      Hi Matt and thanks for watching. Yeh I agree mate, I will give a rig rundown next time. For this trip we were using the Vexed bottom meat, as we do when we are using baits chasing demersals, we find them the easiest, no fuss setup on the ski:)

    hey lads love the content just a heads up if you arent aware but the minute you pass the 400m mark from land you are required to wear a pfd 1 and in my opinion they would be way more comfy to wear fishing 🤙

      @aaronbanks9297 2 года назад

      @@michaeldavidson1 hey mate - yeah, I have. A few times. It’s great for fishing, not so good for crabbing due to the fact I have the model before the IDR (I think it’s called that - the blow out) function. I believe the new ones have this now. The weed in estuary gets sucked up the intake way too easily. Buy the one with that new blow back function and you’ll be all good. 👍🏻

    • @aaronbanks9297
      @aaronbanks9297 2 года назад

      @@michaeldavidson1 IDF it’s called, not IDR. I understand they had a few dramas with them early but have fixed the problem. If you’re only using it in water greater than 1.5m depth - you’re good. Less than that, just keep an eye on the weed. These things are designed for the yanks where they use them in lakes (not as much weed as our estuaries) and oceans.

Man we do the same milage of rocko in a 6.5 mt and i feel stuffed from that when we get back, can't imagine how you feel😳 quick question going out that far do you have vhf and log on? I was very impressed with the fuel consumption for that mileage. What size tank is on the fish pro? Cheers mate love your work 👍

    How does the Garmin sounder read fishing out deeper?

    • @excessivefishingaustralia2849
      @excessivefishingaustralia2849  3 года назад +1

      Hi Joel, thanks for watching. The garmin on the fishpro is just an entry level sounder and reads pretty average in deeper water. Need to have it on 125hz in deeper water to get the most out of it. The plotter is ok although I would like to have the option to install the Navionics platinum card instead of the Garmin, not as much detail as Im used to.
