For glasses in the future, maybe you could take plastic packaging, like the stuff that dolls usually come in, and cut the lenses out and glue them to the back of the frame, perhaps with uv resin as it's shiny and usually clear. This is also applicable to sunglasses that have a frame, you could tint the lenses by mixing acrylic paint and high gloss acrylic varnish and painting that on top. EDIT: i wouldn't recommend for glasses that don't have a frame, the frame covers up minor mistakes and such and also adds strength. if you use doll packaging you can glue a larger piece to the back of the frames and then cut off the extra material for a more refined shape. resin is going to be hard to make into glasses no matter what because glasses are a shiny mostly uniformly textured flat material, all of which make small imperfections in the resin, which are normal, very evident. also i love the doll lol very cute.

As for sculpting BJDs Den of Angels has a section of their workshop for BJD sculptors that's quite cool, and I believe there's some Facebook groups for it as well!
@@veroniquedeweger6979 For popping regular bubbles I'd recommend a lighter over matches, since sometimes tiny specks of the burnt wood can fall off the matches into the resin. But sometimes when there are no bubbles in the resin until it's cured, especially when they appear close to the painted area, that can mean the resin isn't bonding perfectly. I assumed that had happened with the first pair because that's what the bubbles looked like to me 😅
When dealing with bubbles in resin, you should try taking a toothpick and stirring it around a little bit when it’s in the mold. It gets some if not most of the bubbles out.
For the glasses, you could have used plastic (like doll package plasti??)and slide them through the frames. They would be clear so you could see through them and they would look like real glasses.

I really want to see hextian do all the characters from turning red. Like priya, abby, miriam and the whole 4-town group. Omg I'm dying. I can imagine now. It would be AMAZING!
I work with UV resin for my job. You can take a sewing pin and actually lift the bubbles from the resin. It works great for the tiny bubbles that won’t pop. The issue you seemed to be having was that air was getting trapped around the pupil. You can avoid that by putting a thin layer of resin down, placing the pin top (the pupil) in and then quick setting it with a UV flashlight. It’ll set the resin enough so the pupil won’t move on the way to the UV lamp. Hope this helps your future endeavors!

NO WAYYYYYYYYYYY That´s so far the most cutes doll i ever seen from you!!!! you´re very talented even though that is your first rainbow doll. PERFECTION
I've seen a lot of people using the heat of a lighter to get the bubbles in resin to rise and pop. You don't get the flame close enough to light it on fire, just close enough to warm it, so maybe a hair dryer or heat gun on a very low setting would also work?
This method doesn't really work with uv resin like it does for epoxy resins. The bubbles in uv resin form during the curing process as it's hardening. They essentially bake in as they form. The bubbles in epoxy resin are typically caused by air incorporating into the resin during mixing, which you can use heat to coax to the surface and pop.
Aside from the turning giant and furry part, Turning Red totally reminded me of my pre-teen/early teen years!!! I loved the whole movie, and I love this doll!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️ Edit: regarding the resin with the eyes, if you use a lighter after applying a thin layer, before you cure, that usually gets rid of the bubbles!!!
Lately, I watch the movie, and I love it! There's a lot of inspiration for aestethics, color palletes, kawaii stuff... I hope you can make the Mei's gang with your style.
A couple of resin tips! Passing a lighter just above the resin can usually help reduce or remove the bubbles as for the yellowing problem, adding a tiny amount of blue dye can reduce it! Hope this is helpful!
It looks amazing! Also I'm not sure if you've seen the show Helluva boss but the character Verosika Mayday seems like a character you might be interested in making.
She is so darn cute! For avoiding bubbles in resin, give your mold/current layer a spritz with rubbing alcohol, then pour the resin. This will make all of the bubble rise to the top and pop.
@@HeXtian no prob! I hope it is useful in the future! I tend to forget to grab the alcohol bottle and just manually pop the bubbles with a needle tho 👀
I don't speak English but I love your videos, I hope this is translated decently. To get the bubbles out you can use a bit of fire or water in a sprayer, that's what some people who work with resin use. 👀💞
As much as I like your cold and aloof sort of usual style, it was really cool to see you try something different. I really think you did an awesome job! I'd love to see you take on different styles in the future.
I love how it turn out. If your still having trouble with the bubbles in your resin. I learn from Evan and Katelyn, who does alot of Resin projects. Then Royal soaps something does resin but also kinda uses the same techie for popping bubbles in her soap. You can use heat gun/ torch lighter, or if you don't want to use/ can't use heat you can use I think rubbing alcohol to get rid of the bubble.

She turned out SOOO cute!!!
Stunning work, as always.
You captured her so well. The heart eyes version was my favorite. I loved Turning Red.
Awee thank you so much :)
Just finishing up the video and wow!!! She’s so adorable!! The eyes really do her tons of justice, good work on you
A good trick for getting rid of bubbles in resin is using heat, like a blow dryer or something could work :)
Yes you totally nailed this she came out so cute 🥰 I was wondering if you were ever going to do rainbow high custom. The doll looks absolutely stunning 💗💗💗
She turned out so cute!!! You totally nailed the eyes 💜 very cute and innocent looking!
Yayyyy im glad you liked it!
Omg she looks SO CUTE!
I love everything about her. She looks perfect! I loved this movie and the portrayal of awkward teenage girls.
There were some points that reminded me of what I did when I was a young teen and oof...Burrying those cringey memories xD
Hope you are planning on making some or all of her friends---she doesnt go anywhere without her girls! lol
Cant wait to see what you create next
Love her soooo much! You knocked her face right out of the park! Wow! Also the outfit is so so cute. Looks great on the rainbow high body in particular? The proportions work well. Great job!!
yayyyy im glad you liked it!
I know it's a while until Halloween but after seeing Hocus Pocus 2 is coming out I wanted to see somebody make the Witches of Eastwick dolls
Eastwick?
Eastend?
YESS I FORGOT ABOUT HOCUS POCUS 2
Poppen Atelier did them :)
Yassss Alexa,Sukie, Jane!!!! Yes please
This guy is making it harder than it needs to be bro!
It's nice of you to make a doll of Mei Lee. Thanks, HeXtian.
Also, can you PLEASE make Sam Manson from Danny Phantom?
The hard work and detail put in this Meilin Lee doll is amazing!! I like how the eyes are, its very nice, the hair is also so beautiful it looks like the actual color of the cartoon!! HeXtian keep it up girl!
I literally cried when I saw you at the finale. It honestly made me forget they were even crowning ms congeniality when i saw you
4:08 that is one of the scariest things ive ever seen O_O
Also, can we just take a second to appreciate how long this must take, and how much work Hextian puts into their dolls?
5:40 Mei is kinda looking like Ariel right now, its awesome :D
I literally just finished watching the movie! Id rate it 10/10 :D + The doll turned out looking awesome!
NO WAYYYYYYYYYYY
That´s so far the most cutes doll i ever seen from you!!!! you´re very talented even though that is your first rainbow doll.
PERFECTION
Awee thank you so much :)
Those few notes you sang were very nice! as a musician, I appreciate a voice like that
She looks so huggable omg 🥺 the hair color is on point.
Haven't watched the movie lol.
You really do need give yourself more credit ...she's fricking adorable!! Well done xx
awee thank you so much :) you are so sweet
How have I only just seen this reply !! It's true though, I think you have immense talent and your dolls are amazing xx
I’m so excited to see!! I have your notifications on of course. I love your work!
This is my favorite Customization of yours. She's so cute 😊
Gosh so adorable! Love how your recreation of her actually reflects her age, it’s refreshing to see the accuracy
OH MY GOSH!!! THE EYES! THE HAIR! THE CLOTHES!!!!! GOOD WORK HEXIAN! :D
OMG she turned out soooo cute! I love tht you did the transformation🤣🤣, I love this movie and I was also a kid at that year so it's pure nostalgia
ive always heard you can avoid bubbles in resin by using layers + a heat gun or lighter to bring bubbles to the surface and pop them
i think you did really well, i cant believe all the tecniques youve learnt its so cool, i definitely like the brown eyes over all.
Love this! So adorable! Loved the movie too!
Also I saw you on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 finale! You’re so cute 🥰
Aside from the turning giant and furry part, Turning Red totally reminded me of my pre-teen/early teen years!!! I loved the whole movie, and I love this doll!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Edit: regarding the resin with the eyes, if you use a lighter after applying a thin layer, before you cure, that usually gets rid of the bubbles!!!
We need a bayonetta doll in hextian's style 😫😫😫
YESS
Lately, I watch the movie, and I love it! There's a lot of inspiration for aestethics, color palletes, kawaii stuff... I hope you can make the Mei's gang with your style.
The sparkly eyes are just genius 🤩
Omg! She's so adorable from her hair style down to her sneakers.
Awee thank you so much :)
Hextian should do a grown up meilin in his signature style like with the Wendy's girl. Perhaps with a red panda puddle hybrid sidekick
The dolls that you make is beyond beautiful like so much detail
all your dolls are amazing!! this one is absolutely adorable :’)
Awee thank you so much :)
WAIT YES
She is so darn cute! For avoiding bubbles in resin, give your mold/current layer a spritz with rubbing alcohol, then pour the resin. This will make all of the bubble rise to the top and pop.
oooh okay i gotta try that out! thank you so much!
@@HeXtian no prob! I hope it is useful in the future! I tend to forget to grab the alcohol bottle and just manually pop the bubbles with a needle tho 👀
Love your creativity such an artist 🌺
The sparkly eyes are my favorite part omg 🥺❤️ I love how she turned out!
It kind of pains me that you forgot the choker and to remove the painted nails, but overall, SHE'S SO FREAKING ADORABLE!!!!! AAAAAA!!!!! ✨✨✨✨✨
She turned out so cute!! I'd love to see your take on Ming!!
I don't speak English but I love your videos, I hope this is translated decently. To get the bubbles out you can use a bit of fire or water in a sprayer, that's what some people who work with resin use. 👀💞
Also Spraying alcohol before curing
As much as I like your cold and aloof sort of usual style, it was really cool to see you try something different. I really think you did an awesome job! I'd love to see you take on different styles in the future.
Awee thank you so much :) yeah it was a good break from it for sure 😁
Even the teachers in my classes trash on this movie but i adore the friendship of the girls and the diversity
You should do a doll room tour with all of your customs if you have them set up
