Everything else seems to need to be mixed…believe it or not we have found a few rums and tequilas that are good by themselves but it’s RARE.

We know this is going to be hard to believe but regular sized Fireball bottles base does start with Canadian whisky…we know, we know…once again someone might say is Canadian whisky, REALLY whiskey? It was only the smaller bottles if memory serves correctly that Sazerac is getting sued for stating it has whiskey when it does not.

Have you always liked other Crown whiskies or was this a first for you?

@ this is the best flavored crown I’ve had. Crown apple is great mixed with sprite but I don’t mix anything with the blackberry.

We’ve had Crown off and on over the years, including the flavored ones like Apple and Peach, this is the best by far…and you’re right it doesn’t require a mixer.

@vincentr6109 they did change about 4 years ago, but its still under the tutelage of the same family/master distillers. they also went through a rather large growth spurt in the last years so maybe theres some growing pains going on, definitely doesn't deserve the hate its been getting. On Blanton's you're right right, no matter the hype, its still a worthy whiskey and a force for collecting those damn cork toppers! lol!

We would agree you prob can’t go wrong with Knob Creek 12 and 18.

Believe or not in our region there are a ton of Special Reserve fans…hard to keep it on the shelf because Texas people come up and buy it off the shelf to sell it in stores in Texas.

@@WhiskeyPop looking for the ones that have been commented since mine like, "tastes like dog bathwater" or "the whiskey is garbage" or people crying because they traded a Weller SR for a traveller. You know, every single comment so far. Nobody cares for this stuff at this price. Way better juice for the dollar out there. Around the same price you can get rare breed. For less money you get buffalo trace. No competition. If it's your jam, go for it. It is obviously not for everyone else. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Rare Breed in our area is around $50 and BT is definitely cheaper…but availability wise, good luck getting your hands on a bottle. What’s your go too for around that $35-$37 whiskey? Or better yet…what’s your go to around BT price if you can’t get it?

@@WhiskeyPop I'm near STL and can get BT for 30 or less everyday Costco gets about 10 cases a month and sells for 24 bucks until it's gone. Rare breed is 42 bucks. Slightly cheaper I like the green river stuff, especially the Wheated. Thin profiles but nice for the summer. Makers cask strength. Bowman's products. Still Austin. Heaven Hill BIB. Russel's 10. There's so many good options in that price category, that it's hard to charge a premium because of a name attached to the bottle - both distillery and singer - and think the name makes it worth so much. Proof is in the eating - or drinking in this case.

No disagreement on that. Price does help this dram. Do you feel like there’s a big jump between this and regular Jim Beam?

Ozzie Smith was awesome! Honestly we could have had episodes for entirely 80s football, 80s baseball, 80s basketball, etc. We’ve even contemplated the fitness celebs of the 80s!
