The main problem with High Guardian Academy is that it leans too hard into "quirky magical school" for the sake of being a "quirky magical school."
It is like the writers saw Hogwarts and the school in Little Witch Academia and said "I can do that too" without understanding that the school is supposed to teach things and effectively serve as a plot point in the story.
Hogwarts is central to a lot of the plot in HP because SO many students and teachers have a history or active presence there. The school is basically a character in the story, and should be treated as such.
HGA goes through the motions, opting for quirky inconsequential situations and "lol look how much danger the students are in because the teachers don't care lol so funny."
Which is another issue. The teachers at HGA are, dare i say, indifferent at best and utterly sadistic at worst. They fling the students into danger and laugh at them when they're not prepared, because they PURPOSELY refuse to prepare them despite the fact that it is literally their job to do so.

And once again, them never explaining what Guardians are or what they do rears its poorly animated head.
In Harry Potter, Hogwarts and the other magic schools are basically the wizarding equivalent of middle/high school, which is why the classes are so varied.
And in other settings like My Hero Academia, Little Witch Academia, Owl House... heck, I will even throw in lesser examples like RWBY and Infinite Stratos... the classes are relevant to what the students will be doing, what they came to the school to learn.
Not so in High On Spice. We don't know what Guardians are or what they do, but we do know it's not something everyone does ("High Guardian Academy doesn't just accept anybody", said by Daddy Sage in episode 1), so the purpose of these classes is just confusing.

One thing - as to Mr. Enter questioning why they would be talking about destiny in an ethics class - that actually makes total sense. All philosophers of ethics discuss destiny. I always like trying to rewrite bad shows and movies, but for this show I'd only be keeping part of the skeleton of the script. Here I actually like the idea of the girls barely sharing classes, with an astrix. I'd want each pair of girls to share a class, as well has having a class all together and a class all alone. This way, you can tell whatever story you want, one focused on these two characters, one focused on the group, or one focused on a main character and a side character. Also, they should share a room, that way their bonding still feels natural despite them barely spending the day together. I do like a demon teaching ethics, but like you said you have to do something with that. Maybe the demon seems to be teaching how to bend ethics and rules to suit your needs, but when a student speaks out against this the demon actually supports them, with the end lesson being there's no one correct way to view ethics, you just have to do what you think is right. As for the poisoned tea, I actually love that idea, but only for higher level students. You shouldn't make kids on their first day think they're going to die, but telling kids about to graduate that they've been poisoned and need to brew the cure or else would be a great final exam. And then after class a student accuses the teacher of almost killing them, only for the teacher to reveal that they were poisoned, but it wasn't lethal. I'd even allow it to be a laxative and include a fart joke. But all of this is so far removed from what they do in the show it's no longer a rewrite, it's a new script.

Here's an idea for this episode: Instead of giving each character the most stereotypical classes like elves taking archery classes, have the characters START OFF with those classes, finding out that they don't like them, and finding a way to switch tracks. Maybe Thyme would like to try blacksmithing despite everyone telling her she can't because she's an elf (or whatever she is) and elves are "supposed to do archery."
Or, one time I saw the RUclipsr Guardian HQ do a rewrite of the scene between Rosemary and Caraway and they had Rosemary choose to do weapon enchantment for her Everything Hours. It might be interesting to see a wreckless warrior like Rosemary learning some magic that can apply to her warrior status.
I'm thoroughly convinced that everyone on the show staff was drunk or high while working on this because there are IDEAS here that were staring them right in the eye and they just flat-out ignored them.

RWBY, Naruto, MHA, Black Clover etc. All of these shows tell you what Huntsmen/Huntresses, Shinobi, Heroes, & Magic Knights do in their respective fields of expertise. HGS does none of that. Enter is right that it is literally someone's first D&D campaign in animated form.😂

I agree with almost everything you've observed; but as someone who taught before, I think I understand the scheduling aspect. When the schools I taught in were block-schedule (4 classes one day, a different 4 classes the next), it was completely possible for two students to have the same subject at different times on different days. For example, if I had 3 Spanish I classes, I would teach the same lesson 3 times over the course of 2 days. I think it doesn't work for HGS though, because the first-year class is so small, so even guardians on different tracks could absolutely take the same class at the same time and free up the teacher's schedule to teach the more advanced classmen (that we never saw in the show).
If they ABSOLUTELY needed to separate Sage and Rosemary, they needed to do what Harry Potter did and put them in different houses, with certain houses sharing a class (like Gryffindor shared potions with Slytherin in first year). There should also be a narrative reason for this. In their separate classes, Sage and Rosemary might discover different clues and plot points and meet after class to compare notes to solve a mystery. But hey, I've never worked on a professional storyboard before, so...

That is a severe understatement. High Guardian Spice is largely inoffensive besides its pure lack of quality. Velma is actively bad in every way they could possibly cram into it. High Guardian Spice has passion with zero competence. Velma has only hatred and contempt, including for its own audience. HGS does not hold a candle to the sheer horror that is Velma. HGS teaches you what not to do, how not to write, by making such obvious and glaring mistakes. Velma only crushes your will to to live while teaching you nothing. Velma is millions, billions, TRILLIONS of times worse than HGS.
HGS is the bottom of the barrel. Velma is a dimensional abyss under the barrel that never ends, and is filled with lovecraftian nightmares that would make Cthulhu himself soil his little baby diapers. HGS is the worst show possible. I agree that the Guardian thing is pretty stupid, mainly because there's nothing definitive about who or what the group are supposed to be. Like, the practicing an art thing is surorisingly real for warriors; Miyamoto Mushashi humself stated to practice an art to better control yourself and temper the soul, but nothing about being a guardian speaks about being a warrior.
Personally if I were rewriting it, I'd keep it an academy but with an organizational structure similar to the Templar knights: with different orders focused on certain fields with one main focus of protecting the humanoid races and maintaining order as warrior monks.
Knights for traditional warriors, with specialized fighters based on martial art and weapon of choice.
Hospitallers for healers and menders. Guardians in fields of medicine and healing magic
Conservators as guardians of nature; those who hunt, scout, strategize and are especially trained in using nature, mystically and practically, to uphold the natural order.
Librarians as primary magic casters. Mystical barrier lords, artillerists, strategists and catalogers of history, science, arts, and mystical innovation
Meisters as the magic R&D department, consisting of artificiers, blacksmiths, machinists, etc.
And yes, I came up with this in mere MINUTES.

I had a pretty similar idea for changing the Guardian system, making so either there are different specializations for Guardians or making them these cultured, learned people in addition to being warriors/mages.
Particularly since the Guardian's Vow at the end of this episode includes always remembering history and always remaining curious and questioning, which implies Guardians serve much greater purposes to society than just swords-for-hire or whatever. It would have been nice for them to build off that, but they never do...

Trails of Cold steel (part of a long running JRPG series) showed how you can do this well. Basically all the main characters are part of a military academy. It's a prestigious academy, meaning that while. majority will go into armed service, it's a pedigree that can allow you to go to other fields.
So there are classes like Math, Science and Combat Tactics, alongside economics, art and music classes. But students are also encouraged to form their own clubs which they go to every week or so, or work for the student council.
Once a month there's also a free day where students can go to the townclose to the school, take a train to the cities nearby... Or focus on club work.
It's actually even better in Cold Steel 3 because your hub is in a new branch facility of the main campus. The principal is blunt, powerful and has a fearsome reputation, and says without hesitation that it's basically a dumping ground for "problematic" students (whether out of citizenship, unusual background etc.). Since the main campus and the country in general has become increasingly militarized and club activities weren't even part of the budget in the branch campus, the principal used her own money to provide supplies for clubs and forced students into an ultimatum: Either they make or join a club, or be forced to become part of the student council working under her, and she's perfectly aware that she scares everyone.
So now she's forcing the students to become individuals, differentiate themselves from the main campus and become less militarized while forming them holistically as more than future soldiers.

The show took enough time to make it about the potion that should be taken "every months".
But that didn't explained the background of Lavender, it didn't explained what a guardian is in this show.

  • @TheAgentGold

I'm starting to think we'll make it through this whole series without a clear idea of what a guardian actually is. Or else it's a feel-good job where you decide what it means, but then where does the money come from? (A bad answer is allowed, but you can't have no answer.)
The poison plot could totally work if the teacher isn't a psychopath. Set the stage by explaining that if your heart races, the poison will spread more quickly, so it's important to stay calm under duress to make that antidote you need. Have someone faint before class is over and start a panic, while the teacher encourages everyone to focus on what they're doing. Better still, have this student be Thyme, hinting that the one who shows the least fear is quietly experiencing the most. Then when everyone has created their antidote and is back to fretting over their fallen friend, have the teacher remove their poison with a spell based on the same antidote, and explain that this poison takes 2 hours between fainting and dying (the danger was real, but nobody was actually going to die today). Go on to explain that in the world of magic, students are going to make mistakes which could be deadly, and like any good school, this school will give them the chance to make many mistakes with the least amount of danger possible. Don't get too relaxed over that, because the consequences will be real if no one is there to bail you out. And you're going to need help when things go wrong, so don't embarrass each other too much when someone bungles an assignment--your turn will come.
Why do writers come so close before they fall short?

"Welcome to our wondrous academy, where you'll learn we have no idea what we're talking about, can't schedule people with similar professions & skills worth a damn, and hire awful abusive monsters as our professors!" ...Oh, who am I kidding, that's the most realistic thing out of this entire show! O.o
Jokes aside, I can only imagine the heart attack my mom would have if she had to organize classes that were so badly cobbled together as this. Also, yeah, that whole "free period, go do whatever you want" thing would be fine if it wasn't a REQUIRED expectation of the student body...kinda like how clubs work? You know...learn new OPTIONAL skills to branch out and figure out what interests you? Making it a requirement just adds even MORE unnecessary expectations and compounds what stress the students may already be experiencing: "Do this optional thing that isn't actually an optional thing or you'll fail and never become a Guardian", basically.
I do love the irony of that whole "we're gonna break out of established conventions...by making the dwarf a blacksmith and the elf a ranger. SO non-conventional! Woo!" mind-set, too, btw. I liked your idea better with the blacksmith character (I...already forgot her name, I'm sorry XD): maybe establishing that she may not even really want to be, but familial pressure of upholding tradition forces her to be one, or even having it where she thinks she knows what she's doing but revealing that she's actually an amateur or only knows how to make certain things and has to learn to step outside her comfort zone to be truly versatile as a blacksmith SHOULD be. Or, heck, if we wanna really go outside established conventions, hint early on that she really wants to do something else, like potion-brewing or learn magic, so maybe she decides to start intentionally flunking blacksmithing to get moved to a different class or something, that way we can establish this character has real, human flaws & emotions and, heck, even help to develop the professor as maybe someone who takes notice and wants to genuinely help his students improve and foster positive learning. Surely, as someone who loves to write and develop characters, it can't be THIS fucking difficult to do something so...BASIC!? >.>

    - So much wrong with the Ethics class scene...First off, Rosemary's apathy, which I'll get back to. Second, it seems to try setting up Snapdragon as a rival to Rosemary, like Amaryllis seems to be for Sage...except the most animosity between them is when Rose tried bothering him with a random picture shew drew. Third, the lesson shown suggests that the form of the two creatures alone determines their temperaments - I think a better lesson would have each creature act pretty much the same no matter their form.
    - I've considered a better solution to making an antidote to Redbud's poison: get a "refill" of tea from the dispenser that Redbud presented. Usually, the best way to make specific antidotes is with the poison you're trying to treat. Other than that, this is when Sage proves herself better than any students that specialize in New Magic with her Old Magic alone - she's already a prodigy, but still acts like an underdog in the rest of the series.
    - Putting aside how vague Sage's antidote-making method is, and how ridiculous it is for Parsley to make a full second dagger with only two hammer strikes...they do at least prove to have a place in this academy. Rosemary, though? She doesn't care to learn anything from Ethics, she bungles everything in Everything Hours, messes up the Tree pose and knocks everyone over, and takes forever to wrangle her dragon whelp after everyone else has finished (including the apparently physically-inferior Snap). What was it Sage's nameless father said again? "High Guardian Academy doesn't just accept anyone, you know." This line suggests that only the best of the best young teens are chosen. So from what we've seen, Rosemary shouldn't have been accepted! {sigh} At the very least, she does make some visible effort...unlike _Thyme._
    - Amusingly, despite being two of the main characters, and one of them being the protagonist, Rosemary's and Snapdragon's vows are just glossed over with a single word each. Hell, Sage has a more meaningful vow about everyone realizing their potential - that alone gives her way more protagonist energy than Rose! Ah, whatever. The Triad called all of their vows wrong, so what they believe as individuals apparently means nothing.

Putting the main group of characters in the same class is also a way to show their individual aptitudes to the subject within the same scene, and show the teacher interacting with one or more of them for further character work. In Harry Potter for potions for example, Slytherins are favoured, Hermione is criticised by Snape for being too clever, Neville is criticised for not being good and Harry is criticised because sins of the father and all that. All with characters in the same class. For Divination Hermione doesn’t see the merit, Harry and Ron treat it as an easy A but other students like Lavender Brown are more engaged.

The different schedules criticism, while it makes sense as a criticism for the plot's structure, I know from personal experience in college that sometimes professors will have to teach multiple sections of the same class if there's too many students who want/need to take the class. Especially with lower division classes that people take earlier on in their major. There might be several majors that have the same required class to take. For example I'm a Computer Science major, but the lower level programming classes overlap with like 4 or 5 other majors (such as Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Engineering), meaning there's a lot of students (on different "tracks") who need to take some of the same lower level classes. And while there are some cases where multiple professors are teaching the same class, sometimes a single professor will teach 2 or even 3 sections of the same class to meet student demand. It doesn't really matter if they're giving the same lecture multiple times a day or even on a different day in the same week (like typically at my college you'll have some Monday/Wednesday classes and Tuesday/Thursday Classes, and sometimes you can choose whether or not you want the M/W section or T/Th section of a class to help with avoiding scheduling conflicts).
So yes schedules are this individualized in real life. I can say this from my experience going to college. Not saying the writers handling it this way doesn't hurt the plot (I think thats probably the reason JK Rowling handled Hogwarts Houses the way she did), but a lot of schools (and probably the colleges the writers went to) handle class scheduling similarly to how High Guardian Spice handled it.

Another issue is that it really gives the whole thing "final year" vibes because THAT is when you have all the specialization on your courses.
For a first year, they should all have the basics courses of ethics, basic survival, monsters 101, and whatnot. Yes, seperating them for combat training makes sense with Melees fighting different than mages, fighting different than archers and so on. You can start grouping those together in year 2.
Sure, you can give them some chosen-routes, like potion class, blacksmithing and so on, but that is ONE class.
So to summarize, the group should only be split for 2 out of at least 6 different classes with the 2 warriors sharing an additional one...
I honestly do NOT understand what the point of hardcore splitting the girls up is in the first place. You WANT them to be together and interact! Instead you split them up, have to shove them into classes for which you have to create 4 group of extra characters to fill those classrooms with...
And, no, the poson scene would not work even as a lesson about "you could die".
    1. They carry around weapons, they KNOW death is an option.
    2. The only lesson here is to NOT TRUST THE TEACHERS! That is, for obvious reasons, very bad for a school. What's next? Teacher given wrong instructions on purpose to have students killed? Yeah, I would start to assume they lie to make me go unalive!

I'm a bit confused about the schedule point. Teachers usually teach the same class multiple times a day to different groups, and student's always have their own schedules to follow. Your schedule might intersect with your peers' at certain points, but just because you're in the same field doesn't mean you share the same time slots. Even narratively I like the idea of separate schedules, showing how someone acts outside of their friend group can be great characterization. Okay, hear me out. I think i know what they meant with wood.
They seem to be going with the Wuxing, meaning five elements, which did include Wood in place of Air and also had metal. But they failed to set it up and even then when other shows, like TMNT used it they fused it the more known four elements of water, air, earth, and fire. They tried to be clever but failed since they only half explain what they mean and not going through with it, and this is just a google search of info i have.

As soon as the old woman said no orientation only disorientation I expected Sage to respond with something like this: Sage: Wtf is disorientation?😕 Rosemary*looks around*: Uh where are the second & third year students? I found it strange that you don't see any second or third year students. Then again the entire show feels like a first draft badly written fanfic.

All the girls having different classes gives more opportunities for pairings. By default, Rosemary will hang out with Sage and Parsley with Time.
But with 4 main characters, there are 6 possible pairings. Often characters will show personality traits they usually don't if they are paired with someone they are usually not.
Of course this would require them actually having personality traits beyond the bare minimum.

Trying to fix this system is a daunting task, and I am about to do an abysmal job at it, but hopefully this will give someone else an interesting idea or two.
Personally, I like the idea of these Guardians learning things like blacksmithing, pottery, or ethics, in addition to magic and combat stuff. It could be used as a way to make them different than adventurers or mercenaries of other settings. My Guardian system and school reform will build off that. (While ripping off Blue Exorcist a little bit)
In this system, Guardians can come in two different broad types.
The first type is Defenders. Defenders have a wide range of abilities, mostly in combat but also some knowledge of history, arts, craftsmanship, politics, magic, all that. They can choose to either be mercenary/adventurer types, doing jobs and helping people throughout the world, or settle in as a Defender of a certain town or kingdom. They learn arts/crafts/ethics/history a bit because they do involve themselves in the culture of the world around them and occasionally function as figureheads of sorts, in addition to monster hunting and bandit fighting and all that.
    The second type is Exemplars.
Exemplars choose one area of study/expertise, and focus their life career on that. So you have Blacksmithing Guardians, who focus on everything smithing, from working with all different types of materials to making all kinds of things to learning the smithing methods of different cultures; Magic Exemplars, who learn all they can about magic, from learning spells of all sorts to understanding the nature of magic in the world; Potion/Medicine Exemplars, knowing about all different medicinal and alchemical ingredients, different concoctions, and the effects on bodies; Art Exemplars, seeking to understand art in all its forms across time and cultures, while striving to become great artists themselves; so on and so forth. With this they dedicate themselves to a career involving this specialty and/or become teachers of the next generation.
... There's a few things I would hope this would fix. For one relevant to this review, I hope to fix the schedule confusion: namely, that there would be very different schedules for a Defender and one of the Exemplar paths (and even if they end up sharing some classes, they might still be taught at different levels).

She’s either a succubus or a Tiefling. According to the wiki, she _is_ a demon. Like a flat-out demon.
    Teaching an ethics class.
I have no idea what a “demon” is in this context, but I can’t help but feel that this was a conscious decision on the writers. And if that’s the case, the characters should have some kind of preconceived notion regarding demons. They should have a reputation. And you _could_ do something interesting with this, too.
But I have a feeling nothing interesting _is_ going to be done with this, is it High Guardian Spice?

Just finished this episode in my own watching to see how bad it was for myself.
Enter hit pretty much all major points but one: They're ALREADY painting the 2 of the 4 main heroines as Mary Sues, showing them to be overly capable and competent. Parsely is so good at making daggers that she recieves a standing ovation from the entire class. They just stop what they're doing to applaud. Never mind that you're shaping molten metal and have a time limit. Then she makes a second one, just as good, with like 2 or 3 swings of her hammer. We didn't even see her quench the second one. Her being good at it is fine, and honestly expected if she grew up working in a forge. Just handle the competency montage a little differently.
Sage didn't do a lot on her OWN to show a lot of Mary Sueness, but Rosemary constantly stroking her ego gets annoying.
"You're gonna be a PERFECT Guardian!" "The Triad loves you so much they made dopplegangers of you just to have MORE of you!" I get the whole idea of being supportive of your friends thing, but Rose is laying it on TOO thick. And why was she the ONLY one trying to make the antidote? I give a pass to the kids whose hands got swapped for feet and tentacles, but everyone else was just panicking and crying. At least they HAD the materials needed and 1 hour to concoct the remedy, but nooooo.
As for the rest, Enter was pretty spot on. I will say, for as bloated and long-winded as the Guardian Vows were, the last line does go hard.
"If I break these vows, may my body be cast upon the stones, by sword broken, and my name erased."
Tweak it slightly, and that could be a great line. Kinda reminds me of the Jedi/Sith Codes, or the Lantern Oaths.

9:16 Here's what I would do: In the past of this world (do we get a name?), Dwarves made weapons for a Dark Lord. As a result, everyone hates Dwarves and now live underground to avoid scorn. However, Parsley's family got kick out of the underground kingdom. She starts out working for Satyr aka the goatman (Who in this version, works to make weapons used by the students). After meeting Rose Mary and Sage, who are nice to her, inspire her to attend High Guardian Academy and become a Gurdian.

To give some amount of credit, making the students answer something they don’t know isn’t entirely pointless. I’ve had short quizzes at the beginning of a new class or sometimes a new lesson that are just meant to gauge how much I knew or what i thought something meant. And making it used for something like a stating of personal values in your career is not a terrible idea.
Though having said that, I would think telling kids, especially younger kids, they’ll get it wrong and not making it clear that’s either a joke or part of the idea seems like it’d just make them overthink it and generally cause more stress than intended, not to mention that them being “guardians”, which I assume means protectors or peacekeepers of a sort, means having at least a basic template code of honor or something would be good to have to at least lessen the chance of allowing corruption or creating future supervillains.

A very non-stoic elf: Link from Breath/Tears. Guy is a total adventure goblin who likes jumping around with bomb shields, using shields to surf, flying around with a paraglider, eating random stuff he finds, mostly after attempting to cook it but not always, freaking out the awkward Gerudo by walking around their town without a shirt, just randomly deciding to go bug catching for several days, etc.

In fairness, at my college teachers in many subjects often teach the same class at several different times, as student classes are divided in 3-4 groups in any given year, each of those groups having a different schedule. This is done partially because a teacher can only actively engage with so many students at once, and also due to room space.

3:16 You know, I think this bit would be intersting, if the setting was a college / university. As that way, you can say "each one is trying to focus on their own different career". You can still have them share some "common knowledge" classes.
It even works if you focus on how it is a hardship the main characters need to overcome, if they need to choose between want to make friends or follow their dreams (and that's their main goal)

  • @forgottenanimator4474
    @forgottenanimator4474 11 месяцев назад +2

Like in the previous episode,i am going to say how this episode could have been better:
    - Now that we are in the academy,we should state how magic should work, after all, this is one of the biggest plot-holes in the series. I know it may gonna drive connections to Fullmetal Alquimist (which i haven't watched,so i don't know if it is truly gonna be connected to it),but i think the difference between old and new magic is the idea between alchemy and quimics. Old magic is the control of the 4 alchemy elements (Fire,Water,Air and Earth),which is a strong ability, but it is hard to control and not very utilized,as you can only control them into their base version, meanwhile, New magic is the power to variate and control other versions of element and stuff related to it. New magic is weaker, but far way easier to control and more used in Lingard than the old magic,as with new magic, you can control the amount of energy of something (for instance: Fire is the presence of energy,so most of that energy can be transfered to something like a steak, giving it more energy and allowing for those of eat so said steak get more energy to fight. Meanwhile, ice is the abscence of energy,so we can transfer energy from, let's say,a tip of an arrow and transfer that energy to ice. The ice will turn into water due to the energy transfered making the molecubes inside of the ice faster and more agitated, meanwhile, since the molecubes of rhe arrow's tip are slower, it will be cold and,if enough energy is transfered, you can actually make it so cold, that arrow tip could freeze somebody's arm as a whole).
    - Since the girls are new,we could see the disorientation part is due to them, maybe they go to wrong classes, Sage trying to do a spell for cure and end up making poison due to being new to new magic, trying to do something because they think they know, but end up actually showing that they don't know it fully well (Example: Rosemary thinking she knows combat, but in reality, she thinks combat is just beat up stuff by swinging a sword, but combat is more about the usage of a weapon, how should you manuver your weapon, etc)
    - With the characters,i think it could show in this way:
    • Rosemary: We could see that she wants to be like her mother - a protector of people who would sacrifice herself for anyone, just to let anyone have one small chance to see another day. In this way, we see her determination, however,we can see how stunborn she is,as she only uses her mother's sword, even tho it isn't good for her. This sword is a defensive weapon, used by strong users because it is a heavy sword, it would be a weapon of to avoid damage and not to deal much and it is used for left-handed people, meanwhile,Rosemary is a stunborn girl who is focuosed on attacking, trying to kill someone in a fast fight, even if she isn't that strong and she is right-handed, meaning this sword is not supposed to be used for her (in my version, Rose will change weapons in the show due to something. She will start with her mother's sword, which once broken in battle [no,it is not unbreakable] will be changed by a bronze dagger [a weapon who is small and doesn't deal alot of damage, but it is a light and faster use weapon],then she gets an offensive sword [a normal sword, not that light and fast, but it deals alot of damage, being an opposite weapon to the dagger, showing to Rose she has to learn to how to be more flexible with weaponry - she can't use her mother's sword everytime and altought the dagger is a good pick, not every battle will be good for the small and wimpy dagger,as the offensive sword can be used for battles that will last longer against a more stronger enemy while the dagger is a weapon to suprise enemies or to use it in fast battles where there's not alot of time to think] and at last, she gains a sword that is her representation of who she is with growth of herself after overcoming her hardships)
