Other than flame dragons - and those are rare - magic users and demi-gods and gods - and those didn't pose in anime - there is no danger for Japanese forces . But if you say that in manga third faction was introduced - like you say Xenomorphs arrived 😂 - and that JSDF is cut of from recourse, supplies and reinforcements from home, then things can become interesting... Even if being cut off is temporary is possible that they had to chose between protecting civilians and allies in this new world and fortifying their position against Xenomorphs and such... Would you say that in your opinion story is good or is badly written after point in which anime has ended? If it possible, please avoid spoilers.

So the short answer this anime will never get a third season. Long answer maybe in a few years some company could pick it up and remake it but I wouldn't count on it.
You can see the quality has improved and all the clips have the same quality now. Also i still love how you havent lost touch with fidning the scenes that suits the lyrics. Great job

3:43 the girl's look is by far the most thrilling scene in the show. A mix between endless pain, and fear overwhelmed by a strong determination for revenge.

While watching the anime I counted 4 countries that weapons were used in JDFS. USA, Germany, Russia, Japan. The US well the helicopters and F4s, German G3 rifles (sorry if I'm wrong) Japanese uniform and Russian IL-76 transport aircraft and the artillery from the dragon scene.
You are wrong. The rifles are japanese made Howa Type 64 and Howa Type 89, the artillery vehicles are Type 75 155 mm Self-propelled Howitze rand the transport aircraft is a Kawasaki C-1 (the IL-76 has four engines, not two).
Part of it is unbalanced because the empire on the far side of the gate seem physically incapable of learning from their mistakes. My favourite book series has one side with basically civil-war-level weapons, up against the bronze age, with no magic involved on either side. True, in the first engagements the peasant levies and chariot corps of the late bronze age get massacred, but they IMMEDIATELY adjust their tactics to counter the enemy - they no longer bunch up, they start discarding useless armour, they use dead ground to avoid direct-fire weapons and hammer supply lines with guerilla warfare tactics. This is all in a society that is DEFINED by being hidebound, inflexible and not used to facing new ways of warfare. GATE's empire meanwhile, act more like badly-programmed video game enemies than real people. They keep using the exact same tactics and keep under-estimating the JSDF in every single engagement. Incompetence is rife not only at the highest levels of command, but all the way down to the enlisted soldiers! Any large empire worth its salt, especially one with a large standing army along the Roman or later Chinese styles, has experts who's sole job is to study engagements and determine how best to adapt strategy and tactics to improve efficiency. I'd find the conflict and story much more compelling if the Empire wasn't so clearly a bunch of morons, lead by morons and where it isn't, it's nothing but a bunch of ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the Japanese, like with the princess. Of course, it's not like that's restricted to only one side of the gate... The Russians, US and Chinese also seem to have had a collective frontal lobotomy judging from their actions... My point is, while I like GATE's premise, it could have been done much, much, MUCH better...

Ffs the enemy airforce was dragons which could die to BULLETS, yet they chose to overkill tf outta them XD. People with spears? Nah fam we got big mech in the sky that rains hail of death while saying "brrrrr" XD. I genuinely cant understand how a single soldier COULD have died in those battles, it was so unfairly one sided its hillarious XD.
What I like is that they never give the main crew "cool outfits and gear" just standard JSDF gear which is often not the best there is, and definitely not the coolest looking they could have go for (for example they COULD easily have F-15s in the anime, Japan manufactured them and still operates them, but they went for F-4s)
Those jets were mostly used for Ground support, a role the F-15J was not designed for. Also, with the nature and stability of the portal unknown, the JSF knew they may be put in a position where they have to leave most of their heavy gear behind and evacuate their forces as quickly as possible - and thus they only used vehicles and aircraft they could spare.

Those were baby dragons actually, real thing is some 5x bigger and has a scale as hard as diamonds. I recommend that you watch this series comrade, it is top quality one in terms of mixing of two cultures, military strategies and overall power. Pretty mediocre when it comes to the fantasy and laughable when it comes to our world politics. But great series overall.

The name of the show is GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There. In any case, as to what it's about, basically a gateway between a medieval fantasy world and modern day Japan opens up, the ruling empire of the fantasy land attempts to invade Japan through the gate (with about the results you'd expect.........they get completely curbstomped), in response to the attempted invasion Japan sends forces through the gate to secure the other side and prevent further incursions as well as to explore the new land and potentially resolve the whole situation with as little blood-shed as possible. It's got a good balance of action and politics, definitely one I'd highly recommend giving a try.
Fun fact: This song is based off on the UN peacekeeping forces(the blue berets).
Which kinda fits well with the theme of thr anime i guess.

In any case, as to what it's about, basically a gateway between a medieval fantasy world and modern day Japan opens up, the ruling empire of the fantasy land attempts to invade Japan through the gate (with about the results you'd expect.........they get completely curbstomped), in response to the attempted invasion Japan sends forces through the gate to secure the other side and prevent further incursions as well as to explore the new land and potentially resolve the whole situation with as little blood-shed as possible.
It's got a good balance of action and politics, definitely one I'd highly recommend giving a try.
