! 😄 Any favourites so far?

@@chrishoward8500 haha, not judging, I'm downloading half of 'em 😆
Hadn't even heard of many of those, and I had no idea Tails of Iron got a sequel.

void stranger is another great sokoban rec with esoteric puzzles and secrets like animal well
incredible game, needs more recognition

Neon White it's great, even if the first three chapters make you cringe a lot, the gameplay it's incredible and makes up for it.
When have you *not* been playing a lot of games? 😁
That's why we come here, you know! 😁
Please do try out Neon White 🙏 one of the games of all time
RoboQuest is good, but Neon White is a different level.
Boomerang X is amazing, I recommand it :)

that 3rd game would go hard on a 3DS
i've only been playing it on steam deck... just begging to be played on handheld
I enjoyed my time with Roboquest but I found it a little too difficult. I’m not very good at fast paced shooters though.

do you have a discord server for chatting indie games?
i do, just re-added the link to my about section
