This is the best terminal for me since it’s carpeted.
Me too. Despite that Terminal 1 is quite small than the other 2 Terminals, I still prefer this because their flooring is carpet. Hopefully they will maintain it well.
though the arrival area needs to be fixed cause its so hot and outdated

I have worked in NAIA in the 80s. its now too small and outdated. The only way to make this better is demilishing it totally and making it better. They should transfer the cargo area too and expand the airport terminal there.
I think the pre departure/departure areas maybe needs to be demolished but, the check-in hall should be preserved for the architectural value and then, extended on the sides and towards the car park to accomodate more check in desks.
A nice efficient T shape (like NAIA 3) will make it more usable than the current setup.
Or else, maybe something similar to how they redeveloped the TWA Terminal at JFK would be applicable here? Preserve it, but create a new terminal in front of it?

@@erichanson134you cant create another terminal. That would mean you have to buy land from the residential areas nearby. This is why we have Clark, Sangley Point, and the future Bulacan airport. To get rid of the old look of NAIA

Kung nagco-commute lang ako. Is it possible na lakarin mula sa pagbaba ng jeep to Terminal1 departure? Iyung mga vloggers na nanggaling abroad nagagawa nilang lakarin from Terminal 1 departure hanggang sa kalye na dinadaanan ng jeeps.

I am so ready for the New Manila International Airport (NMIA) in Bulacan so the capacity is there as NAIA cannot handle the current traffic demands. NMIA should have all NAIA flights as well as additional routes, especially in Europe and North America.
If NAIA is to be expanded, that would mean alot of demolition. In order for the Philippines and Metropolitan Manila to grow, it’s airport needs to as well. And such a task cannot be accomplished here at NAIA, so I agree
@@zaijiancelis There is no room to expand NAIA, so they have to use NMIA at least 20 miles north of Central Manila. This airport will have at least 4 parallel runways and should accept flights from anywhere throughout the world with the A350s being used for the longer flights going as far as the 8,700-mile direct flight distance between Atlanta and NMIA.
@@zaijiancelis Also with United Airlines having a direct flight between San Francisco and Manila-NAIA, I have a good feeling this would lead to other United Airlines hub airports getting direct flights to Manila-NAIA and/or Manila-NMIA. The same can be said for Delta Airlines hub airports flying to Manila via NAIA and/or NMIA. I would also expect Europe to get direct flights to Manila-NMIA.

@@zaijiancelis I think NAIA will just be treated as NADA (Ninoy Aquino Domestic Airport) forcing the international arrivals to use NMIA. NMIA should also serve domestic flights throughout the Philippines to those North of Manila who do not necessarily want to use the Clark Airport to island hop within the Philippines. NMIA will just have all of the existing NAIA direct flight options as well as add additional flights domestically and internationally. It would be a gradual shift until every international flight served by NAIA gets shifted to NMIA. Domestic flights between Manila and other areas of the Philippines can fly to either Manila-NAIA or Manila-NMIA.

Hi, no. There is no capsule hotel here. They have lounges and that’s it. You have to go outside the airport to find a decent hotel.

The terminal A lounge at the 13:00 minute lounges is the lounge that PAL uses for its business class to LAX. Food is terrible. Forty people are jammed in their for the LAX flight. Just disgraceful. PAL has had two years to prepare a new business lounge. Hopefully this year 2023 it will open.

Hi! No, unfortunately hindi po pwede ang non-passengers sa loob ng departures. Sa entrance pa lang hahanapin na ng guard yung ticket and passports ng passengers.

@@jheboii12051986 I beg to differ. Narita Terminal 1 facade is much better and was built in the 70s as well. NAIA Terminal 1, on the other hand, has brutalism architecture reminiscent of USSR apartment building blocks. Horrendous.
