From a purely strategic standpoint the new level up rules are definitely an improvement. However, I honestly am going to miss how special certain players would feel based on the unlikelihood of doubles or skill ups for them.

Welcome to the best tabletop game out there 🤩 G: General S: Strength A: Agility M: Mutation P: Passing Those are the five skill trees that players can pick from as they level up! @BoneheadPodcast Thank you so much for the reply! Looking forwarded to playing Skaven. Loved them in Total War. Looking forward to seeing how they do on the tabletop!
As a first skill, I hesitate between the accurate and leader skill for my thrower ... knowing that I have 3 ReRoll and 4 gutter runners. I have a feeling that Accurate could be more beneficial considering pass and surehand from starting, what do you think?
Blodge fend gutter runners are amazing too if you use a pass game and its a cheap build Wrestle on the skaven lineman has grown on me immensely in my last league
They are *awesome*! They've got a tonne of power, but they're fragile, so they're just about fair ;) Remember the Skaven code: "Players for Touchdowns" Trade them wisely :D
@@BoneheadPodcast They do seem very cool I'm torn between entering skaven, undead, lizardmen or halflings just abit worried the latter might be abit much for my first league
Hmmm, Undead or Lizards will be more forgiving for a first league! Skaven can occassionaly have a triple death game - it can be tricky to rebuild! But Lizards and Undead are way tougher, but still have speed! Halflings are great fun, and it can be so satisfying to see the terror in your opponent's eyes as your Stunty team threatens to win the game hahaha! Stunty as a first team in a league can be a good choice - get a lot of game sin, and the pressure to win is totally gone :D
It does indeed! Great league skill, less great in tourneys - but Ben beat me to it; the Throwers start with it :D It's another reason why they're so good!!
Hey Paul! Wrestle is excellent on Defense! If you’re trying to knock down the ball carrier - it totally ignores Block! But it’s not great as a skill given to a ball carrier 😁 as your guy will still end up on the ground (even if there’s no armour roll!) So for Gutter Runners - the ones you want to score with; Block is better, but having one as a high-agility “ball hawk”… wrestle is excellent!! 👍
Ben next time you enter a tournament with skaven. You should try and form a full team of skaven each sent and painted by a viewer. That big hand model is just too funny not to paint up and send lol
O and american football playoffs are about to start. I'd like to see a small team break down of each nfl team that made it and how you could build a blood bowl team to play like said nfl team. Could just do for 7s rosters.
I ran out of time!!!! I was going to do a NFL Game Picks video for fun!! I think you (or someone else with an awesome mindset) has suggested something like this, and it's on the list, because it's great idea!!!
Hey BennyBoo! They do, but you take the +ST bonus for horns *before* counting and rolling for Dauntless. So you can sue both, but it's not going to be an automatic 2-dice situation!
It might be all right to go full random strength skills for the Rogre. Pile Driver would be terrible because Animal Savagery, the rest is merely suboptimal, useful or very Good. Because you pay less Team Value and get skills a lot earlier I think it could be ok. Or Pick Juggernaut and the rest random. Shame that Pile Driver ruins the Rogre.
Hey Lars! I think we're waiting on a FAQ clarification regarding Pile Driver (as it's not a skill that affects the injury roll - it's *another* one, *after* the block action); so hopefully that'll protect the poor Skaven Linemen a little!! But I think losing a Linerat every now and again to unleash a PD Rogre is worth it haha!
Hey JawsofHana! Dodge is not a bad skill at all, buuut Linerats don't last very long, and that's at least 12 SPP you'll need to save up to get it! Block or Wrestle allow the same survivability in combat, at half the price!!
Man it would have been sweet if either Games Workshop or Forgeworld had been able fulfill a simple online order for a Skaven team or a booster. Instead I had to cancel the orders, request a refund and spread word of mouth regarding how terrible both companies are.
Hey Ismoud P! I *Love* playing defense with Skaven - but yeah, with all that ST4 you're going to struggle to get a decent 1 dice block on the ball carrier. Attack the edges of the cages, and then take a risky -2D block (two dice, they choose) - It'll work way more than you think! ruclips.net/video/9BMS7XWh0CM/видео.html

Ahhh I know!! That sweet doubles roll on a Snotling or a stat up! Just created really special players out of nowhere!!
@@BoneheadPodcast So it makes a successful dauntless check more likely against st4+ players. But no benefit to both skills against st3?
I cannot wait to share this with my son as he, like you, is a total Skaven fan :@(

I think cannoneer is better. They are already 2+ 3+ for quick and short. Athough 2+ in a tackle zone is very strong if he gets tagged.
Blodge fend gutter runners are amazing too if you use a pass game and its a cheap build
Wrestle on the skaven lineman has grown on me immensely in my last league
I've got 3 1/2 Skaven teams. 2nd edition, 3rd Edition, BB16 and BB16 Underworld Denizens.
I think we can safely say it's my favorite team too.
I think claws is still a very good skill for Str 5 players. You can leverage him as your singular "hulk buster" piece
Awesome stuff I'm hoping to enter my first league after lockdown and skaven is up there as 1 of my choices to enter with

When is the squig team roasters coming Ben?? ;)
Hehe, when FUMBBL updates the secret teams to BB2020 stats we'll have to do some starting rosters for them!!
I usually put strip ball on my blitzers. Get the ball out. Now the thrower can get in and piff it to a gutter runner
Block + Strip Ball is always a great combo! Love it!! I tend to use one Blitzer as removal, one as support... but the support one always dies haha!
Does sure hands not exist anymore? If it does, wouldn't you recommend it?
Throwers start with sure hands

As if any rat ogre ever lived to see twelve games
Hahaha, mine never have! *Grumbles about Dwarves and AV9+*
