- When camping in Biloxi I cooked up some ribs one evening for dinner using my Pit Barrel Jr. The Pit Barrel makes easy work of cooking ribs. Just season them down hang em, and let them cook. I like to spray mine down with apple juice mixed with whickey about every 20-30 minutes. Man you won't be disappointed if you try these!
Check out my Amazon store for ideas on products I use in out of my shop.

Haha! Blue shop towels.
I love it.
There are not many things better in life that camping, getting a fire going, some bbqing, some beers and chatting while kicking back and relaxing. I hope all this pandemic goes away as soon as possible so we can resume our lives. We have entered a curfew today until the 31th here in Argentina. Stay safe.
The ribs look delicious! I see a Jayco motor home in the background. I have worked at Jayco for 16 years. If you want to go on another adventure Jayco does factory tours where you can watch RV's being built on the line.
Cool! Where are they located?
Abom Adventures Jayco is in Middlebury, IN.
That sausage hanger is the bees knees.
"can we please go eat"
Right there with you Abby.
Looked fine guys.
Stay safe
Man, that pit barrel is pretty slick. I love how versatile it is! If I didn't already have 3 charcoal grills/smokers, I'd consider buying one haha.
That's not a reason to not buy a Pit Barrel
beautiful sharp knife
Watched the entire video, then I heard you say Keesler Air Force Base, and realized y'all were in Biloxi! Dude, you should have called or texted! I would have been glad to help you get rid of those good looking ribs 😋Apple juice and whiskey is the ticket on ribs!
Hey Russ, yea we stayed at Majestic Oaks, but wouldn't recommend it..LOL! I thought about calling you but it was during the week and figured you were working. I definitely want to catch up with you sometime, would love to come hang during one of your cooks! Actually you're the inspiration for this rib recipe!
Abby says... "Can we please go eat..?" LOL
This is drool-worthy !!!
Hey Adam next time you cook on your PBC try putting just 2 or 3 handfuls of hot coals in your basket with it almost full of unlit coals. It will cook a lot slower for you and the chunk wood will last a little longer if need be. Just what I learned from cookin on mine.
I absolutely NEED that gadget you made to lower the coal basket into the barrel! I've gone through several pairs of gloves so far. I suck at pouring a chimney of lit charcoal down and hitting my target. PBJunior.
I used some 1/4” round stock and just bent it up myself. If you have a local welding & fan shop I’m sure someone could make one up for you, especially if they have a bender.
Thanks for the video A&A.
I as usual love yours cooking and grilling! 👍👌 it looks so great and I can imagine the great aroma drfting all around your campsite! The ribs look so great and I believe they tasted so great👍 Please share more of this kind of cooking and grillig, they are most appreciated! 👍 also very nice to have Abbey as you wonderful assitant and very good fotographer, high five to both of you Yeah I like and love you both! ❤️ Take care and be happy!❤️❤️❤️
This is very timely. Watching you cook is relaxing and entertaining too. A great pass time. I am inspired. I will try your recipe this weekend. I have a strip of ribs in the freezer. Going to have to attempt it with my own rub seeing I don't have the official secret rub you mention.
I missed the Live Feed Adam, Great stuff as always. Lots of Fun , Stay Safe 👍

I really like your cooking videos Adam”
looks so good I had to go eat something after watching this !
@0:50 Call for the end of the duty day.
AKA: Drinking time....
I miss those days...😢
"retreat"
Hey Adam, that song you couldn't identify is the Star Spangled Banner by Francis Scott Key. It's also our national anthem.
;-)
C.A. Long : Been over 20 years since I hear it.
I wonder if you cook'd those ribs extra low and slow for a longer time if the bone and hanger would pull loose allowing the rick of ribs to drop into the coals? Interesting smoker idea although maybe they should have a removable screen above the coal pan to prevent a complete loss of food/ribs.
Good look'n ribs Adam.
Conecuh is the best sausage EVER made
Look into John Henry rubs he’s got some fine ones
Sugar maple. Maple bacon and such as that he has a store In Houston Texas just try it
What was the total cook time for the ribs and cook time for the sausage? I just can’t get my ribs right on my pbj. I also have the rack to do sausage now and haven’t had a chance to use it yet
It’s normally around 2 hours tops.
Looks fine .......mmmmmmmmmmm
My buddy showed me how to use a spoon to remove the membrane. At the moment it's not doing me much good, as I'm in my friend's restaurant where they only bbq shoulders. Oh well. Delicious
Oh boy yummy
Dang it, now I gotta cook some ribs this weekend
I use my catfish skinning pliers to peel the membrane. Easy Greasy
Nice!! Yummy.... :-)
So that's what was cookin
Need to add the Noga cool mist to the pit barrel - four nozzles for each rack o ribs man!
What time is dinner?
Do you have to add charcoal during cooking? I got my husband this smoker for Christmas and he tried to smoke a Turkey. The charcoal burned out WAY before the turkey was done. He added more but after 4 hours we brought the turkey indoors and finished it in the oven. I don’t think I’ve seen you add more charcoal during cooking on any of the PBJ videos so I’m curious.
Thank you in advance.
It would be cool if you pulled the ribs with an ABOM size wrench like say 1 1/2 to 2 3/4” box end classic Craftsman or Snapon
I love golden Retrievers, but don't let them crap where my kids play. LOL
can you do a chicken reciepe
How many hours did it take for the ribs?
Man, we’ve gotta get you turned on to some good Cajun sausage!
Best I’ve found is Cunecuh.
I thought you were at the house.
This was from the Biloxi trip a couple weeks back
Choooo choooooo
I would think you're qualified enough to make the "hooks" to lift the fire basket. LOL
Is the house next door for sale, I will not bother you much, just at dinner time.
I need to find that sausage,i hear great things about it....and i need a taste of that liquid goodness....😅
Whickey must be a deep south thing. lol
That feeling you get when you peel that membrane off in one go.
Hows the Monkey?
Love it! Got some riding footage coming this weekend
@@AbomAdventures Good to hear.
Adam hit up Alec steel. He’s in need of some help.
Why is your anthem playing in the background at the beginning?
Kessler Air Force Base
@@AbomAdventures oh ok
Only a good machinist would square up his ribs before he cooks ..
Is that all You do is cook Good food? How's the diet going? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
