There are moments in life when we feel a connection so deep words can hardly describe it. But how do we know that it's real? This is the story of a boy who meets a girl and falls in love. (Please do not continue reading until after you watch the video!)
The Jubilee Project makes films for good causes. This film was produced to raise awareness and support for the American Society for Deaf Children. There are two ways that you can support this cause:
1. Go to jubileeproject.bandcamp.com to buy the soundtrack for this video, "Peaches" by New Heights. You can also donate directly to the cause at this site.
2. Sign up to become a sponsor of this video. Each sponsor will be asked to donate 1 penny for each view this video receives in November. So if the video is watched 1000 times this month, sponsors will each donate 10 dollars. You can sign up to become a sponsor by emailing project.jubilee@gmail.com. All proceeds will go to the American Society for Deaf Children.
The American Society for Deaf Children is a non-profit organization started in 1967 that supports and educates families of deaf and hard of hearing children and advocates for high quality programs and services.

I'm hear from Sign Duo... Anyone else?
YESSS
Loretta 253 Yes!! I love Ellen and Ryan!!
Meee
YEEEEE
Yeah
I saw this video years ago when I was 13!! I almost cried! Now I'm revisiting this video because a deaf/hearing couple on RUclips said this was how they met! They are called Sign Duo. Sooooo nostalgic! This is love
That’s literally why I’m revisiting this video as well.
Same here !!
me too!!
Same! This is so adorable!
Same!
if only life was that sweet and innocent
+Trueee lol
If only. .... sigh the adult world........
It can be if you wanted it to be
I would have been that oblivious jerk who sits in between them
pigtoss hahahahah we're all assholes
on top of the post its
Ahhh. Would have been very touching if he wrote "Your song is beautiful" at the end, but still loved it nonetheless.
Calvin Chan dang he should have omg that’s is brilliant !
Yes!!! You’re good!
omg that would be so good
Watched this when I was 8. Now I'm 18 and nostalgia landed me back here. Their channel has grown so much over the years but I still find myself missing these short films
Wouldn't it be nice if in the end, the video didn't show us the scene where the girl told the guy she was deaf, but instead, the scene fades to the setting of a wedding, while the guy and girl sign languages each other: "I do."
You have a beautiful mind
That would be amazing😍😍
That is brilliant plot twist for short movie bro 👌🏻
Here bc of sign duo I can’t believe Jubilee has been an established channel for so long! Ik this channel from the guess the odd man out vids
it's 2015 and still, i'm touched by this video.
It has been 4 years, the ending still made me cry in joy :')
The first time I saw something like this was by a younger couples that I'm sure now did a remake of the JP's video. I'm a little disappointed they didn't give you guys credit.
i love this...
The ending instantly made me feel ready eyed. This was totally a moving project with such great meaning and awareness, well done! I'm glad I came across this channel!
Arslan Deaf you love
i love love love and adore this video and its remakes, but the ending. as a girl with a disability i want someone to just tell me i'm beautiful, period, cause i'm just a person as everybody else, not that oh well, despite my imperfections i'm STILL beautiful, and what does being deaf has to do with beauty anyway? she doesn't even have a visible physical aspect disability!
some people find being deaf ugly
i don't really think that's what they meant
a lot of ppl find it hard to keep relationships or don't find it worth the effort/time to communicate w/ someone who has a disability such as someone who's blind, deaf, autistic, etc.
ik it's not a good thing and i really hate how that's something that happens often but it does happen and that's what they were, in a sense, combating
btw beauty is not just about looks
it's about personality as well
i know what you mean, but i think bc she said she was embarrassed to share the song w him, maybe he said that bc of it? idk, but regardless i think it could be bc of what you’ve said sadly :(
i’m hard of hearing since birth, so i rlly long for what you’ve said too! that ppl didn’t see me for this & just see me like someone who has hearing
Handicapped people are as
beautiful as normal people
are . They are more compassionate, loving and kind . Thank you for sharing .
I kind of expected that she was deaf, but it was still something when I learned it was the case. This is heartwarming and beautiful. Thank you for this, Jubilee!
That was very sweet of him :) cute couple, love the song by New Heights and love can still make a connection whether blind, deaf, impaired or whatever. That's the true power of love.
WOW!!! That's the most powerful short movie that I have ever seen for a long time.
"your still beautiful" that hit me hard :')
I hate being deaf. It's not fun, it's not fair. Everyone's laughing in their circle and I am just standing there watching them laugh, it hurts to not be normal cus your life is scar with jealousy in others who can enjoy a hearty chat at ease.
Trey Lo you’re still normal even if you’re deaf...at least that’s what my mom told me...she said that you can do the same things anyone else could...you just can’t hear and that shouldn’t stop you from having fun...I was born death and mute so I understand but that shouldn’t stop you from being you and doing the things other people do...much love ❤️
Yoooooo I remember watching this video way back, it’s crazy I didn’t even realize this was Jubilee
Still one of the best videos on youtube. I wish Jubilee still made videos like this. Don't know what happened to them.
Still gets to teary eyed after all these years x)
Qw
"Would you like to hear my special song?"
"I'd like that"
*passes over earphones*...
my name jeff
damn. i was left in tears
+Alex Jalagania everytime.
this was the very first video I have watched form Jubilee Project and after that.....well i totally fell in love with it and the other videos that went after... :D I'm so happy I found this...it is life, it is love, it is hope. :)
libert moore Betita agree 100%.. me too,, this is the best video about love in different,, inspiring
kartika intan yes.... I sometimes share this to my students... it really teaches a lot
Thumbs up for that feeling!! 1:45
Come here from Sign Duo channel.
This is beautiful! this really shows an awareness to people outside of the deaf community. i work with a group called the Association for the hearing impaired and we have sign language classes and different performances that we attend and show people that just because someone is deaf, dosent mean that they arent like everyone else in the world. sometimes, the only thing that they want to he heard, to be felt like someone understands. This has made my day! The message is truly beautiful!
Strange how he brought sticky notes while reading the newspaper
He had a textbook, studying, you know.
Pwningrhino I have sticky notes in my bag for absolutely no reason, and have carried teh same pack for about 5 years haha XD
OddRevelation you carried them for so long that its not sticky anymore hahahaha :D
I wish I could find a love as beautiful as the one growing in this video. I try to believe that it's not too late and that past failures aren't a harbinger of future misfortunes, but it's hard. I try, but it's hard. This sort of short gets to me, makes me think. Ten years on, it still matters.
She said "I'm sorry I'm deaf"
at first i thought she was death but then i saw her earphones and thought oh she's just listening to music. i love this story!!
It's DEAF not death -.-
Elycia Herrera I think it's an automatic muscle response when typing. I noticed when I was typing a message I typed "dead" instead of "deaf" twice, because it's a much more commonly typed word (at least by me, since I am not deaf nor hard of hearing).
You may have encountered similar scenarios yourself with other words if you frequently type on a computer.
MsHojat thx it was autocorrect
She is deaf
You never fail to touch my heart with those stories you've originally made :')
i really understand, i love this film also i'm deaf too and i would keep watching this film over and over
Beautiful Story :)
hi
jubilee makes me what to cry. from sadness, to sorrow, joy, and happiness. they are amazing. every video.
OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT JUBILEE MADE THIS VIDEO😭😭😭 I'VE BEEN OBSESSED WITH NEW HEIGHTS AND THEIR MUSIC SINCE THIS VIDEO CAME OUT, AND I JUST FOUND OUT NOW THAT JUBILEE CREATED THIS VIDEO....WHATTTT!!! I watch Jubilee all the time !!! DOES THIS MEAN I'M ONE OF JUBILEE'S OLDEST FANS HAHAHA! I was here from the beginning, people!!! I'm in shock lol whattttt how did I not connect the two!?
wow when I reached the end I was like O.o I thought it was going to be something with extreme (can't spell lol) conitations/implications , I couldn't even think that she was deaf, such a fool I am, but it did come as a Ohhhh, wow moment =D
I really need to stop reading comments before watching the video...
-_-''' crap didn't think about spoilers...
BlazingSpeed me too. The fact there was a twist sorta spoiled it. Oh well, still amazing
Words can't describe how beautiful this truly is... But that will never stop us from trying. Simply beautiful and precious.
This is such an inspiring video. Loving someone despite it's imperfection.
My bf is deaf , but I still love him 💜
I started off by watching the remake of this video! I had the curiosity of the original video and I searched it up and now I have fallen in love with your videos! They are very touching! Keep it up! ❤👍👏
Can't believe I've never seen the original until now. Lol, but it's still nice;)
we learned a lesson from this bring sticky notes where ever we go :) jk that was nice
This was how I first discovered jubilee project all these years ago, glad they're still around and doing well! Even if it's no longer short films
I came here from Sign Duo! 💕
BEAUTIFUL MOVIE..:D
I can't help but smile after watching this!
So sweet
who watch this in 2017 for the 1000 times
Just goes to show how we should look at others not for there shortcomings but as human beings who are looking for some form of connection, no matter how small. Loved this so much!
SPOILEEEER! XD
Verified
this made my day. Btw, he's really cute. Does anyone know who he is?
I watched this back in the day and now they make the "do people think the same" videos! So cool to see how far Jubilee has come!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
dat plot twist. Not to pick it apart but I'm a little curious why she would have ear phones in.
to prevent people from trying to talk to her...instead of being rude to make it seem like they were getting ignored, she'd put them in since she can't hear..normally people don't bother others if they're listening to music.
Liz Boyd Oh ok, that makes sense.
Maj0ra its also because to make her look like she's not deaf. its like she can hear so she can listen to music.
She can't hear though..
Maj0ra
She dont want to seem rude in case someone talks to her and she doesnt respond...
Great until I read you are STILL beautiful... STILL is one word too many
+bmaak I have the same thinking with you, I just felt sad when I saw the word "still" but maybe it's more real
Don't overanalyze it. This is what a boy his age would say after finding out she is deaf. It is a gut response. That's all.
After more than 2 years, this still gives me the goosebumps. Still one of my fave shorts.
Hello! I have hearing impairment... I was wondering what does guys think about deaf or hearing impairment? I don't have boyfriend right now. not single one. I really don't know how to communicate with guys. :(
you may try texting or chat
okay :) REY ANDES
Hey, check that video "The Most Beautiful Thing (Short Film)". I think it will give you some motivation! :)
Grzechoslaw Okay gotta check it out! thank youuuuu!!! :D Sweet!
Just be you:) tbh if a guy is truly someone worth your time he wouldn't be so off put by something like that. There are so many ways to communicate:D good luck\(^-^)/
WHY DID SHE HAVE HEADPHONES IN THE FIRST PLACE THO
You've never put in headphones with no music playing to avoid conversation?
so i can say reply "i love you " to your comment
This is not just a ' video '
This is Actually Filled with all about Love. so Beautifullll
What says in sign language the girl in the end?
Andrea Penzo I'm deaf.
Karen Figuereo Thanks so much friend!
Andrea Penzo I'm sorry, I'm deaf.
Thanks
This left me teary eyed. What a powerful message!
I love that you guys always make films with a purpose..that's how all films should be like...Sometimes people forget or take for granted things in life...Keep up the good work and awareness!
Wow I remember loving a remake of this so long ago I never knew jubilee made the original!
το πιο ωραιο και με σημασια βιντεο που εχω δει εδώ και πολύ καιρο ...ειδικα το τελος είναι όλα τα λεφτα,τρομερο...μπραβο μονο αυτό τιποτε αλλο
This video has been 10 years and as much as I’d like to think love is so innocent in this time and date, this video still touches my heart.
this had me in tears... im hard of hearing and sometimes i question myself why can i find someone who loves me as i am...
Crazy how videos have changed! Still here watching today
I had tears in my eyes while reading the words "You're still beautiful."
This video is so amazing and emotional. Love it!♥
Some people think that because a person is deaf, or blind, or has some other "disability", that it makes them less human somehow and therefor not worthy of respect or dignity. That it makes them less beautiful. That sentiment is still pretty prevalent, even in today's society, where people who are different are shunned, ostracised, bullied and have their inaliable rights stolen or withheld from them.
This video shows that, no matter how different we all are, we are all the same. We all want love
Ugh it makes me tear up every time! It's so beautiful
8 years later and still make me teary!!
Awww. Such a good inspirational video/song!! Found this around 2 years ago, still makes my heart cry, but at the same time make it feel like there's hope in life. :)
i just got the chills and teared up. Thank you for creating this.
This is so amazing! I found the Jubilee Project from a going viral post on Facebook. I love this!
This is so beautiful and blind devotion was tok . You gave a new meaning to love . Pure love we have known when we were little then forget it along the way . Thumps up
And I'm crying. That was beautiful.
That film was so awsome! I cried because it was so beautiful see that some people take care of that.
What an amazing video! Brought a tear to my eye and the music was just perfect. Just purchased on iTunes. Keep up the good work
Love this. Brought a tear to my eyes!
What a concept, this video says it all. Should consider registering your work to protect it.
I keep watching this my whole night. And, it touched my heart. Love and Peace!
wow i watched blind devotion first, and subbed, then clicked to watch this. only to realize i had watched this when it first came out 7 years ago and had already liked it..
jubileeProject = WONDERFUL people. THANK YOU for your videos.
A contribution to love is the best investment! Thank You! You're doing a beautiful thing!
love dont need words, just show what your heart is ,and u will see
Everytime, I watch this i cry while smiling. Very good video!
The ending literally brought tears to me. Simple but sweet
Can I just say this is my all-time FAVORITE youtube video ever!!!
She was the one who said "Sorry, I'm deaf." She was the one being self-conscious and negative about being deaf and he was merely reassuring her.
Love is never silent love breaks free...
You're right! It speaks much louder than words.
Just watched the end... after all these years it still gets to me ♡
watch this again after 4 years....still touching.
Saw this video 3 years ago and still love it.
Made me cry in the end. Such a beautiful story
I was recently on RUclips when I stumbled upon a video titled "Love Language." Not thinking much about it, I carelessly clicked on it. At first glance, I immediately thought it was one of those stereotypical videos featuring two lovers unsatisfied with their relationship. I was wrong. Not only does this video spread awareness for those with disabilities, but it also shows that kind-hearted people can influence positive attitudes in others, even in complete strangers. I learned that it's so easy
My goodness...second video I've watched tonight that made me tear up. I LOVE these videos...wow
This seriously nearly made me tear XD since i can relate to this. Jubileeproject you make so many touching, great videos love it!
This is just so perfs and i really love it. I remember the first time i watched this and it was just so awesome. I loved the part where he told her she was still beautiful. AHHHH i am in love with this
