So glad you pointed out the thin soleplate. Maybe it's only because my arches are aged, but FG/AG boots with soleplates that bend like that at the midfoot cause terrible foot fatigue for me. There also seems to be some factory variation with these boots. The white with navy accents colorway I have (released in 2022, I think?) had stiffer leather than other Premiers I've handled at brick-and-mortar retailers.
I currently play in a pair of those. I can confirm that this review is by no means far fetched. I loved them right out of the box and took me no time to break them in (I first wore them at a pick up game and scored two goals). Now after over a month I can feel them somewhat wear down like cardboard…. …I somehow admit I still love them
I have used my Legends now for about a year as a keeper and as a forward sub near the end of the games. And I love this boot. It was amazingly comfortable but the studs were a bit on the smaller end leaving struggling for grip when wanting to take off running or on a rainy day it just wasn't there. I feel that if they made some small modifications it would be a solid throwback boot. I wore Tiempos all through college and love them. But loosing the K leather really has changed the overall feel of the boot.
Maybe its the perfect time for you to check out the new copa gloro 2. Heard its better than the previous gloros and might be as good (though not as light) as the 442.
Have two pairs. Both excellent for AG and natural grass. Loving them more than my extremely expensive Tiempo Legend 10 Elites. They’re so soft, versatile and still lightweight. Amazing choice especially if on a budget.
Another great video! Love the colour on these, just amazing. I wish the boot hadn't fallen off quite so much in some areas. That soleplate bend is rough.
I just bought a pair. Even after the review. Review is spot on. Very disappointed with my pair. I was looking for a wide footed boot. Nut my heels are very thin. Massive slippage.
They look good and yeah...that was about it about these. I just did not like the material of the studs? Platicish? Is that a word? But ya Somewhat slippery and made me hesitate in some plays. They were just not for Seattle's morning weather(sightly wet, foggy and etc). I went back to my mizuno morelia neo beta:)
The premier 4’s are coming out soon! Maybe they do a huge revamp on this cleat! I wish they made it with better materials n actually took the time to perfect the old tiempo look even if the boot ended up costing $150+ , I have the premier 2 in the burgundy color n I use em here n there but bcuz I mainly use vapors n sometimes want an OG feel so I wear the premiers
I have the blue ones and the gold ones and they are night and day different. I love the blue pair. I don't care much about the sole plate. I'm 51 and glacially slow. But the gold pair has terrible support. I roll over the outside of the sole plate. I was very disappointed and will not be buying premiers in the future.
At this price point in australia and new zealand asics lethal flash it 2, lethal gel 19 and lethal tigreor 3 (on sale) have much better sole plates and tech to protect feet whilst still being leather.
I so wanted to like these - I bought the all silver colorway. Played on AG and felt just slow, compared to the phantom gx and tiempo elite AGs i usually wear. Didnt play with them again. Had also bought these beautiful golden ones, but returned them soon after. Nike is just missing a decent leather boot right now..
i have a black pair of premier 3 TFs and use them for hardground (sand) and older AG pitches here and i absolutely love them. had to cut the tongue tho because of the slapping sound when you juggle or strike the ball. i appear to have the perfect foot shape for them, because i get 0 slip and they molded really nicely to my feet. i think the TF version runs a half size longer tho, because im usually a 9.5 but in those i go US10. in store i tried the FG and the SG-pro versions of the premier3 and the soleplate just feels very cheap and bendy. especially for an SG model where the ground will just be giving way, the soleplate needs to be really stiff. i have the same issue with the tekela v4 pro SG version, which uses a modified 442v2 soleplate and that is also just bad
I actually rate Premier 3 TF better than Premier 3 FG. I also noticed the TF runs long, whereas the FG seems to run a quarter-size short. They're definitely made in different factories.
@@duaneswaby622 Just got the Mizuno Morelia IV Neo non beta, in a half size down through Tokyo Football. They’re easily better than the premier I’s and never thought I’d find a boot I prefer!
But but but...what about all the people who say you're supposed to have a super flexible boot?? 😂 Also, I specifically remember Nike thought they'd completely kill the Copa Mundial when these first came out. So much so that there was an actual picture of the Copa Mundial in the Nike catalogue they gave to retailers. Safe to say that didn't happen. Those these have always sold well. Top stuff man, enjoyable watch as always.
And BTW I noticed you didn't compare these at all to the copa gloro which is its direct competitor at that price point. I tried the older gloro model recently and premier was wayy better boot right out of box
I have tried both the Gloro 2 and premier within the last two months. Out of the box comfort with the Gloro is miles ahead of the premier for my foot shape. Almost regret getting the premiers and wish I had just gotten an extra pair of adidas
I haven't tried gloro 2. Just first gloro the heel lock down on that boot was actually criminal. I got serious heel blisters after 1 session. Premier just fits my foot. And I'd always been adidas over nike before that.
At that price point, the Gloro (at least the 1st gen) is pretty poor - I'd say even more so than the Premier 3... I haven't tested the new Gloro but I've heard decent things so far
I don’t know if I should get these because I only like thin boots where i can feel the ball. But because it’s leather I think it’ll be too thin. Could you pls tell me if it’s thin or not.
Not to ask so much questions but it seems like you know. I wabted tk nnow if these would be better than the phantom gx luna academy or the gx2 academy because those are my options right now since im looking to but nike another option is the tiempo academy
had mine for over 4 months and really love them; perfect for my feet. amazing review 🤜🏼 the leather in the blue ones are insanely better but i have that version that you are holding in the black and white regular colorway and really like what they offer
Bought these and played with them for hours and wore them around the house, left them in the sun etc etc gave up on them because the heel structure, stiffness and low profile totally destroyed my heel with blisters! Horrible boot in practicality which is a shame given the design is beautiful

No they definitely will not. Usually plantar fasciitis is caused by being overweight. When I cut down the pounds my plantar went away. I only wear Premier 3’s and my plantar hasn’t returned.
@@skacel7 plantar fasciitis can be caused by that but not necessarily just being overweight lol. I’ve had plantar fasciitis on and off twice before and it was from 1) playing too much 2) the boots and surfaces I was playing on. While the premiers might not be the sole reason you get PF, that flimsy soleplate would 100% contribute to it. For context, I’m in shape and weigh 145-150, so it’s not an overweight thing lol

So weird I was genuinely just looking at getting a pair 🤣 it’s like you know!
Great review mate
👀 Crazy how that works out!
I have used my Legends now for about a year as a keeper and as a forward sub near the end of the games. And I love this boot. Thank you mate! 🤝 More where that came from!

Got them for 45€ mainly for training but thanks for the accurate review.
Nice!
I’ve had the premier 2 and premier 3 and I will always prefer the premier 2 because the kangaroo leather was just 👌
🫡 Absolutely mate
hey noah, loved the video man. i wanted to ask, would you say that the base black and white premier is better than the gold ones ?
They're the same 🤝 just a different color
I just bought a pair. Even after the review. Review is spot on. Very disappointed with my pair. I was looking for a wide footed boot. Nut my heels are very thin. Massive slippage.
Sorry to hear that mate - such a shame aye! I'd go for an Asics boot instead 😎
I think the adidas counterpart of these is the gloro, which is a lot heavier and thicker and not necessarily as good imo.
That's fair mate!
Oh man, this hurt.
I have one of the earliest Premier 3's and I LOVE them. How'd they ruin such a simple boot
Agreed mate! Such a shame

I really love these boots but the colorways dictate the leather quality and the sole plate is great for feel and harder ground.
Fair enough!

yes
It’s a shame about these, they’re so so cool looking. I always wanted the gold R10 tiempos as a kid.

if you were chosing, predator tf vs morelia neo beta elite, which one is better for you?

The TF ones are good with the lace cover cut off

Yeahh.... no good aye
out of context but do you know when new vapor 16 colorways will drop i don’t like the current colorways
Google "boot calendar". There is a website with a list of upcoming releases.

That's awesome mate!
Mine had total sole separation after just 4 months playing on both natural and ag. Don't waste your hard earned £$€ on these boots😤
I also made this error. People recommend them for AG because of the conicals, but there's more to an AG boot than just having conical studs.
That is not a bad time for Nikes tbh. I've had Tiempos seperate in a few weeks.
Yikes! Sorry to hear that mate 😬
Just an FYI. You can get a replacement from Nike as you have a 1 year warranty on items that are damaged without intention.
Worth checking out.
