I live in Brooklyn, so there are no homes with backyards like this available under a couple of million dollars. But this house without the yard in my neighborhood would be 3 million + and it would probably be split between two levels with the living space downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs.

The sink divider was made before dishwashers were common… people used one side for washing dishes, the other side for rinsing dishes….

Ahhh that makes sense. So no use for them now?!

@@livinginhtx yeah, I was sitting there thinking what year were you born. It’s actually still quite prevalent. It’s also very prevalent in African-American families because a lot of us don’t wash our hair in the shower. We actually still use the sink. Also, everybody doesn’t use their dishwasher. I totally had my daughter washing dishes. And she has to wash dishes until she shows that she can be responsible with that before. She’s allowed to use the dishwasher because the dishwasher is an amenity not a necessity.
This is why we have many problems in the world. Our kids don’t know the difference between necessity and amenity.

lol at I don’t do the dishes. I like the divider. I like to keep soapy water on one side to wash dishes as I go so they don’t pile up, and also to soak dishes that need it. I very rarely let dishes pile up to justify using a dishwasher.

Hi Kyler, The larger house in the south Denver metro area would be in the million dollar range, with no brick, no land, no patio and none of the lovely design elements of the elevations in Houston homes.

From Toronto and house #1 here in this city would cost somewhere around 800K to a million plus you could see what your next door neighbor is wearing to bed 😅. I'm so done with this and planning to move to Houston in near future.

I’m from Alabama and it’s very rare that I see certain amenities publicized in a lot of the RUclipsr videos. For instance, I think it may be quite standard in the area that you focus for you to have a tankless water heater. However that’s the area where the same builders cut cost Where I’m from in Alabama. So for instance, a Toll Brothers home and a DR Horton home here in Alabama. It doesn’t come standard with the tankless water heater. I’ve had a home with one, but I had a lot of trouble when I had to sell that home trying to get the equity out of that home. Fortunately, for me, I wasn’t the homebuilder I purchased it and it was just a part of it because it was a handicap home. But yeah, there are a lot of things that you probably gross over that, just something you haven’t seen but it’s still common other places places.
For instance, most apartments and small houses in a lot of other states, maybe it’s mostly the deep south definitely have their washer and dryer behind the door. And they have no pantry because they’re trying to save space to put that space into a living area.

I would definitely have to take a visit and see what life is like out there. I’m not familiar with Texas at all. Thanks for a really great video showcasing the homes. @@houstonisgreat1387

Watching your videos has really peaked my interest on moving back. I’m not anywhere near a real estate expert as you guys are,but I’m happy to see that Houston area still has great value homes. Not only that they are beautiful.
