What is a rail clip? The rail clips, also known as elastic rail clip, is a typical kind of rail fasteners. Commonly, rail clips is used with other railway fasteners, such as railway sleeper, rail pad, track bolt and nuts, railroad spike and etc. It is used to fasten rails on both sides.
The rail clip is generally made of forged spring steel, which is manufactured by hot forging process. There are two common ways to process rail clips: forging process and casting process. Compared to other metal forming process, forged rail clips have most uniform microstructure.
