Just bought both the black/grey and orange and i would say it's looks more impressive in person than on videos. for it's price range, these watches are underrated. well worth the money and you know it will become classics after decades.
Been wearing my SKX009 for 26 years now and every time I tried to change to a different watch, I always went back...the SKX is just too good. Now though, I can't wait to get the new GMT, it's basically an SKX homage and that slick red hour hand... I'm sold!
Absolutely agree with you, slightly overpriced but an incredible watch. While some would say it's dated, the skx remains a staple of function and design. Great spotlight video!
Honestly the frictionless bezel doesn't bother me. You would have to bang it really hard for bezel to move the slightest. You have to apply a certain amount of grip to be able to move it. It's just right for me.
I’m thinking about getting either this one or the king turtle for my first automatic watch. They’re at the exact same price point, and both have their advantages and shortcomings. Do you recommend one over the other?

They should have giving you something soft to lay the watches on, the marble table will make marks on the case for sure. Thx for the video, i really like your channel.
Great review. It doesnt make sense though to wish for the bezel to be unidirectional since you'll need it to go in both directions to use the GMT function
What's it like to live in Indianapolis? I'm looking for ideas of places to move to.. still a covid refugee and displaced still from the beginning of the pandemic.
I like indy, but I grew up here. It has advantages on the actual cost of living and the area is safe depending on region. I think its a great place to raise children. Not the most exciting in the world, but it is close to a lot of other places.
Thanks for such a quick reply ! Im getting one tomorrow for around $400. I currently use a gshock gst b500 as daily beater but always wanted a diver style gmt watch. Im just concerned about the crystal cracking. Not a very active lifestyle, mostly motorbike riding and walking.

Yeah I got the SSK003 blueberry/Batman. This is a fantastic watch will definitely be a future Seiko legend and as iconic as the SKX if not more 👍🏻💯

At least with a friction fit bezel you don't have to worry about the insert alignment issues that Seiko have become well known for

Can this be an everyday beater watch ?
Probably. They’re pretty rugged little movements. I use a seiko with a similar movement as my beater
