Gosh she’s stunning in both dresses. The first look (in the movie) gives her the “shy maiden” kinda vibe while her final look (that should of looked something like this) gives her the powerful bold “this is what my gift and I are capable of” statement. I definitely love her final dress.
@@HeXtian If I made Isabella's dress, I use a white fabric and sew it in a form of mermaid pose, then glue the flower petals one by one start from top then work my way down to the bottom, sew the ruffles then glue the rose for a finish touch.

THIS is honestly what i wish disney did when they were making dolls of isabela. put her in her imperfect dress, it would’ve been so much better in my opinion
I totally agree with you! It’s like her “true form”. Her original dress represents something she doesn’t want to be. I think it would be cool to see a doll with a reversible dress. But I also think the default appearance for Isabella in merch should be her painted dress. It’s more beautiful because of what it means for her character. Also I prefer it because it’s really unique compared to most of the princessy dresses Disney has created.
@@HeXtian My free hand drawing's of Isabella concept 1 & 2 came out gorgeous!!! Question will Pepa & Dolores be customize or are you planning on making more Disney Villains or Asian/Korean Disney Princess's and Daisy?
Imagine if the Disney doll came with the original dress but like paints and flowers and stuff so you can customize it to become the "creative" dress! That would've been cool!
Oo yeah I remember this strawberry shortcake doll I had whose skirts will have patterns appear once you spray water on the doll maybe they could do sth like that with Isabella’s doll having her dress change colors once water is added
I think Isabela struck a chord with so many artists because her struggles mirror their own. Artists are constantly facing pressure that all of their art must be perfect, that it must please an audience, that it must be of something popular, etc. I know so many artists who can’t even remember the last time they drew something that wasn’t a commission, something just for themselves. Isabela reminds us to just be ourselves, and that it’s okay to be imperfect in our art. That embracing imperfection can create its own kind of joy.
Omg wow this definitely puts it in perspective 🤩🥺 that’s definitely so relatable though, and It’s also been a while since I’ve made art for myself lol 😂
I thought, for sure, you would have created a separate dress. This is fantastic. Great job stepping outside of your comfort zone. I absolutely love it.
I think I'd be epic if you made over Luisa as well. I really liked how she was still feminine while also being ripped af. So seeing her in your style would blow my mind!
I really admire you making the dress that is true to the character and her growth💕 It really bothers me that Disney markets Mulan in the confining dress that she hates from the beginning of the movie just because they think it's prettier
Love this look! She looks so fun! I do agree that a more drastic change would have worked better to show the changes she is going through. I believe it was probably cheaper to recolor her dress than make a new model and skirt engine. Maybe she could have ripped a slit in it so she could move more freely (also metaphorically) or wear it sleeveless/shorten it. If they give encanto something like the tangled treatment with a series, would love to see an evolution of her style alongside her lifting of the family's pressure off herself.
The first dress was beautiful and elegant but when I saw the second dress on the last video my jaw dropped on how gorgeous it looked. Almost wanted to have it so bad. That was amazing thank you !!
I didn't think of it, but I might look into giant faux flower petals, attaching them to a dress or base shirt is the easy part, holding the petal shape seems hard
wow…. i’m even more impressed with this dress than i was with the first version! don’t get me wrong, both are gorgeous, but something about this one… it’s giving “i’m being my true expressive self” and i’m completely here for it.
Oh my! Changing a finished doll! How brave! I would be so scared! She was so beautiful in purple but the final result is very true to her final character. It's nice to see you work :)

This is one of my favorite parts of the movie. Isabela is the first to realize that she doesn't need to be perfect. She finally learns to embrace her flaws, even show them off. Such a beautiful character, with such a beautiful doll adaptation. Lovely as always 😩❤❤❤❤❤

I really like this version over the first one. Now that I have seen this I wish Hextian would play with colors more in future projects aswell. Hextians style is typically a very clean fashion look so I feel like Hextian did something out of his territory here and it took it to the next level.

Isabela had one of the most satisfying character development.
