Solution to all these problems - when you buy an airsoft gbb pistol, you should thoroughly lube and grease up the moving parts (pistons and slides) before your first use. I use silicone oil/spray for the nozzle/piston assembly, and synthetic grease for the slides/sliding parts that have metal- metal or metal- polymer contact. These GBBs usually come dry from the factory, so they surely need generous amount of recommended oil and grease. Also, oiling up these parts will prevent premature cracks.
My hi capa shoots but the slide doesn't lock sometimes after I dump out the bbs and without bbs. I replaced the broken loading nozzle with the AIP nozzle and nothing seems broken. I took the entire gun apart and cleaned it. Leaf spring and the BBU is good. However, I noticed that the loading nozzle kind of "wobbles" around the slide. The upgraded parts are the guarder slide, guarder recoil spring guide, Tanio Koba outer barrel, Tanio Koba twist inner barrel. Do you know what may cause the problem? I saw a blog about how the plastic part that catches the slide on the magazine is too low to consistently catch the slide when empty. Thank you

I've been having some issues with my KP 05 lately. When I put in the co2 mag and start shooting, it sometimes makes the gun slide go back to cocking the hammer, but the hammer locks under the slide not letting it go back to the normal position. I only came with the way of pulling the hammer down, so the slide can move back to place. The problem is that I cannot properly name the problem, thus I cannot look thoroughly for the solution. The gun is fully stock. Anyone might seem to know what is the problem? The green gas mags work just fine.

im having an issue where my lower functions by itself and i can pull the hammer back then fire it normally but when i put the upper on it and cock the hammer with the upper the hammer will not fire and then i have to take my gun back apart to get the hammer back down im not sure what to do ive been working on it for hours

When i shoot with my WE 4.3 Hi capa the slide stops when its all the way back even with bb's in magazanine... (the slide is not locking back by the slide catch, it jammes) it is new gun, i shot like around 200-300 bb's thru it...
My stock tm hi capa 5.1 slide wont lock back after the last shot, it only locks when i manualy lock it with a empty mag (it wont lock without a mag). When I release the mag from the gun it 'unlocks'' the slide. I think the fault is with the slide catch or the little 'nub' where the slide catch.. catches into. My question is if you (or anyone else) have had any experience with this kind of problem and might know a way to fix it? Thanks

I have a TM stock hopup chamber/lambda barrel/maple leaf autobot 60 vs an AM hopup/nineball powerbarrel/ Maple Leaf Decepticon 60 and it seems like The TM stock setup runs much better on accuracy. I've played around with combinations such as the AM + lamba barrel autobot and TM stock + powerbarrel + Decepticon but it seems like the TM stock/lambda/maple leaf autobot seems to shoot the best. But it feels like it still doesn't outshoot my original config which was a stock gold match with an autobot 60 and powerbarrel setup. I recently upgraded to an AM slide/ CowCow lightweight BBU/ AIP Loading Nozzle / 140% AIP recoil spring + short stroke / AM Hopup / Autobot 60/ Nineball Powerbarrel. Sorry if this post is a bit long.
Thesd kind of questions are impossible to answer because i dont know your testing parameters. I would say if you have been airsofting a very long time go with gut instinct if your testing parameters are not good
For my TM hicapa 4.3 stainless, When I shoot with WE mags (extendeds and standards) the gun shoots but the slide only brings the hammer to half cocked... when I use TM mags, the gun fires correctly but it feels more weak than it was snappy. Do you know what part I need to replace?

This could also be an issue of the sear unit being worn but if anything we would need more details.... don't throw around the "its we tech" answer around it doesn't provide much help despite we tech being "bad" their mags get the job done. Anyways, the leaf spring the center piece might not be pushing the sear with enough force causing the hammer to half cock, the issue could also be the hammer spring be worn out since you said it was more weak, thus light striking

Hey, do you have much experience with the KJW KP-06? The Hi-capa xcellerator variant. Having a problem with the green gas mags not seating properly. Fires off a shot then half cocks on the next shot and has to be recocked. This problem doesn't occur if I'm pressing up on the mag or using CO2. I had already tried replacing the mag release with another OEM one. Same problem. Took apart the knocker and tried to see if there was anything there, and it fixed it for a while but the problem returned after 4 mags or so. My hunch is that the knocker isn't getting enough contact on the valve release on the mag unless there's the pressure of pushing up the mag but I don't have enough experience to say for sure. Didn't know what next steps to take (either getting aftermarket mag release or knocker) so I thought I'd see if you have any thoughts before buying parts
ponche92 thats the big boy one, only have experience with them long time ago, not recent. if it only does it on your c02 mags and not your gas mags, its lacking some power which can stem from the hammer assembly as you already noted. id check all of them and your springs as well.
Took apart everything again. Opened up the knocker spring a bit to give it a little more tension, and put in my 140% (I think it was 140, can't quite recall) hammer spring back in and its shooting fine. I managed to get through a whole 24 magazine and no hiccups. I don't think I've been able to do that in a while. Will try to get it to a game and see if the state changes. So I got new parts and installed everything except I'm having a problem with the sear the hammer won't lock back and I have to manually pull it back and sometimes it stays and sometimes it just flings right back up, I've tried moving the sear around there and even used another one any opinions or thoughts ?
So I need some help figuring what is wrong with my WE Hi-capa, it was working just fine, then when I was shooting it in the middle of a game, now on the first shot the slide only goes back about a half of an inch, then I rack it again and it cycles fine after that, EXCEPT for the fact that it doesn't feed now, it appears the bb pusher is sliding over the bb in the clip, it doesn't appear to be bent or broken but it just rolls right over it. :( Any ideas on what the problem is? Hey knuckles. U are ine of my last options right now and i need help. I have a tm 4.3 with aip 120% spring and hammer spring short stroked. Fires fine with out bb's. The second i put bb's in it starts to shoot but the bb roll out the barrel. I opened my hop up didnt see any tear in the rubber. I did notice this though. When i would rack my slide back my nozzle would get stuck on the magazine all the way foward. Ive been trying to remove the nozzle but heres the catch. I still have the abs slide and the screw on top of the sight is worn so bad i cant remove it. Tried everything. The feed lips are fine as well. Any ideas?
So my slide gets stuck about 3/4 of the way back every 3 or 4 shots, sometimes it will shoot the bb but not cycle as hard or as far as normal and sometimes it won't feed a bb at all.... Is that a loading nozzle/blow back unit issue?
Hi, I know this is an old video, but I’m wondering if you can help, I JUST bought a kjw kp05 two days ago and it will not fire, no matter how much green gas I have in the magazine, the hammer falls but that’s it. If it helps, it’s the Canadian spec version so it’s the “co2 version” meaning the nozzle is black but kjw says it shouldn’t be a problem, do you have any advice for me?
Do U know what might effect "random felt recoil"? the intensity of the blowback sometimes changes between shots.. it's like the pistol is kinda weak. the nozzle isn't broken BTW. I had double trigger issue. I couldn't tweak it to work properly so I shaved down the second stage of the hammer and then bent the leaf spring to work - solved the issue and no double trigger anymore, but for some reason the blowback is weak and the pistol is slowing down relatively fast.
if you have squeezed and made sure 100% your loading nozzle is not the issue, check your bbu make sure its nice and tight and that the seal is good and not coming off. it will vary based on the type of bbu you have. next check your valve reset, could be broken causing valve knocker timing/strike issues
100% sure the nozzle is ok. I managed to fix the problem but I'm not sure what was the cause for it. I can tell that tweaking the middle finger of the leaf spring has something to do with the striking - if the middle finger has too much tension on the hammer sear, it will cause it slow down during the striking, resulting in weaker blowback. If the middle finger is too loose, it will fail catching the hammer and then the full auto problem will occour. Even though I fixed the issue, my pistol technically isn't ok according to videos hehe... If I take the slide off and try to cock the hammer, keep my finger squeezed on the trigger, and reset it to hear the click (as it should), it would fail catching! (like the full auto problem). Only when the slide is on the lower frame the reset will work, because the BBU presses on the disconector. usually, it should cause the slide to slow down due to friction (because the disconector is popping up and "it's hard for the slide to push it down and resist it), but somehow it doesn't on mine - the slide cycles fine and the slide isnt hard to cock, but I can hear the disconector dragging on the BBU
Your video has been really helpful but I think my problem should be fixed by you instead of me messing around with my TM. My Tokyo Marui 5.1 Hi Capa is having an issue where when I load my mag, I have to push the trigger down twice in order for only 1 bb to fire. It's sort of like a double tap but only 1 bb's come out after the second click of the trigger. Any thoughts on what the issue is and how I can fix it?
matt james first id clean it to make sure no debris is in it, second lube it properly then test, if not then you need to check if anything is broken, if not, then go to your leaf spring and adjust it but be very careful, i have a video on it so check that out
I have already checked the leaf spring, I will try again but I'm afraid I will damage my TM even further if I tamper with it. Would you think it could be a barrel problem or something else. I apparently also have a problem where the barrel shoots out :( i wonder if its worth funding into a new Tokyo Marui or should I try to still fix my current one. Thanks for the feedback :)
My friend has a we 1911 and it has issues cycling the rounds.. The slide gets stuck and you have to push the plastic nozzle assembly back through the chamber opening... Any advice? EDIT: i tightened the screws all around the nozzle and now when it shoots, the slide goes over the hammer and it gets stuck
first clean it all, reassemble and if it still has that issue, could be worn out hammer assembly, but if you have extra we 1911 do a upper/lower swap test to single out what is causing the problems ie Upper Vs Lower
I know this is an old video but I would *really* appreciate if someone could help me with this one. So I dropped one of my Hi-Capa 5.1 magazines while the clip was full (no gas in it yet so hopefully no leakage) but the spring popped out, and the little bit that holds the spring can go back in, but it can't stay there with too much tension (about half a mag worth of give from the other side of the spring). I don't want to tape it or anything because of risks when quick-reloading (maybe the tape making the mag too wide and catching it in the gun). Is there any way I could fix this, or could there be a simple substitute, like getting that bottom attachment on KnucklesGSM's gun? Would that work? Thank you in advance for anyones help.
I dont know if anyone could help me or not but my KJW Hi-Cappa tact when I fire doesn't seem to be using all the gas it should but on top of that it runs out of gas after one clip and most of the time when I fire after after maybe 10 shots all of my CO2 just gets released at once.

TacticalParang id make sure its clean and nothing is broken first, take it apart and check that first, and check loading nozzle ramp and your magazine. make sure its clean
Alright.....I only have one gbb pistol (which is WE Tech MEU) and i went to a guy with my gun and he couldnt figure it out. The prob with my gun is, after i insert mag load it and fire, its fine. But 2nd round wont load into barrel and all the gas inside mag just discharges.
+Chris Kweon if anything check the loading nozzle area, take it out and squeeze it check for any breaks, or check your hammer assembly for anything broken
grip safeties have never worked well on airsoft hicapas in general due to design. you can mess around the leaf spring but do not recommend it as it can lead to more issues
allright i got a WE high-capa.. since my teammates gave it to me the hop up is giving TOOOO much hop.. the hope is all the way off and still there's lots of hop on it. is there any good site i can get a better hop up or bucking? is there any way i could fix it? they upgraded it with a tightbore barrel and a maple leaf nub.. sucks so much cause im in love with this thing :( its a RAPTOR version with a Raptor ingraved in it...
hmm did they mod anything in it? any shims etc thats not usual at all. As for weights, I'm using .28s min and go up to .30+ which work out nice for hicapas that can handle them.

okay thats a better response, you have to remember i deal with people who just see the title and don't even watch the video, lazy ppl. but i see you made an effort. id check out the loading nozzle again, did you assemble the rocket valve/spring/valve blocker. whats the make of the bbu/loading nozzle and make sure it can slide back and forward (the nozzle)
Sorry didn't want to overload you with details if it was a simple fix, the loading nozzle was another standard we one. No I didn't touch the rocket valve. The nozzle seems to slides back ok.
Idk if you found a solution yet but check to make sure the spring that sits in the slot of your blowback housing unit on top of the nozzle is compressing and expanding smoothly.
I occasionally have this issue, dont u guys clean ur damn guns or something? Everytime iv fully dissasembled my hicapa and cleaned everything, lightly oil everything, and reasemble, this issue goes away

How long should I put gas into my extended hi capa mag because my normal mag works like mad powerful but my extended just dies

clean it all, see if there is any damage, could be a worn out sear/hammer contact points

I still have the abs slide and the screw on top of the sight is worn so bad i cant remove it. Tried everything. The feed lips are fine as well. Any ideas?

So my slide gets stuck about 3/4 of the way back every 3 or 4 shots, sometimes it will shoot the bb but not cycle as hard or as far as normal and sometimes it won't feed a bb at all.... Is that a loading nozzle/blow back unit issue?
I have the same issue, it may be the leaf spring, hammer spring, flow valve or the nozzle. I'll try some stuff and get a back to you with my findings
Hi, I know this is an old video, but I’m wondering if you can help, I JUST bought a kjw kp05 two days ago and it will not fire, no matter how much green gas I have in the magazine, the hammer falls but that’s it. If it helps, it’s the Canadian spec version so it’s the “co2 version” meaning the nozzle is black but kjw says it shouldn’t be a problem, do you have any advice for me?
take it back to the store where you bought it and have them check it
Do U know what might effect "random felt recoil"? the intensity of the blowback sometimes changes between shots.. it's like the pistol is kinda weak. the nozzle isn't broken BTW.
I had double trigger issue. I couldn't tweak it to work properly so I shaved down the second stage of the hammer and then bent the leaf spring to work - solved the issue and no double trigger anymore, but for some reason the blowback is weak and the pistol is slowing down relatively fast.
if you have squeezed and made sure 100% your loading nozzle is not the issue, check your bbu make sure its nice and tight and that the seal is good and not coming off. it will vary based on the type of bbu you have. next check your valve reset, could be broken causing valve knocker timing/strike issues
100% sure the nozzle is ok.
I managed to fix the problem but I'm not sure what was the cause for it.
I can tell that tweaking the middle finger of the leaf spring has something to do with the striking - if the middle finger has too much tension on the hammer sear, it will cause it slow down during the striking, resulting in weaker blowback.
If the middle finger is too loose, it will fail catching the hammer and then the full auto problem will occour.
Even though I fixed the issue, my pistol technically isn't ok according to videos hehe...
If I take the slide off and try to cock the hammer, keep my finger squeezed on the trigger, and reset it to hear the click (as it should), it would fail catching! (like the full auto problem).
Only when the slide is on the lower frame the reset will work, because the BBU presses on the disconector. usually, it should cause the slide to slow down due to friction (because the disconector is popping up and "it's hard for the slide to push it down and resist it), but somehow it doesn't on mine - the slide cycles fine and the slide isnt hard to cock, but I can hear the disconector dragging on the BBU

Your video has been really helpful but I think my problem should be fixed by you instead of me messing around with my TM. My Tokyo Marui 5.1 Hi Capa is having an issue where when I load my mag, I have to push the trigger down twice in order for only 1 bb to fire. It's sort of like a double tap but only 1 bb's come out after the second click of the trigger. Any thoughts on what the issue is and how I can fix it?
matt james first id clean it to make sure no debris is in it, second lube it properly then test, if not then you need to check if anything is broken, if not, then go to your leaf spring and adjust it but be very careful, i have a video on it so check that out
I have already checked the leaf spring, I will try again but I'm afraid I will damage my TM even further if I tamper with it. Would you think it could be a barrel problem or something else. I apparently also have a problem where the barrel shoots out :( i wonder if its worth funding into a new Tokyo Marui or should I try to still fix my current one. Thanks for the feedback :)

My friend has a we 1911 and it has issues cycling the rounds.. The slide gets stuck and you have to push the plastic nozzle assembly back through the chamber opening... Any advice? EDIT: i tightened the screws all around the nozzle and now when it shoots, the slide goes over the hammer and it gets stuck
first clean it all, reassemble and if it still has that issue, could be worn out hammer assembly, but if you have extra we 1911 do a upper/lower swap test to single out what is causing the problems ie Upper Vs Lower
I know this is an old video but I would *really* appreciate if someone could help me with this one.
So I dropped one of my Hi-Capa 5.1 magazines while the clip was full (no gas in it yet so hopefully no leakage) but the spring popped out, and the little bit that holds the spring can go back in, but it can't stay there with too much tension (about half a mag worth of give from the other side of the spring). I don't want to tape it or anything because of risks when quick-reloading (maybe the tape making the mag too wide and catching it in the gun). Is there any way I could fix this, or could there be a simple substitute, like getting that bottom attachment on KnucklesGSM's gun? Would that work?

Replace the part that is broken, check Evike, they tend to carry parts for repairing hicapa mags
I dont know if anyone could help me or not but my KJW Hi-Cappa tact when I fire doesn't seem to be using all the gas it should but on top of that it runs out of gas after one clip and most of the time when I fire after after maybe 10 shots all of my CO2 just gets released at once.
check your loading nozzle, could be cracked
I have a Tokyo Marui xtreme .45 and the loading nozzle doesn’t go back all the way so I can only shoot one shot before I have to cock it again. What should I do
clean it and check for any cracks on it, reduce the short stroke as well to test if it will feed
my capa problem:
1. 2/10 shot, will do double tap... (not full auto)
2. sometimes BB not loaded..

TacticalParang id make sure its clean and nothing is broken first, take it apart and check that first, and check loading nozzle ramp and your magazine. make sure its clean
Alright.....I only have one gbb pistol (which is WE Tech MEU) and i went to a guy with my gun and he couldnt figure it out. The prob with my gun is, after i insert mag load it and fire, its fine. But 2nd round wont load into barrel and all the gas inside mag just discharges.
+Chris Kweon if anything check the loading nozzle area, take it out and squeeze it check for any breaks, or check your hammer assembly for anything broken

grip safeties have never worked well on airsoft hicapas in general due to design. you can mess around the leaf spring but do not recommend it as it can lead to more issues

allright i got a WE high-capa.. since my teammates gave it to me the hop up is giving TOOOO much hop.. the hope is all the way off and still there's lots of hop on it. is there any good site i can get a better hop up or bucking? is there any way i could fix it?
they upgraded it with a tightbore barrel and a maple leaf nub.. sucks so much cause im in love with this thing :( its a RAPTOR version with a Raptor ingraved in it...
use heavier bbs?
KnucklesGSM im using 0.25.. still to much hop. tried to bend the arm thats pushing down into the nub upwards a little, but didnt help at all..
hmm did they mod anything in it? any shims etc thats not usual at all. As for weights, I'm using .28s min and go up to .30+ which work out nice for hicapas that can handle them.

Yes I did, I don't have a duplicate gun and I've stripped and cleaned the magazine that's fine. I replaced the loading nozzle and blowback housing. So where do I go from here? Thank you
okay thats a better response, you have to remember i deal with people who just see the title and don't even watch the video, lazy ppl. but i see you made an effort. id check out the loading nozzle again, did you assemble the rocket valve/spring/valve blocker. whats the make of the bbu/loading nozzle and make sure it can slide back and forward (the nozzle)
Sorry didn't want to overload you with details if it was a simple fix, the loading nozzle was another standard we one. No I didn't touch the rocket valve. The nozzle seems to slides back ok.

Idk if you found a solution yet but check to make sure the spring that sits in the slot of your blowback housing unit on top of the nozzle is compressing and expanding smoothly.
I occasionally have this issue, dont u guys clean ur damn guns or something? Everytime iv fully dissasembled my hicapa and cleaned everything, lightly oil everything, and reasemble, this issue goes away
