This was the perfect 60 minute Vinyasa Flow in my books. Sometimes a full hour class at this level can either feel grueling, speedy, and defeating or extremely slow. The pace was just right, I worked up a full body sweat, and equally found restoration. Most importantly for me your use of language was perfect. Encouraging, simple, soothing, intelligent, and nurturing. Thank you for sharing your gifts.

So juicy! Just what I needed today. I've been absent from my daily yoga practice for so long and just got back into it 2 weeks ago. I've been slowly re-building joint fluidity and strength, and this was a perfect practice to push myself just a little but not hurt myself. Feel so warm and strong right now! Mahalo!
Dear Fiona, I absolutely love all your videos and I'm doing them on a regular basis for 2 months. I love your calming voice and the way you guide us through the classes. It's so easy to follow. I watched so many others on youtube and I found your's the best. I've always been a cardio girl with constant lower back pain since I was a teenager. I've only started doing yoga last year and it seems like for the first time in my life all my pain has gone. I've never thought I would enjoy yoga but now I'm addicted to it. Keep doing what you doing because you are an outstanding yoga teacher and I really enjoy all your different videos. In this way I will never get bored with it. I'm so happy I found you!

I think when you’ve always done higher intensity exercise, there’s a perception that yoga may not appeal or be enough. I was definitely in this camp in my early 30’s until I tried it and found a style of yoga that resonated with me. It’s a practice for longevity. I’m so glad you’ve found it and that it’s had such great results for your back pain. And that is truely the magic of yoga. It just meets you where you’re at and gives you what you need. I liked the lower body combinations followed by Pigeon and on-the-floor twists. I like that you don’t start the music right away - helps ease my mind into what I’m doing in the class. I would even consider a class without any background music.

This is wonderfully paced and balanced, I enjoyed the mix of A and C, And nothing felt rushed or forced, which gave me time in each pose to listen to my body and adjust if needed. I find when poses like side angle or warrior one are rushed, I can easily get distracted and hurt myself by trying to move too fast or push too hard. I could see this being good before bed as well. Thank you so much for posting this wonderful flow, so we can enjoy for free.

Thank you for a fantastic class. The pace was just right. Your voice is soothing and I loved that you did not use fast-paced, loud music that typically ruins most vinyasa classes here in America. Although this was a medium-paced class, I worked up quite a sweat. Very good quality video. Five stars all the way...

Good Morning! I love this practice and I’ve enjoyed it a few times but I don’t recall the dead bug pose! Totally cracked me up! We are into November in New England! Leaves are everywhere, migrating birds, total eclipse of full moon early Tuesday morning! I am slowly adjusting to my new normal but the familiar rhythms of the earth comfort me today! Just loving your classes Fiona Have done a few now and whilst I don't get a chance to comment on every one they have all been a fantastic mix of flow and hold. Your cues are easy to follow and your beautiful calming voice soothes me through each pose. Loved the birds chirping in the back ground too 🐦🐦

I have one question, maybe you know what's about: often when in pigeon pose or in longer forward folds, my legs get tingly and then numb (like when you fall asleep on top of your arm), any idea what it could be and how to address this? I mean, it goes away the minute I get out of the pose, I was just wondering if it's common in yoga practice and what the reason may be. Thanks so much 😊
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. So glad you’re enjoying the classes! Sensations like tingling, shaking, numbness can be quite common during yoga. Typically, numbness indicates a lack of blood supply to a particular part of your body or nerve pressure. It’s not too alarming as yours seems to dissipate when you come out of the pose. However, I would try and avoid it if possible. One way you could explore for pigeon is propping yourself up on a blanket or block (under your bent knee buttocks) and see if this helps. Alternatively, you can try a hip groin stretch on your back (figure 4 legs) to see if this makes a difference. In your forward, you can try 1 leg at a time - Jan sirsasana. Do you experience the same in plough pose or standing f fold? I’d recommend finding an alternate shape where you don’t feel impinged - one where you’re still accessing back body length without numbness. @@TwoBirdsYoga Thanks for replying so thoroughly :) It happens in pigeon pose (propped or unpropped with blankets or blocks, no difference) and in long holds standing forward folds (sorry if I wasn't clear enough), never in sitting forward folds, plough pose or figure 4. It does take a few minutes before it starts, but I notice that, sometimes, even in other poses with long holds with a bent knee this happens, so my thinking was that if I keep doing these poses and come out of it when it starts to get tingly (before numbness), maybe over time the blood circulation around that specific nerve or area will increase. Thanks for the resource, I will read the article carefully!
francesca simoni to be honest, I’d simply avoid it. There are so many shapes you could try that provide similar stretches. Go for ease :-) there are so many poses I avoid these days as they just don’t suit my body. Backbends & deep yin postures. If your leg goes numb, it’s saying no thanks :-) we are all so unique and I like to think that while I can’t do many of the advanced postures, the practice I can do serves me well enough. I find when poses like side angle or warrior one are rushed, I can easily get distracted and hurt myself by trying to move too fast or push too hard. I could see this being good before bed as well. Thank you for a fantastic class. The pace was just right. Your voice is soothing and I loved that you did not use fast-paced, loud music that typically ruins most vinyasa classes here in America. Good Morning! I love this practice and I’ve enjoyed it a few times but I don’t recall the dead bug pose! Totally cracked me up! We are into November in New England! Leaves are everywhere, migrating birds, total eclipse of full moon early Tuesday morning! I am slowly adjusting to my new normal but the familiar rhythms of the earth comfort me today! Have done a few now and whilst I don't get a chance to comment on every one they have all been a fantastic mix of flow and hold. Your cues are easy to follow and your beautiful calming voice soothes me through each pose. Loved the birds chirping in the back ground too 🐦🐦

I have one question, maybe you know what's about: often when in pigeon pose or in longer forward folds, my legs get tingly and then numb (like when you fall asleep on top of your arm), any idea what it could be and how to address this? I mean, it goes away the minute I get out of the pose, I was just wondering if it's common in yoga practice and what the reason may be. Thanks so much 😊
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. So glad you’re enjoying the classes! Sensations like tingling, shaking, numbness can be quite common during yoga. Typically, numbness indicates a lack of blood supply to a particular part of your body or nerve pressure. It’s not too alarming as yours seems to dissipate when you come out of the pose. However, I would try and avoid it if possible. One way you could explore for pigeon is propping yourself up on a blanket or block (under your bent knee buttocks) and see if this helps. Alternatively, you can try a hip groin stretch on your back (figure 4 legs) to see if this makes a difference. In your forward, you can try 1 leg at a time - Jan sirsasana. Do you experience the same in plough pose or standing f fold? I’d recommend finding an alternate shape where you don’t feel impinged - one where you’re still accessing back body length without numbness. @@TwoBirdsYoga Thanks for replying so thoroughly :) It happens in pigeon pose (propped or unpropped with blankets or blocks, no difference) and in long holds standing forward folds (sorry if I wasn't clear enough), never in sitting forward folds, plough pose or figure 4. It does take a few minutes before it starts, but I notice that, sometimes, even in other poses with long holds with a bent knee this happens, so my thinking was that if I keep doing these poses and come out of it when it starts to get tingly (before numbness), maybe over time the blood circulation around that specific nerve or area will increase. Thanks for the resource, I will read the article carefully!
francesca simoni to be honest, I’d simply avoid it. There are so many shapes you could try that provide similar stretches. Go for ease :-) there are so many poses I avoid these days as they just don’t suit my body. Backbends & deep yin postures. If your leg goes numb, it’s saying no thanks :-) we are all so unique and I like to think that while I can’t do many of the advanced postures, the practice I can do serves me well enough.
