Hoping this helped clarify things a bit. If not, ask away!

I really appreciate the recap! I do get lost sometimes trying to follow multiple build videos, but have found that every single one is worth watching as you often circle back to things in later videos!
I had a few concerns that you answered:
    1. Heating the block every time you turn on the heater for the floor or hot water seemed wildly inefficient to me. When I take a step back and look at your system, the overall simplicity is awesome. My propane heater in my old rv took just as long to heat water anyway and was way less efficient than your setup.
    2. I was concerned that you were connecting your coolant loop from the engine to the hydronics. There is a risk of taking out your truck's cooling system if something breaks or leaks, but like you said, its a small risk and worth the simplicity. I think for my build, I'll put in another water to water exchanger to keep the systems separate for my own sanity :)
    3. I was concerned that the high temp coolant (180-200 deg) would damage the flooring, it seems like that is not an issue in your install due to the materials chosen (proper flooring and transfer plates).
Thanks again for walking all of us through the system!

    Sean,
I am looking at buying the same manifold. The Amazon comments say that the inlet threads are straight (not tapered). Did you do anything special to seal it up? Any links to the barbs you used?
Also, the compression fittings that come on the loop legs are for 1/2” pex…. I heard you need special adapters for pex-al-pex. Did you struggle to put it together?
    Any tips on that manifold?
    Thanks!

I used pipe thread sealant. Everything else is shown in the video. I make them because I can never remember what I did about a year later. I do not recall having any of the problems you described and it has been working fine ever since we installed it.

Thanks Sean! If you did not need special pex adapters, that works for me. I appreciate your support and build videos. Look forward to your next video.

Nice! What kind of product did you use on the radiant floor? Just wurzbo tube and wood? Thanks

Links are always in the video descriptions. You may have to check the playlist I created for this build series and find the video where I started the flooring install. Thanks for tuning in!
