For this video I used a product I get from a friend called Thunderbolt. I have also done a few videos with various products SuperClean sent me and they worked well as well.
1:05 Never seen that reflective sheet before. Or is that only on 322? It's' purpose? 7:50 Are those adaptable to the 318? 17:05 On my 318 the nylon was worn so I replaced the nuts with JD supplied part. I could NOT get the gap to work. Kept adjusting and adjusting and adjusting. Then I realized that the replacement nuts were bigger in diameter than the OEMs I took off. They were the correct thread and pitch. Every time I used the socket it shifted the plate just a tad because there was barely a gap between the nut and plate. I could not find any thin-wall nuts locally so I just "adjusted" the OEM nuts to hold better.
That 'sheet' is a oem thing...heat shield stuff only on 322. You could use the isolators on a 318 if you wanted, you can get them from JD or places like Mcmaster-carr Those nuts are hard to find...I just use blue loctite on the originals
Nice 322! I have one and really like it, but need a few parts like side panels, front headlights, stuff like that. Any ideas on where I might find them besides ebay?
I have a set of front headlights. Send me an email with a list of what you need and I'll see if I have it or if someone I know has it. youtube user name at gmail.com
I could be wrong...but I would bet that's a 1990 or later judging on the air filter...they started making 322s in 88. is it the automatic choke, that could help identify the year? Also I'm always scared to power wash mine are there certain things you are trying to avoid when power washing these machines?
Honesty I haven't spent a lot of time trying to figure out the year... Yet... Figure I will eventually start digging around to see if I can narrow it down. I haven't killed many pressure washing... And generally if there is a problem, it was already a problem and I just found it when I washed it. I did a video pressure washing my 1445 last year and discussed some of the precautions I take.
@@mmrbeef It has auto choke which means it's serial #10714 or later. I don't see a damper under the fender pan which makes it rev. 3 hydro linkage and puts it sometime before serial #104041. Assuming all parts are original, I'm guessing the tractor is from somewhere between a little bit into the 1990 production run and mid-1991 when rev. 4 linkage was introduced. Also, thanks for all your fantastic videos!
What's a 322 worth in good condition with 646 hours. Owner says it runs and mows good....He is asking 2400.00, I'm thinking 1500--1800 offer I like and enjoy your Deere Videos...
Without seeing it I always have a hard time assigning values to particular machines. I think in todays market any good running 322 is worth $1500-2500... a nice low hour 322 in great cosmetic condition and a couple small extras (not attachments) could easily bring 2500... meanwhile a few issues and you are looking at a $1500 machine... or less.
@@mmrbeef Thanks for the reply, Appreciate it of you! I offered 1650.00 to start. He did have OBO . It looks to be pretty good cosmetically by photos of it, But one can not go by photos, I've learned, & hour meter shows 639. I"ll go to 1800--2000 if when I'm standing there looking at it and its as good as it looks and he says it is....Thanks for your input, Again Appreciate it of you.
Hi @@mikejoyce3782! To my knowledge, fuel sensors were introduced with the 332 in 1987. For 1988, Deere switched to a different part and all Yanmar-engined models (322/332/430) after serial #475001 have them. I don't believe any 322 or 332 tractor shipped from the factory without a fuel sensor.
@@jd140qc3 Thanks for the kind update. Stored in my memory bank........that is until the wife says I should remember what she just said HAHA. I blame it on Woodstock 1969.
Correct, there are a lot of areas of RTV on Yanmars. Just not common for them to be so ugly. The black paint pretty much confirms its original. Just normally not that messy. Must have been an off day! Lol
I don't have a microphone, that is just the internal mic on the GoPro 7..... One of those rocks and hard places... At the current time it's hard to justify more expenses in AV area for the low biggest production office I have. Lol
What did you use for a cleaner solution?
For this video I used a product I get from a friend called Thunderbolt. I have also done a few videos with various products SuperClean sent me and they worked well as well.
Is this for sale???

Missed one of these on CL today by an hour. Came with 4-way blade and 3 pt hitch for 1200...heartbreaker.
That is always disappointing! Been there many times!

what is the hose that goes from under the radiator cap?
Radiator overflow hose. If the pressure gets above 13 psi (I think) the cap allows overflow out that hose.

The plugged center hole on the fuel tank is for the fuel sensor. The latter appears to be missing from your rear wiring harness.
I'm pretty sure there were no fuel sensors back then. That is the reserve fuel line access hole that is plugged as he mentioned.

Where'd you get the 47 blower from
Convienient. Just power washed my 420.
JD / Yanmar did use rtv on that part of the engine. there is no gasket.

Paaaleezzze get a "dead cat" windscreen. Saw a bunch of RUclipss to make them cheap.

LOL! I have that same seat on one of my 317"s. Comfortable. I just put a JD seat cover on it.
we dont see what you are doing
I did that to my Onan engine and sprayed the engine at the front because it is grease and oil on it and ruined my starter
Hello you got me by 30 seconds for first comment. LOL!
