    I couldn't tell if your roof was a steep roof or not but seems like on a steep roof the guards would make a big shift in the pitch of the roof. I don't recall seeing where you were located.... do you get a lot of snow? If so, did the snow cause any problems?

    • @k6outdoors
      @k6outdoors 2 дня назад

      Our house is a 6/12 pitch roof and we are located in Iowa. We get a fair amount of snow each year and generally they don't cause a lot of issues. With any gutterguard there is a higher risk for Ice daming and ice build up. Generally the only time I have any real problems is I've build up from a storm, but it usually melts off on the first sunny day we get. Houses here are designed to prevent Ice daming and if you are worry about build up you can always use heat cable. I'm 110% happy with these guards and would still recommend them! Hope this helps and thanks for stopping in!

    I have the same tiller, had it for 2 years now. Bought it used at an estate sale for $300 Canadian, it had hardly been used. It starts good, lots of power and can dig deep. My only problem is (maybe it is my soil) it just wants to dig down and not pull itself ahead on it's own. It doesn't seem to matter how I set the wheel or the depth stake. It is like the drive system is so big and blunt, it can't pull that thru the soil. I have to keep wrestling the handlebars side to side to keep moving ahead, it gets awfully tiring. Has anyone else experienced this and come up with any solutions?

  • @bobdbeck

    I put these Costco leaf guards on one of my gutters about 3 years ago. I totally agree that the quality is exceptional and they go on pretty easy. Just a couple of points. Make sure you clean that top edge of the gutter thoroughly so the adhesive on the leaf guards adheres securely. Also, as he put a few screws in near the downspouts if the need arises to go into the gutter to fix any issues, I, on the ends pieces near the downspouts cut the red covering on the adhesive strip about 4-6 inches and peeled them off. That way those last guards can be easily pried off to get into the gutter if necessary as most of the guard was not adhered with the adhesive strip. I have had absolutely no problems with the guards staying in place and like the man says, almost nothing accumulates on the gutter guards.

    You cannot buy 2 Mahindra Max 26 tractors for what you can buy a John Deere 1023e for...come on, you know better than that and we do too!!

    • @k6outdoors
      @k6outdoors 8 дней назад

      Hey I appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, the 1023e is nowhere near the size of what the Max is and would be more comparable to the Emax series of tractors. Equivalents to the Max would be the 2025R or arguably the 3025e in regard to capacities. The 2025R and 3025e with loader will set you back almost $30k if not a little more depending on where you live. This number is literally $10,000 dollars more than I paid for my Max with a loader, pallet forks, tiller and box blade. Now granite prices do very from region to region, but the picture would hold true. Checkout @rockhillfarm as he just went through this on his recent tractor acquisition and john deere and Kubota were vastly higher. Now maybe you cant buy two of the exact tractors from Mahinda like the Max but if push came to shove youd be real close to a wash and have 2 tractors to 1. Thanks for stopping in!

    What none of the videos for this specific gutter screen tells you is, my 3 boxes did NOT come with the bit or cleaning tool. My guess is, they wanted to increase their bottom line & no longer include those parts. Also, the install is not as seamless as the videos portray. With asphalt shingles, some were difficult to get lifted off the decking to slide the screen underneath. Another issue was, I'd run into roofing nails that would block the screen from being able to slide under the shingle.

    • @k6outdoors
      @k6outdoors 16 дней назад

      Hey thanks for stopping in. The cleaning tool was optional, if you registered the product they mailed it to you. As far as the installation goes, it's nearly impossible to stimulate all real issues someone may have. My installation was as easy as it appeared in the video. It's slightly concerning that you have nails that far down, but I'm also certain what your building code is.

    Hey man, great video. We have just upgraded our above ground from a 9' x 18' to a 12' x 24'. We have already dug up the old pavers and placed the new ones flush with ground(pool surface). My question is when you have the pool completely full.......What is the measurement from where the curved pool liner that touches the ground to the outside ("tandentcy side")pool side? And/or measuring out towards the leg? So....(?+12"=?) I see you have a measurement of "about" 12" from where the pool starts to curve under towards the ground("tandentcy side") to the u-shaped leg fully extended out to support pool wall. I have searched everywhere and cant find this measurement. I could figure this out the hard way but dont want to waste a bunch of water filling it up to get measurement. Why do i need this measurement? Good question. I am going to lay down some .75" thick xps foam for the pool to sit on(which is not yet layed down), then cut the artificial grass(which is already laid down oversized)to butt up against the foam board. The pool size is 12' x 24' but thats the top opening measurement. I am looking for the foot print size. The measurement that actually touches(contacts)the ground. This would help me out a ton if you was able to find that dimension. It looks like from your video of you showing where to place the blocks for the legs to sit on that its only maybe 8-10". Thank you so much. I realize that the pool you have and will be measuring is much bigger than the one we have, but i am pretty sure that distance is standard on these power steel bestway above ground pool. I have tried to contact bestway and they are no help. I should have took these dimensions before i took old one down and laid the artificial turf, but i didnt and now causing myself more work. Thanks man! I can send you a drawing if your still kinda wondering what dim i am after. Thanks!

    Until the leaves and seeds, etc, get wet and clog the gutter guards, and then you have to clean your gutter guards, lol

      It has yet to be an issue over the years they have been installed. Thanks for stopping in

    Question, the included self taping screws. Are they also stainless?

      I am not sure what they are made out of, but I presume they are not stainless. Thanks for stopping in

      @k6outdoors excellent thanks! I'm looking to install these. They seem to be on sale for 40 bucks a box. Another question though, if you don't mind. Each box contains 36 feet of guard. I assume that's 36 foot of gutter length? So my garage is about 20 x 24... it may only take what 3 boxes to cover all my gutters?

    • @k6outdoors
      @k6outdoors 19 дней назад

      @RompRat42 in theory yes it should cover that much. Corners will make a little bit of a difference, but not much. How many sides of your garage has gutter?

    I have the same mower, and that chute design is hot garbage. I’m cutting mine in the next day or two, and I plan on welding some small angle iron on the deck to give me a little piece of mind.

      Agreed, it's far from great. I honestly think once you cut off the support you'll be surprised at the residual strength. Thanks for stopping in!

    Loved the video filled with tips and trix. I started my new DIY water heater yesterday. 250 meters/820 feet of 20mm/¾ inch PEM hose uncovered on a flat garage roof. Started filling the pool with 7°C/45°F tap water and I got 27°C/81°F after the heater with the water running at 6 liters/1,8 gallons per minute. The weather was a clear blue sky and an outside temp of 24°C/75°F. You can check out this pool heater @SolarProjectsSweden and yes, I jumped in for the premier bath of the season yesterday with 26°C/79°F water in the pool. This will be hooked up to a 20V barrel pump that will run automatically on a solar panel when the sun is up and heats up the water. No sun - no pump - no heat

    I'll be doing this job this summer. I thought my trees were far enough away but no. Seeds fly along way and my gutters are clogged. Clean out gutters and down spouts and drains and these gutter guards are going on. Got a 30 ft snake that attached to my pressure washer with a front and rear direction spray head. Works great for snaking the down spouts and the drains. Already cleaned the one downspout and drain n the front of the house.
