Thanks for the visit and the kind remarks! You're right there's not much out there on this machine. A lot of unwarranted haters for this machine but overall its a great pin to play! Be sure to check out our other videos! Thanks again!!
We changed out the toy for the animation cell...we made it ourselves. We liked the animation piece better too. We actually have another plastic animation cell we are going to change out with in the near future.
Awe thanks!!! Yeah we like it better too, allows the light to shine through a bit...pretty cool we think. There’s a couple other additions on the flippers added but those were not necessarily RUclips friendly.
another re-used Spiderman Home Playfield. It is the same on the Star Wars Home Pinball, but with other Playfield Graphics, but the Layout, Ramp, Positions of the Insert Lamps, all the same like SM Home ED. Sorry Stern, but for the old Heavy Metal Fans, from the old first Movie, this Machine is a total failure.
We can definitely understand the frustration but there are a lot of pinballs manufacturers who build upon other builds. For us it’s the overall experience not just the similarities. Plus the opportunity for mods is wide open.
@@WhiskeyPop Yes i do not wanted to make your buy a bad move, this pinball may be fine with the better software that is given to it, better than the home pinballs. And as i know now, that Stern build this on the wish of a customer, and this customer wanted it so. So i can not blame Stern at all, but maybe Stern will built some day a better new Model of Heavy Metal with own playfield layout, for a little lower price starting with a Pro Model.
@@ogithegamer495 Being a fan of the movie on the basis of how it effect the art world is one thing, Being a fan of "Metal" music is also another point as far as who this pin would be marketed for. The actual theme has some elements from the movie but it also incorporates the thematic project from the magazine itself. So those things won't check the box of a lot pinheads. But going to the point about the "home pin" layout - it's great. George Gomez has made just the right amount of tweaks to the geometry when compared to its first iteration when they built the "SUPREME" pinball machine. The code used for the game, while reminiscent to the Star Wars Pin is actually different. Waison is the coder for HM and what he did was make a fun layout be harder to complete than the early siblings like Spiderman, Star Wars, and Supreme. So once you play the game you know the value in the actual game play. But that is the rub. At the price point and obscurity of the title, and limited amount made, there will not be a lot of locations routing this game, so you have to throw down hard earned cash in faith, and thats not easy. I will say; this is a true LE or Limited Edition. The build quality is exactly the same as other Stern corner stone titles. This isn't a home pin cabinet but a full commercial quality machine. It has the trim package of LE's as well, noting that it was requested that it be retro with the DMD, as opposed to an LCD etc. Also I know being a George Gomez fan boy, means I might be drinking a bit more cool-aid than whiskey on this one, but no joke the layout is very strong and some of the shot locations fall in place like Lord Of The Rings..... You can feel the mind of the designer when you play the two side by side - which we do everyday. The only down side or things I would change for personal preference would be unlinking the slings from each other, and have each being driven by their own node boards as well as the same for all the pop bumpers. "At the End of the Day" once people play it, I really do think they will like it.
when you turned on the lights, damn what a transformation. Looks a million times better
Definitely needed the pin stadiums
Definitely had a big difference in the experience.
Love that song!
That is a dope machine
Yeah its pretty damn fun!
I played this one in Cidercade in Houston. I actually liked it. I played it more than Led Zepplin and the Avengers pin..
That’s pretty cool, not many out there and especially out in the wild!
I love pinball and I love the movie heavy metal! Why am I just now finding out this exists?!
@?????? We don't know. How are you just now finding out about this and you love both? Did someone have you locked away in a cave?
Such a cool game 🤘 there’s hardly any videos on it. Thanks for making this one, love the unboxing and overview of the machine

So you guys changed the toy for that photo or is that included? I prefer that animation photo.

@@WhiskeyPop Genius!!! Yes I prefer your version. No offense to the action figure,it just seems out of place.

@@WhiskeyPop Blends in just right,I'm jealous!!! Wish i could afford one myself, customized.
I saw an airborne whale just now. naked and out in the open.
