      Happy to help where I can, thanks for all your questions. We have approximately 100 miles range on the FISH PRO main fuel tank, plus you can add a fuel caddy on the rear LinQ attachments for extra reserves. I haven’t experienced much solo inflatable experience, all I can say is I really enjoy the Sea-Doo for fishing, I’ve been doing it for over 16 years now!

    Hello Andrew, thanks for your great videos on fishing on a jet ski..
    Question i am tossed between a 2022 Yamaha SVHO Limited and 2022 Seadoo Fish Pro Trophy
    In your mind which one is the most reliable to go offshore…..
    Thanks keep up the awesome work…..

      Hi, I personally prefer naturally aspirated for my off shore fishing adventures, they are more reliable and much better fuel economy. The Trophy is accessorised like no other personal water craft, it’s an easy decision to what I choose for my fishing 👍 order a proven fishing weapon that’s ready to go for your adventures 😄

    Why most ppl in new zealand/australia use bait caster? Its a lot difficult to reel baitcaster vs spinning reel. Have you considered electronic one?

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Год назад

      I use spinning reels mainly, 4000 series spools, they work better for casting softbaits and seem to cope better with not getting so much saltwater corrosion. I use overhead electric reels (Daiwa Tanacom and Seapower) for any deep water drops when fishing 300 plus feet.

    Hey mate, what sounder are you using? I’m using echomap 65v on the seadoo fishpro and really struggle to see isolated fish when above 40m. I’m considering upgrading to a bigger and better sounder
    Thoughts?

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Год назад

      Hi, I use the same Garmin sounder while using all standard settings… I find I have consistent detail in to the areas I fish in saltwater up to 50 odd metres. Maybe worth also confirming your transducer has optimum fluid levels before resorting to completely swapping out your unit. I now use the 7” touch screen Garmin that comes with the Trophy, it’s still the same transducer and same performance 👍

    • @Youknowwhatimean7
      @Youknowwhatimean7 Год назад +1

      @@jetskifishing interesting 🤔 I actually just had the sounder serviced. Maybe I’ve just got no idea what I’m doing lol I appreciate the feed back

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Год назад

      @@Youknowwhatimean7 most important is your are getting a solid bottom line on fish finder/sonar, that will eliminate if the transducer is low on fluid. The more time you use your FISH PRO, the more familiar you get with the different fish sign. I don’t use fish ID mode where it shows fish as fish images, the performance and accuracy isn’t as good, all the best hunting the fish👍

    • @Youknowwhatimean7
      @Youknowwhatimean7 Год назад +1

      @@jetskifishing yeah I’m hearing you. I can definitely see the bottom and most live bottom. Although I don’t see isolated fish. And definitely can’t see my fishing line dropping across my screen. I don’t know if it has anything to do with depth and currents. But clearly not as you’re saying your having no issues at 50m. I’ll have to look into more, very frustrating

    good video, during the whole time of fishing was with the battery on? not in danger of her dying?

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for watching, the fish finder only draws minimal power and the FISH PRO recharges the battery while the engine is running.
      The battery has sufficient power to run the fish finder for long periods, if the battery level happens to get below a certain voltage, it automatically switches off the power to the fish finder so you have enough power to start the FISH PRO👍
      There is also the option to install an auxiliary battery kit from Sea-Doo.

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  2 года назад +1

      Hi, pleased to hear you two have a FISH PRO, they have been hugely popular 😀 Check the correct transducer setting is showing on the sonar screen, it should sat GT15. If it sill does not read the bottom, have your Sea-Doo dealer check the in-hull transducer, fluid level (if low on fluid, it can effect the bottom reading)

    Hey Andrew do you ever use a drogue to slow your drift ?

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  2 года назад

      Hi Graham, I tried the drogue in the early years and it was another thing to do with not so much reward and always a risk of sucking up the rope through the jet pump… I quickly learnt using heavier jig heads and for long casts well ahead of the drift gave good results with lots of opportunities for fish to hit the baits on the drop 👍

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Год назад +1

      I prefer 30 to 40 metres as it’s a bit easier to keep the bait in touch with the fish. The deeper you fish the more jig head weight is required and if in to much current it’s very hard to get to the bottom for longer enough.
