Songwriters: Bob Margolin / Mark David Kazanoff
Boston native Bob Margolin was born in 1949. Inspired by Chuck Berry, he started playing #guitar at age 15 and immediately started performing in local rock and blues bands. Margolin was hired by Muddy Waters in 1973.
In 2016, Bob won two Blues Blast Magazine Awards, one as Best Male Blues Artist, and one for Best Traditional Blues Album for his new album, “My Road.” In 2013, Bob was nominated for The Blues Foundation’s Blues Music Award for Traditional Male Blues Artist. He has won Blues Music Awards for guitar in 2008 and 2005.
Bob Margolin has played on several Grammy-winning recordings, won numerous W.C. Handy/Blues Music Awards for his playing and is a KBA Award recipient for Journalism. [In the early ’90s, Margolin began a second career as a music writer. In 2011, he released an eBook featuring the best of his writing - “Steady Rollin’ - Blues Stories, Snapshots, (Intentional) Blues Fiction.] He’s produced albums for numerous artists including Muddy’s son Big Bill Morganfield, Candye Kane, Pinetop Perkins, Mac Arnold, Ann Rabson and produced and consulted on reissues of Muddy Waters’ recordings for the Blue Sky Label for Sony/Legacy.

She was probably some corporate employee that had an empty life, no interest in relationships with strangers because she knew they would not be satisfying. The music she loves gives her what she needs for the time being, she is a woman who knows what she wants, and will not settle for less. After all, having money cannot buy love. 💔Just sharing my thoughts of this song and lyrics, I knew a person who was a lot like her.
That being said.... Are her expectations unrealistic? Women keep setting that bar "HIGHER-&-HIGHER" until no man, or woman can live up
to it and time runs out on a "Real" chance at happiness, don't you think? I mean when your young you have all theses qualifiers and the older you get the more disqualifiers that attach themselves to us! And yes money cannot buy love, but it has a sneaky way of making sure
you never will... Lastly did the woman you knew ever find and keep Love? I think your statement is sound and based in correct reality...

My guess: peak view 80k, actual result: 93k in 4 years. This song has class and some amazing themes in the lyrics, but ultimately the vocals feel slightly weak, guitar solo is mediocre at best when compared to some gems in the playlist. Not judging, trying to give unbiased analysis. The composer tried to do some interesting call and response stuff at the beginning with guitar, piano and brass, imho there was too much happening with less integrity than can otherwise be achieved with a simpler melody. Brass licks definitely elevated the song above 50k views in my head
