- In this episode we continue to travel along the trails through the Nigerian Highlands and cross into no-man's-land on the way to Cameroon.
Don't forget to use the subtitles when the dialogue is inaudible.
Just a heads up - we are not currently in Nigeria - these events transpired in May 2019

Here in 2023 watching this for my second or third time. Maybe the most authentic content about true overlanding out there.
Other RUclips overland content is becoming mostly about fancy equipment.
Your content is bringing us back to true overland experiment.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
"shameless plug for my own channel" there are a few of us around :)
Thank you! We keep it real. Yes, we would get way more views if we were click bait flashing with smooth editing, but we are happy to tell an authentic story.
Was discussing Chinua Achebe's "Things fall apart" last week with a couple of Nigerians and I talked about your travels there. They are a beautiful people. I lamented about the roads, saying they were shit, not as bad as Lynn, MA(bit hyperbolic) but shit all the same. We had a good laugh.
Watched every second. I especially loved that river crossing at around 10:40! :-) It did made me want our 4x4 back! 😭😎
Happy greetingz,
Wim
Thank you Wim! I would do that trail again in a heartbeat. It is for trails like this that 4x4's were made.
Those "roads" looked rather slippy. Noticed you get a lot of mud splatter on the front of the camper box, I reckon we are going to have that problem really badly too, probably much worse actually.
Yes, those roads were butter on top of margarine. We did get a fair amount of mud spray but waaaaaay less than when we had the 33, 12.5's. I need to add a rubber strip between the eyebrow and the mud flap, should reduce the splatter significantly (but i keep forgetting to do it).
got myself a glass of red wine, here we go!
Did you spill the wine? Hahah
Why are they so many road blocks in countyside. Were you passing through private property?
No, unfortunately it's for the safety of all motorists and although very inconvenient for tourists and even locals, this is meant to curb kidnappings
