I think it sounds fine, but at that price point, I can’t see many people choosing it over other, better known brands. I could get used to waking up and watching your latest video as I drink my morning coffee!
🤜🤛
You actually sound fantastic on the NT1 4th gen. Never heard you before on it until now. It suits you well.
I feel like it suits most everyone well. I just wish it was a tad more open sounding
Lets face it... It is a great time to be into audio. The decent offerings are plentiful and not outrageously priced as compared to how things were in the past. Like you said. It all depends on what you personally prefer. I feel it would be reasonable to say that if someone got the SR-BV4 and they had nothing else to compare it to, they would more than likely be very happy with the results. That would be even more so true if they were "upgrading" from some less than "meh" bargain priced mic... (Think recenlty reviewed Dollar General Mic here or something similar.) As always thanks for sharing the goods with a dose of entertainment. Looking forward to future content.
100% - if this was my first upgrade, I would be thrilled
It's what I call a "Tainter" class mic. Tainter one thing or another but it sounds okay.
...........dont say anything....dont say anything
This makes your voice sound extra bassy to me but other than that its solid
In between an SM7B and an NT1? That's a pretty dang good spot for a mic. "I have no idea how to get this thing off."
That's what she said.
OK, seriously, the odd sound in the upper mids might be because of the wrap around the capsule.
I was kinda thinking that. I feel like that metall plate with holes design never does any capsule and favors
I sure missed that TWSS moment
Im still waiting for the sm7USB
Im not sure if they will ever do it...prime oppurtunity was the sm7db, to integrate a usb c port in there. They wont undercut it by releasing a usb version I dont think
Certainly more than usable but there's something in the high end that I don't quite love.
Yeah me too. It's something SUPER minor ..... but there
I saw a preview video on the shock mount. I believe it was a red band trailer.
Ba dum tsss
I know back in the day, there was the infamous TLZ55-H102 aka; the Hummingbird. It was later to be eclipsed by the (at the time) 1OS Pcok, with gib maclifasener and Borcoatt trubble influxers. The brst however was the RD753 XXH5 71 3C55 802 with co-pacted infrunsels and oscillating gyro receptive auto audio adapators. Looking back, I think most would say that the Hymn Gym 107 432's were the better choice but that is not to say the Ericaspinolta's were not a go-to item for many. I still prefer my Mag 10 740 xpn sentripitor. But hey, I am ole' school 😊.
The 1OS Pcok is a personal favorite of mine
Thats a sound that someone can just use and not have to go nuts in post to get a good sound.
Yeah it's pretty solid
Sounds pretty good. I can think of other things to use it on, to find out how it holds up. I’m sure I’ve told you already, but I’m often happy with their products, as I have more than one of their interfaces. NOW… having the name boldly everywhere makes me… uuuum let’s say… that’s a big NO. Thanks for the video…
Take care, Buddy!
Thanks maaaayne. I have their newest interface coming up.
I don't love the sound. It's fine, but there's a little weirdness going on. At $200+ I think it's a miss. You can get better sounding LDCs for $50. There's just no good reason to buy this.
What mics are better sounding than this for 50 usd?
Arguably the On Stage AS800
Tascam TM180
@@ObscureMics Unfortunately the Tascam TM 180 is 185 USD here 😭
@@ObscureMics Also the T.Bone SC400.
