I bought your book as promised “fighting fourth no4 commando” and read it as promised back to front, which is saying something for me as I don’t read books in the main. It's sad and I can understand the burden, but on the otherhand the Germans executed anybody who talked to Allied soldiers. And Resistance Fighters who were caught ended up even being torture before that. My Granddad fought somewhat to the east on Tholen Island at the same time and one of them got caught at the German Main Defense Line covering the retreat of 2 others. It took a while before he passed away.
