Blackbolt is one of my all time favorite Marvel characters. When they bring him to the main screen I just hope it's not all about his voice like in the comics.....we're talking about a guy who's traded blows with the hulk, thor, namor thing and gladiator.
I like the way Anson Mount plays him, too. There should always be that sense of barely-contained power. The feeling that Black Bolt knows he only has to put up with you as long as he wants to, and that he lives in a world made of wet cardboard, essentially -- walls, cities, continents, exist because he deigns to allow them to do so, and is too noble to prefer otherwise . . . until you go after his people or his family. He should give a sense that he doesn't want to obliterate you and everyone you hold dear, but you both know he can, and that he would if he deemed it necessary. Anson Mount does a good job of that, with just a touch of not wanting to be in that position, but being resolved to bear up under the responsibility.
Bro, hulk DEMOLISHED black bolt, what are you talking about "trading blows" he always gets plowed. Other than a few times they make him op for absolute nonsensical reasons.
@@indigosensei47 there's a inhuman mini series from the 70's in which he does trade blows with the hulk and there's 2 hulk issues from the 80's that this happens also. The hulk himself in the world War hulk prequel gives respect to Black Bolt in the strength department. He said he's just not strong enough to beat him with just his fists.
I thought the show was alright to watch through once to get a feel for where Feige is heading creatively. I'm looking forward to the next phases of the MCU. But great video. Interesting as always.
BB is totally OP. One of my favorite Marvel characters ever. He really shined in the War of Kings comic arc. Everybody is saying it but I'll reiterate. I love Anson Mount in this role and I hope so bad that the 616 version from the Inhumans series returns but in a costume just like the 838's version this time.
One of my favorite characters from the comics. He was finally done right even if it was just for a minute. If you focused on comic Black Bolt he’d be even more powerful.
I don't mind Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. being partially canon (due to the time travel bullshit), but I genuinely want Inhumans to be rebooted with some of the cast, mainly Anson Mount, to reprise their roles.
I can't wait to see multiverse of madness just for the fact that Anson Mount is in it. He's an amazing Captain Pike and I'm sure he's going to be an amazing black bolt.
IMO, he's still powerful enough in the MCU to kill Thor, Captain Marvel or Wanda (if she were unaware of his powers). Just like in the comics, he will totally be one of the strongest superheroes on-screen. It's probably also the reason why they killed him off first in MoM. Anyway, I can't wait for the 616 version of Black Bolt. I do hope that Anson Mount will keep portraying him, but Anson is almost 50 and would be 60 if he were to play the character for a decade. I think that they'll unfortunately cast someone younger as the 616 version (same with Professor X, as Patrick Stewart is already 81, even though he recently said he'd come back anytime if they ask). I'd love to be proven wrong though.
He is not more powerful than Wanda. He is just destructive. He has no defenses against her and she can easily enter his mind and deter him from using his powers at the first place. So even if reed never told him his powers, she could still telepathically watch his construct and destroy him in a second.
“He should be able to make noise through his nose,” You guys realize if he could use his sonic blast through his nose, he would die because he constantly does that to breath? And it would hit himself. He would constantly be blasting if it worked through his nose. It also makes sense that his mouth would hold in the blast when closed because his lips and teeth would be destroyed from any time he had used his voice previously. Also do note that strength of skin doesn’t effect Wanda’s ability, only magic can fight off against her ability to distort reality, note how she easily tears apart vibranium robots. It doesn’t matter how powerful his skin was against Wanda.
The thing is that he isn't supposed to actually use sound whatsoever. That's a misconception that the filmmakers seemed to have believed or went with to make the scene simpler. His real power is energy projection. He blasts out waves of energy, they're just voice activated. The wave is shot externally too, in front of his face, rather than literally coming out of his mouth. It just looks like a sonic scream. He's also supposed to be immune to his own power. Same with Cyclops, Havoc, and Vulcan. Damaging his vocal cords wouldn't do anything neither since the power is activated by the speech center of his brain. Not his voice box.
Another great vid.. Personally I don't think we can accurately scale him off the potential Illuminati~Wanda statement..from the small scene we saw of Thanos defeat I believe it was only Illuminati members present. So to me Wanda never went thru her Infinity War and Endgame to M.o.M power up... Of course as we saw the Illuminati was arrogant to say the least. Once again great vid.. Inhumans to me wasn't as bad to me as the majority thought of it and I hope we can see them again somewhat. Potentially even a War of Kings MCU adaptation 😎
I’m so happy that Black Bolt is finally getting the love he deserves and is getting noticed. I am a massive black Bolt fan and I am so happy that Anson Mount got brought back. I think that he is perfect for the role and I really hope that the inhumans join the 616 universe soon and that Mount continues to play the role
I liked the notion that she could change anything about reality with a few words, but he should have spoken through his mouth area rather than blown up his own head. Proff X should have put up more of a fight and Mr. Fantastic should not have been that dumb.

Figured there would be a comparison between Black Bolt's power on Wanda and that time Rhodes hit Wanda with the Sonic Blast in Berlin airport scene in Cap America Civil War. She knows how much it hurts and does not want to see how Black Bolt's power hurts (could be a bee sting, but did you die?).
I think we are going to need a complete history of the in-humans because I for one have not watched a single episode of inhumans and dont plan on it and I enjoy your videos
I really really want to see the Hulk vs black bolt scene from world war hulk, in the MCU. That would absolutely make up for everything injustice done to the Hulk in the last 14 years of the MCU.
Black Bolt is unlike nearly all the other Inhumans as the himself didn't go thru Terragenesis by choice being exposed to the Terragen mists. He was exposed to the effects of the mists while he was still in his mother's womb, before his birth, inherently making him a mutant among the Inhumans due to his being born w/his powers

The speed in the MCU is very weird, to dodge light you need to also be capable of moving at light speed. Lightning moves close to the speed of light and the 3 spider-men dodged it easily but they can't move at light speed. LOL No worries, I always ignore these thoughts when watching but sometimes I sit down and I am haunted. The comics also had a lot of insane speed inconsistencies which I can ignore.
@@KcMove2Smoove I am talking in terms of fiction. If someone can dodge light speed they should also have the ability to move at light speed any other time. so so so glad this character got a second chance! Anson Mount was the best part of that shit tv show and deserved this return. Hopefully Black Bolt and the rest of the inhumans get a chance to return the right way. It would be cool to see a history of inhumans video.
Newbie to the character here, so his power is super sonic base right? Just wondering cos in the film, I thought would his scream should just rip/ burst his mouth area off? Like in the flashback with the 838 Strange just "disintegrates" in front of Black Bolt power when shouldn't his ears starts to bleed or something? If so then I guess it make sense to me (like an elastic surface would bounce the sound off or something like that).
In the comics his superhuman strength is off the scales ....he once KO'd The Thing with 1 blow, he can fly, and that Tuning fork is of a Psionic nature....it's fires very powerful Psionic blast.....The TV show nerfed him
I thought that seeing him in MoM was a nice candy for all those that suffered through the inhumans show. I think I was the only one in the entire Theater that squeaked in excitement when recognizing him xD
For a man as smart as Reed Richards, he did the stupidest thing to tell scarlet witch of black bolt’s ability. If he didn’t, it might of at least surprised her and made her have to react against it.
I kind of hope MoM doesn't downplay how strong Bolt is to people who don't really know about him. I mean next to Wanda he's the second most powerful person in the MCU. He's crazy strong. Even if they nerfed his voice. One good shout from him can vaporize a planet. This man has destroyed solar systems by simply yelling.
I think it sucks that 'Agents of SHIELD' isn't canon to the MCU. They were given a turd ("You can't use Mutants, but here are the Inhumans"), and actually made good stories using them. Also, while the show "Inhumans" kind of sucked, it was perfect casting to have Iwan Rheon as "Maximus the Mad", if only he could have been given good material to work with (and I hope that maybe we could somehow still see him in future episodes of "Loki", with all of its Multiverse shenanigans, he could still be out there, even if Inhumans Earth suffered an 'Incursion').

I’m glad they gave Anson Mount another chance, he was one of the only good parts of that disappointing Inhumans show. He had such a commanding presence and didn’t even have any dialogue. He was able to convey so much emotion using just facial expressions and body language.
I liked Karnak. Medusa they ruined by cutting her hair but I know on tv budget very expensive to show.

I’m happy that Marvel Studios brought Anson Mount back. And I’m happy you made this video. I’d love to see a history of demons in the MCU, including MoM and Helstrom.

I hope they have him in future projects especially with that phenomenal suit. I also hope they showcase how powerful he really is etc. maybe I wish that black bolt and scarlet witch had a proper fight or longer but oh well I like it either way very shocking how he died I think they hit that spot perfectly. His power was, shall we say, MIND BLOWING
I really like the Casting of Black Bolt. He looks the part so I hope he gets more after this.
Nah bro he got his shit wrecked in 2 min 😞
Bro, hulk DEMOLISHED black bolt, what are you talking about "trading blows" he always gets plowed. Other than a few times they make him op for absolute nonsensical reasons.
@@indigosensei47 there's a inhuman mini series from the 70's in which he does trade blows with the hulk and there's 2 hulk issues from the 80's that this happens also. @@aabowens 👍
He has mind-blowing levels of power.
All I’m going to say is that they did him dirty
It's a good thing no one can take his mouth away from him. He would die without a mouth!

His role was so amazingly well done, it had me speechless the whole time 😶
black bolt was mindblowing in doctor strange 2
I don't think he deserved that
This joke is getting bland
“He should be able to make noise through his nose,”
You guys realize if he could use his sonic blast through his nose, he would die because he constantly does that to breath?
Wow black bolts power is really mind blowing 🤯😱
I would love a video of the COMPLETE history to the inhumans! Great video!!
Reed Richard’s:Black bolt can tell you how to get to you’re children Wanda go on Blackbolt tell her.

Black Bolt's power is mindblowing.
He can also manipulate the particles and can lift up to 60 tons. His super speed is by anti gravity particles that he can move and manipulate
In the comics yes, this however is MCU based
Black Bolt struggled to beat regular ass humans with his own strength in the show. Lol

I think that he is perfect for the role and I really hope that the inhumans join the 616 universe soon and that Mount continues to play the role
The control is the hard part 😂 I would not be able to handle it. If someone tickles me, we are all done 😂
I sadly saw Inhumans and he was the best part. I popped off in theaters when I saw him.
I liked the notion that she could change anything about reality with a few words, but he should have spoken through his mouth area rather than blown up his own head. Proff X should have put up more of a fight and Mr. Fantastic should not have been that dumb.

I would never have thought Feige would mention Inhumans yet alone recast the actor for it for a Marvel Studios production. It gives me more hope we'll see Chloe Bennett as Quake in a future MCU movie or TV show.
Hopefully he gets respect in his next MCU appearance.

Also yes please do an inhumans history!
i was really curious when i find out about him on doctor strange so i watch the show it wasnt the worse thing i watched in marvel universe and i love the only thing about him and that is his control over his voice it was so cool to me that he can distroy with just speaking and the way he control himself to not to is really cool i think the biggest weakness he has is his patient over his enemies he just went straight up in my super hero list.thx for good content.
Yes, we definitely want an inhumans video. Specifically Black Bolt!
had so much control over his voice yet when his mouth was taken he still screamed in fear
I loved that smirk face before the desaster
I think we are going to need a complete history of the in-humans because I for one have not watched a single episode of inhumans and dont plan on it and I enjoy your videos
It is ok because it not canon to MCU anymore. All the shows made by Marvel Entertainment, not Marvel Studios, and Netflix are not canon to anymore,
Sounds like the Inhumans are pretty versatile. Now I will say, having Mutants, Eternals and Inhumans all canon is goofy. I love it
And the f4
They should put all 3 groups together against someone XD
I wonder how they would nerd him in the mcu. Idk the comics, but any villain he will face wont last long.
I really really want to see the Hulk vs black bolt scene from world war hulk, in the MCU. That would absolutely make up for everything injustice done to the Hulk in the last 14 years of the MCU.
Imagine taking so long designing and developing this character to be so powerful, only to be known as "that guy who died in a second to Wanda" bruh
I know in the inhumans he isn't like the comic book character but in the comics he can lift 100 tones and is extremely durable.

Nah, to dodge light you need to move close to light speed. You would be relatavistic not As fast as light. IRL thats not possible but this is fiction.
@@KcMove2Smoove I am talking in terms of fiction. If someone can dodge light speed they should also have the ability to move at light speed any other time. Or else them dodging would mean they can predict the future.
IRL it wouldn't be possible to dodge light speed since no massive object can reach light speed, especially not an object made of ordinary matter. Of course, even in IRL possible ways of dodging can be hypothesized.

Black Bolt’s death was the most brutal
Newbie to the character here, so his power is super sonic base right? Just wondering cos in the film, I thought would his scream should just rip/ burst his mouth area off? Like in the flashback with the 838 Strange just "disintegrates" in front of Black Bolt power when shouldn't his ears starts to bleed or something? If so then I guess it make sense to me (like an elastic surface would bounce the sound off or something like that).

He shouldn't have died that way.

I kind of hope MoM doesn't downplay how strong Bolt is to people who don't really know about him.
