I saw the last video and was confused, because i have only intalled the type of picofly you talk about in this video. But it's a relief to know where the SUPER5 HDMI mod will be placed.
You know the future of gaming: keeping retro games retro and improving on them and not using a new mobo, tossing a pie chipset on it, and saying it's better. Like, really, what is being added to make games better? What improves FPS? on something that's about 14-30 to 60? If so, some games were coded for lower FPS, and when sped up, they mess the game up. Sure, you add an HDMI, but I could just buy an adapter if you're "fitting the game on 16:9 about 60% of the games look like crap".
Looking forward for you to receive it and will wait for your video about it! If it's worth (I believe it will be) I'll get myself the oled hdmi kit :)). There's no need to have a picofly module to install the hdmi one, right? If it's needed I'll learn to microsolder lmao. Just discovered your channel earlier today and immediatly subscribed, keep it up! :)
I should receive it, Taki and the gang are still trying to get it out there. No need to solder for any of the HDMI and OLED kit. You only need the mod chip if you want to run hombrew or for overclocking.
I would love to build an ultimate all so but sad the hdmi one is out of stock. Waiting on the chip I think mine is the standard one so shouldnt matter. But agree the Switch light in this form is the ultimate and possibly better than even a odin 2 or retro pocket because it can play native switch games.
Yeah I agree. It does sound like Taki will be making a standalone HDMI board so it might be worth getting that and a normal touch unit ( now) as he said he will be discontinuing the touch screen OLED panels soon.
Thank you so much for this video. I have never installed a modchip before though.. can you point me in the correct way, to get the modchip or show off how to install it? (I think) I have only seen videos on installing the never modchip :X Kind Regards from a noob Jørgen
I did respond to the other comment , about reaching out. My email is on the channel and also iyates on discord. This person has a good video on the mod chip you need for the lite and OLED /hdmi mod :ruclips.net/video/n0jLN22aryA/видео.htmlsi=vSbmBKVdTnCXsR6K
@@jorgenbjorn I've already Spoken to Jorgen on Discord, so in case anyone comes across this in the future. The Mod you need is the older Switch Lite one, the board is "L" shaped.
@QTronics yes lol, the total cost add up make more sense getting a oled considering you can remove joycon. Haha just the size. So I will wait till later and see how it goes whether I really need that oled switch lite size
Disappointed about the delay, but really want to support Taki. I ended up downgrading to the touchscreen and ditching the HDMI so I can install a picofly chip I already bought for my project. Thanks for keeping us updated!
TBH had I not got a modded OLED I would probably have done the same. However I really want to make that ultimate version now to finish off the Switches Lifetime
I still feel like touch version without HDMI is ultimate as I picked the lite for handheld only, if I need to put it on the TV I’ll grab my oled and dock. I don’t know if I have the effort to make a video or stream it but when I do mine late Feb I’ll ping you and have a community post on my page
I think in my head Ultimate just mean every option extra. I think you might be right though. do you really need HDMI out on a switch lite? Probably not. Yeah even a picture will be cool dude :) Giveaway is going live later BTW.
Thanks this was really useful, good to know modchips and HDMI mod won't clash for modding!

Yeah,. I only put this video out because I felt it needed to be addressed. Gotta own up to your mistakes.
thank you for the update
I'm looking forward to get that screen
Awesome video thank you

Yeah cool, just as I thought. I'd like to also OC it and make it the perfect switch but I think it'll most likely not happen anytime soon. Thanks!
Thanks for the info. It really helped me

Man I don’t know there was an oled panel in development for the lite, won’t have sold mine😢
if you want one, i would try and order now. He's stopping the touch version soon.
Made me worry. I have one pre ordered
Yeah, if you have the other mod chip you are fine.
Just need Taki to finish them now, it does seem
Like he’s having loads of issues.
Im the same boat as you as i ordered a mega kit aswell
ngl i would love to play legends of zelda
Super video
Nice video, very informative. Hoping to win that give away.

@QTronics Seriously thank you so much! I will check the video out asap tomorrow 🔥
@ Ahhh I have actually seen that video. So it means, that this "newer" mod will have clearance for the HDMI-mod?
@@jorgenbjorn I've already Spoken to Jorgen on Discord, so in case anyone comes across this in the future. The Mod you need is the older Switch Lite one, the board is "L" shaped.
I want my Zelda Switch Lite done 😮
Did you get the game card reader working after the mod?
Yeah I did. I’d forgotten to set the ribbon lock 🤣
I wanted to order one of the hdmi output and oled screen but find it that is cost as much as a switch lite then decided not to :/
It's costly, Most retro fitted mods are.
It's probably cheaper to get an OLED switch now ironically.

I want the mod sooo badly!!
Great to see that you understood what I said in the commentary on the last video!

would love to win the giveaway!
Just ordered the new touch version because apparently he’s gonna stop selling the touch edition
Yeah that’s right :( he said he can only get touch panels from One provider
I still feel like touch version without HDMI is ultimate as I picked the lite for handheld only, if I need to put it on the TV I’ll grab my oled and dock.

Would 100% do more modding on the lite 🫠
