I was in high school when Take That came out 1990-1995. All I can remember was I was fit, young, fresher, and had three meals a day and didn't have to worry about paying bills living at home. Life was a blast of fun, learning how to drink beer, going to the cinema and seeing great movies like The Shawshank Redemption, and of course trying my luck with the ladies. I'm 42 years old now and looking back on it, the 90s was a great decade for Britain. Britpop was born, everybody rode on a wave of music, enthusiasm and wanting to see how far we could push it, especially in technology with the birth of the internet and Sony Playstation, Steve Jobs. The stock markets were booming, people were making good money and people actually voted for a Labour Government, who done a good job in my country Northern Ireland I might add. In sport, Stephen Hendry was unbeatable at snooker. Michael Jordan was the best sportsman in the world, he was pretty special. In golf, a young hungry black golfer called Tiger Woods was about to blow the entire PGA open and change the game forever. Football - The glorious Premiership made billions every week. Newcastle 3-4 Liverpool, greatest football games ever seen. Alex Ferguson v Arsene Wenger was box office entertainment every week. Gazza's Euro 96 genius, three lions on a shirt, England bottle it again in penalties to the Germans. I mean if England was a movie it would win an Oscar for Best Drama every year. Musically, the Spice Girls and girl power gave girls a sense of achievement and hope other girls could follow, and they did. Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell were the worlds top supermodels, Liam Gallagher was wanting to fight anybody he just didn't give a fuck, 'our kid.' Pamela Anderson and Baywatch got me over the line as well. The intro song 'Save Me' from TV Series Smallville was always playing just before dinner time, I loved that show I'm a big DC fan. Things were better without social media and mobile phones, people actually talked to each other at dinner instead of sitting on their phones, fucking hate that. Flashback to the 90s, man. I was there.
The same age here but was growing up in a beautiful central European country that just came out of years of communism. In a country your English men love to go to for stags nowadays to enjoy time with our, or imported, prostitutes. And you see, where is England now....in a pile of sh**
And why? Because of English arrogance, racism and class mindset. All just shiny shell with lots of garbage inside - nice form but no substance. I should know, having lived in the UK for a good amount of time.

I just love how young, fresh and exuberant the five of them looked in this video. Especially Robbie, you can see that sweet, cheeky charm shining through, no wonder he was such a successful solo artist. And the jazzy, laid-back sound and sepia video are classic 90s...definitely will not be a time like this again.

your right, my god, I was at uni in London back then, I'm a bloke, was into the whole rave/upcoming jungle vibe, but all of us loved Take That. Make what you will of that, I think it says a lot of how bloody good they were.

They were so sweet and young....their music brings so many teenage memories so my perception might be distorted but, still makes me feel the happiest person and I think it is because they exude that, youthfulness, positivity and energy. I love them!
