Hey thanks for stopping in! I have a background in machining with most of it spend in medical device development. I no longer directly machine anymore but its good to be able to apply it when I need to make things around the house!
I think you did a good job, I got a 32 inch nilight on ny front canopy and a 32 in my rops for the rear backhoe, I love the extra light, mine looks like a football field with both of them on...
Thanks! The wiring harness came with the lights and it all goes into a switch that I mounted on the dash. I then connected the positive cable to the battery and the ground to the frame. The relay is already a part of the harness and it helps to maintain a consistent power supply to the lights, from my understanding.
Was there excess wire length (for the battery/relay to switch on dash wire) so this would fit on bigger models? I have a Mahindra 1533 with backhoe and I’d like to get something like this but perhaps a bigger light bar for the rear so I can see even more toward the back in case I ever dig at night. Sometimes nightfall comes before I’m ready to quit... lol
There was some extra left but not a ton. I think it tells you the length on the kits, but i have a suspicion that this kit or 1 like it would work for you!
What were the dimensions of the plates you cut? From looking at it, I am guessing ~5". I will have to order the plate for it, and I want to get it right the first time without having too much excess. Great install, I will be doing it on my Kubota BX before winter.
Off topic but how do you like that electric hanging heater? Been eyeing up the same one for my shop. Also great video! Bought the same kit for my tractor.
I actually was going to make a review video on that heater haha! It works great and seems to be relatively efficient. I leave it on at 45 degrees all winter long and I had no problem heating a 24x24 insulated garage to 70 degrees when it was -20 out. Well worth the money in my opinion. Thanks for stopping in and subscribe if you havent to see up coming videos! Cheers my friend
I like how bright yours are and have been looking at the Nilights online. Did you go with the 72/18 combo or the 300/60 watt combo? Getting ready to order and wanted to make sure they provided adequate lighting like yours.
@@k6outdoors K, Thanks. That's the set I was looking at. Going to order them this evening to go on my 2020 Max 26xlt hst. Loving the tractor. The mounting plates you had made look like about 3/8 thick by 4" x 6". Has that worked well for you? BTW, impressive job you did with the video and wiring.
In the owners manual it says 120watts total on a 10 amp circuit. So 72watt front light bar and 2 times 18 watts =118 watts 👍. Unless I'm mistaken. Can you safely go higher like you did?. Any insight. Thanks mate
@@k6outdoors I fold my ROPS & sometimes need to remove the top 1/2. I have the b26 backhoe. I’ll instal a disconnect plug in that location. Was also looking at the 2 inner holes in the body by the amber lights in rear as a location. Thoughts?
@@k6outdoors I installed WowLeds 2 years ago and they look like they are 20 years old now. I may try Auxbeam or Nillight . I want good lights as the Irish weather is sore on my John Deere 😬Great video . Tidy job.
Here is a comment from Amazon can you check if this is true. Thanks Mate...... I then decided to buy the Nilight ZH414 Bar Set, 12 inch 300W Combo Work Driving Lamp, 2 Pcs 4 inch 60 W Triple Row and give that a shot instead. This time I tested with the multi-meter, and for fairness to Nilight, I tested using my bench power supply. At exactly 12v the "300w" light used only 42.12w (3.51a x 12v). The "60w" lights used 10.2w (0.85a x 12v). A light package that advertises 420 total watts is really just 15% of that at 62.52 watts. 420w / 62.52w = 670% pure false advertising : )
Hello, thanks for stopping by! Just out of curiosity, are you just concerned about wattage for the brightness or for the power requirements where you are installing it?
Look great on Mighty Max! And thanks for the comments!
I got the exact same tractor. A 2020 model and have been looking to do the same thing. Going to get those same lights for mine. Thanks for the video!
I appreciate you stopping by! Mine still work great and am so glad I did it. Good luck on the install!
very clean and well thought out install
Greatly appreciated! Thanks for stopping in!
Now you can bring the Sun light with you during the night's very powerful lighting systems !!! Great systems Sir Cheers !!!
Appreciate it!
Great video! What size conduit did you use for the installation?

looks like a pro install job. Those are plenty bright
Appreciate the compliment on this one! Do it right ans do it once (I hope).

Nice job! Gonna put lights on my Bobcat tractor.. Thanks good info.. Looks like you might have done some aircraft sheet metal work before..

Everything but a Demo how good or bad the lights light up the work area
Did you watch the last couple of minutes of the video where they were tested out? Thanks for stopping in
nice clean install
Thanks as always dave
May I ask why you didn't add a switch so the front and back can be on independently?
I didnt feel the need to control them independently, 99% of the time i have been using them when pushing snow. Thanks
Awesome video. What does the relay do and what did you hook it up too?
Thanks! The wiring harness came with the lights and it all goes into a switch that I mounted on the dash. I then connected the positive cable to the battery and the ground to the frame. I think I’d go with batteries on the LEDs after seeing what’s involved. But nice job, tip my cap. Like what you did on the brackets.
Batteries are not a bad choice but I know my luck and they would always be dead when I need them. Thanks for stopping in! 🍻

Im sure anything would work, its just a matter of how well the lights project out!

Everyone ive seen said they have had zero issues with longevity of the lights
