@@AR-1806 it is good i am 6.1 and I seat comfortably on the back the only thing is your vision to the front is limited by the roof but head room is about 2 fingers remember I am 6.1 or 1.85 cm
Absolutely shocking that you didn't mention the 0.9 3cyl engine had a TURBO, it's like you took it for granted. it has 90 bhp compared to the 75 bhp from the N/A 1.2 4cyl
By the way I've used VW Polo, Renault Megane Coupe, Toyota Corolla, Audi A3,VW Golf for a certain while. Now I have New Clio during 5 months.Except Audi I'm so pleased to drive it.During whole winter it was a child play to go uphill drive.
glovebox is limited because this car was actually planned for driving at right. you british are driving at opposite side. clio or megane in my country has really big gloveboxes. all the electronic stuff is placed under the steering wheel (left side of car). its not affordable to change all their locations. so the british versions get smaller glovebox.
Really impressed how the Clio looks. It's a perfect example of Renault's new radical design signature. The wheels on it I'm dumbfounded by. Just seems too bland, completely stands out from the rest of the car. Can't wait for the Zoe review.
I have test driven this car and its one of the best looking in class by far. I think the engine was fine, not powerfull but ok for normal use. The Clio is not as good 2 drive as the fiesta and had much more wind noice. But it cost less money and looks cooler.
Why change what is good and funcional? I love the audio remote controls, Rebecca! Place that behind steering wheel is much better than find the volume control on steering wheel. And the electric rearview mirror control is funcional. Instead of these pointless critics, you should criticise the lack of interior quality comparing the previous generation. The space interior on back seats reminds me the Clio mk2. I have only 1.78m and my head touch easily on the roof.
I rented a diesel Clio in Gar du Nord,Paris in 2004. It was quite impressive compact car with Oldsmobile 98 Regency feeling. It was very unusual.-If Clio comes u.s,it should be very hot among young people.
The radio and mirror stalks haven't changed in 20 years because they work perfectly fine and this isn't a car to add dashings of wood and chrome to parts put out the way. I have a Dacia that weighs about the same as the Clio with the same 1.5dci engine and gearbox and can say from experience that the 88.3mpg is possible if you are doing 54mph gps with the HGV's in the slow lane of a motorway with clear 20C weather all day. Otherwise expect 50-60mpg in mixed driving.
Realy great enjoy to drive it.I compared it to VW Polo and although all the pressures of my sweet wife I preferred to drive new Clio. All eyes were on its amazing colour.
Nonsense, the TCE 90 bhp 900cc, goes like the wind, its only jerky until you get used to driving it. It will push 1.4 and 1.6s along the motorways, until they get out of the road, I don't understand the part about wallowing in corners, in fact my only criticism is that the suspension seems stiffer which is no bad thing. Do yourself a favour, and test drive this car, it will impress the hell out of you, and you won't look dull as in the VW Polo, which is about exciting as coma !!!
Keep in mind ordering a car and having to wait months for its delivery is unthinkable for the average Joe Blow in the US. Buying/selling has to happen quickly. European car makers most often sell dumbed-down cheaper versions to the American market. Sometimes they hardly break even on certain models!
I don't understand why they always complain about (the lack of) space in the back. It's a mini fcol! If its size you want, get the bigger model, like the Megan or Flouance. Really!
Looks much nicer in person, although those flashy pieces of plastic on the sides and on the dash are unnecessary. For a city car, the 0.9 Tce engine is a great choice.
0.9 Tce petrol engine 90 bhp, 1.2 petrol 75 bhp, 1.5 dci diesel 75 bhp and 1.5 dci diesel 90 bhp. Later it will be available with 1.2Tce petrol 115 bhp and EDC dual clutch gearbox.
More room inside of Fiesta? I disagree. I rode in the back of a Ford Fiesta that my grandfather rented and mom dad and I felt cramped. I am 5'3 and even I felt there was less room. Plus it was hard to get in and out of the fiesta due to the small doors. Even Matt felt cramped in the fiesta he reviewed a few years ago.
It must be a really great car, when the only thing these Ford fanboys pick on is some of the switches. I tested one last Friday and I'll tell you - while driving, you can't even see that switch, you find it with your fingers and it works just fine! What's important is - the car is extremely confortable and quiet, the boot on the Estate is amazing, the front-folding passenger seat is really useful, it's packed with cool kit and runs on fumes. Time to trade in my 2007 Peugeot 207 1.4 gas guzzler!
Nice looking car, but why is the start/stop button on the wrong side of the car (for right hand drive) and is that the cruise control set and accel buttons down in the center console? Who thought that was a good idea?
What are you on about ? The Clio and the Adam have nothing in common. They have different sizes, prices, purposes, audiences... The Clio is a Corsa contender, while the Adam is up against the Fiat 500. Besides, most reviews praise the Clio while the Adam is considered likable but flawed. Try to make sense before force-feeding your fanboyism to everyone.
Bit confused by her point about the interior not being updated? Why fix something that isn't broken or doesn't need improving? I care about the fact that I have buttons to change songs and electronic control of the windows, but I don't care what the controls/buttons look like.
American consumers hardly do any research before buying a car and are much less exigent in terms of quality, handling and mpg. Buying a car is a very spontaneous, quick and highly emotional thing for most people in the US, whereas the European consumer will usually spend months researching/reading reviews/evaluating all models, thinking long term.
Thinking of buying one of this but not sure if I should. Someone who have it and been driving it for 2-3 years please tell me your experience

We've had a 1.5 Dynamique Nav for 3 years and just been replaced with a 2018 model. Great to drive, quite comfortable suspension though a little firm. Excellent road holding with little body roll. Sharp brakes. Good levels of equipment and nice controls, seats very comfy. Great economy from the 1.5 DCi engine, good performance, happy on motorways. This car does a lot of stop start slow traffic crawling in city locations and still manages to return over 50mpg. Feels like you're driving something quite upmarket and bigger than it is. The 3 years with the first car? Superb. No breakdowns, no warning lights, no issues at all and that's being totally honest with you. Well, aside the missus putting the poor little car through a pothole at speed, busting the tyre and putting sizeable flat spot on one front alloy!
Video response 4:00-4:20 , from the past and your own channel on the current Ford Fiesta v=bgWetddJnZI Just thought its funny that they are both cramped, but you rate the Clio as more so than the smaller Fiesta... which doesn't seem to be the case
Yeah. Let's take the Mercedes ML for example, your smallest engine is a ML350 CDI, but the most common is the ML350 CGI, which is a 3.5 petrol. We also get an ML250 CDI, which is a 2.0 diesel. In hatchbacks, your Dodge Dart I believe is powered by a 2.4 petrol, whereas the vast majority of our hatchbacks of that size are 1.6 or below, and sometimes diesel.

It's a silly comment for a modern review anyway, what car comes without Airbags and ABS/ESP these days.
