Subrcribe buttons..... Fan vad jag garvade! Gott Nytt År och tack för inspiration och tips om teknik! Har numera Laowa 65 och en Meikeblixt till min Fuji X-pro1 och är jättenöjd.
Love the video! I really do miss watching some macro insect videos of you taking pictures of bugs and little creatures you have found in the past. Something I as a long time viewer of your videos do miss are macro photography videos of bugs and insects in you walking around and showing us skills in better taking pictures of the little creatures. Please consider making them again because there isn't many macro photography channels out there and I do miss seeing that here in your channel. Great video btw!
I promise I will make more insect videos as soon as we have summer here in Sweden again :) Right now there are no insects outside.
@@MicaelWidell Hi from the neighbouring Finland! A month later from your reply above, the first bugs are here now on the snow during warmer days, temperatures around 0C. I just took some photos of a few spiders, springtails and snow scorpionflies. Even a braconid wasp was adventuring on the snow! So it's coming our way full steam, the spring, summer and BUGS!! I can't wait! Thank you for your lovely channel and excellent photos! :)
Awesome video Micael, many obvious but also many surprising subjects you can use to shoot macro. And the music background is brilliant. Love it!
Thank you! Yes I really like the song I found for this video: Alex Kehm - Face
@@MicaelWidell Thanks! 👍
I would love to know how you create the video detail ( jewelry, coin, ball-pen ) the image and then the zoom in, absolutely love it, maybe you can explain and / or teach us that in a video, thank you for the inspiration and ideas
Thank you for all the ideas Micael. Got to set that new Loawa 85mm 2x Macro to work now.
Love your videos ❤️
Excellent video Micael. Water drops are cool especially the splashes in the sink. Well done!
Hi Mic, can I shoot macro videos with the setup u gave in description?
Haha I took almost the same set of photos on the first day after receiving the Laowa lens from the store XD : coins, little screw, ballpoint pen, tiny bugs on my home plants, screen pixels. Thanks for the inspiration to take more before the weather lets me go outside ;)
I'm looking forward to trying out my new Laowa 90 mm... Greetings from Colorado USA.. 😎🇺🇸
Very nice! Relaxing and Inspiring 🙏👍
Thanks for the inspiration! 💚
What system was that for the water droplets? 🤯
MIOPS Splash - I made a video about it
Bra video idé!
Fina bilder! :)
Wow, this was great. Loved the music and all the ideas. Thanks and hope your kiddos stay healthy.
Thank you for the great ideas & inspirations !
Really great ideas. Make more videos like this.
Thanks for all these great macro ideas. Do you have any info regarding that splash trigger for waterdrops and where you bought it? Thanks in advance my swedish neighbor😊👍📸
It is a MIOPS splash trigger
Great photos. Good ideas.
Hello there
Can I ask you how did you do the standing coin picture?
What is the lighting setup?
I tried to take the same picture and but lighting just doesn't look good
Most important thing is to have a flash and a diffuser. In this video you can see me take coin photos ruclips.net/video/zJQ6_d5WCwY/видео.html
love the salt and the carbonation ideas !!!
Always love your videos. Again as I know you mentioned before what do you use on your flash
I use a Meike mk320 for most photos
@@MicaelWidell many thanks for replying.
i want to shoot the spalsh of the water how is your shuter speed is????
Really spectacular. 👏🏻
Very nice! I like your half a milk container diffuser - good idea - as well as the photos, needless to say.
You should do Photo stacks, they turn out way better!
Thank you for this video, Micael, I have used your video for instruction and inspiration. I have a question regarding your use of flash for macro photography. I have one of thos Lume Cubes and have used them in the past. Do you think this is a suitable replacement for a flash or would you still prefer a flash? Thank you.
I haven’t used a lume cube but I can imagine they are nowhere near strong enough for macro photography. Get a flash :)
@@MicaelWidell Actually I do but just haven't set it up yet. What are your typical flash settings? Do you use TTL?
@@wanderingwongs7464 just manual mode. Check my video about macro settings :)
@@MicaelWidell Will do. Thanks so much!
A totally photographic question, is the song playing in the video from First Aid Kit?
Nope. I answered someone else here the song name in the comments. I don’t remember it right now :)
What was the most used lens through this video?
60mm 85mm or 25mm?
Seriously it doesn’t matter. Nobody would be able to tell the difference at high magnification.
Nice video. I still try some
Hello Micael. I have used mft, apsc, and full frame for macro in the past. After using the different systems, I have three questions that I hope I can get your opinion on. If anyone else has info they'd like to share on the subject, please feel free.
1. Is magnification equal on all systems? For example, if there was a 1x magnification lens designed for ff and you attached it to a mft camera, would it make it more magnified on that sensor (like 2x)? Is magnification dependent on the lens or the system? Is a 1x macro lens designed for mft, like the Olympus 60mm, going to be 1x for that sensor and would it be different magnification on a different sensor size?
2. You have said in previous videos that you prefer ff for your macro and you have your reasons. Could you make a video or just a response where you photograph the same subject with same settings, lighting, etc on mft, apsc, and ff and try to make the framing of the photos look as similar as you can between the three systems/photos. Then, point out the differences you observe so that we can see for ourselves what qualities are to be gained by using different sensors/systems.
3. Does sensor size give any advantage with depth of field at high magnification? Could a mft at 2x magnification have a deeper depth of field than a 2x magnification on a ff, for example. Assuming you use an aperture that would give the same depth of field on each system? Would someone have an easier time getting more in focus on a smaller sensor compared to larger sensor for macro photography in general?
You have to understand that the lens just projects an image onto the sensor, regardless of the sensor size. If you use the same lens and settings, but change the sensor behind it to a smaller one, it is only going to crop the image that is projected onto the sensor. Magnification is defined as size projected on the sensor compared to real life size. So if you change to a smaller sensor it is going to get you closer to the subject in framing, but the magnification is the same. Sensor size does not really give any advantages in depth of field at higher magnifications, because you are always limited by diffraction in the end. So really, the only benefit with a larger sensor in high magnification macro photography is that you get better colors and dynamic range.
These are very interesting questions that people often misunderstand, so it is a great idea to make a video and try to explain them. Putting this on my ideas list!
Thanks for the info Micael! I love your videos and have used them for inspiration and technique in my photography. They have been a huge help. Keep up the good work!
Thank you
Are you using extension tubes with these images? Great video and music, thanks!
Mostly macro lenses from Laowa, for example the Laowa 60mm
Ive only done number 9 so far ;) - the rest I will try - only just starting out on my macro journey but willing to try most things.
Really great one
Excellent pictures, beautiful music!
Thank you 😊
Finally, an actual use for Corona "beer"
Hi Michael,
Please help me I have A7iii, Meike, 320s flash and Loawa lens when I try to use the flash it will not fire. I have “ Release w/o lens enabled and “live view display “ is off. If I use flash with Canon hot show on my Sony it will work ok.
I’m not sure what could be wrong. Sounds like your flash is broken
It’s brand new flash just got it , if I put the lens that has contacts (not manual lens like exp Loawa) then the flash works fine
@@ZNavy that’s weird. Sounds like some camera setting. Did you try having the camera in manual mode and manually setting shutter speed to something the flash can handle like 1/200s?
I’m in manual mode on my camera tried shutter speeds from 1/30 - 1/200, no change
Make sure you are not using electronic shutter or silent shooting. Flash works only with mechanical shutter.
Who/where is the music from?
Found it on Epidemic Sound. Don’t remember the song name. Use Shazam to find it.
What was the song used in the video?
Alex Kehm - Face
love it, and your tips, gonna make me some sweet photos
❤️❤️❤️👍
youtube subscribe button hahahhaah good one
luv the song in this vid '')
Wau what a nice..but plz share mobile photography ideas plz..

Is this a macro lense?
All the photos were taken with a macro lens, yes. See the description for some links to good macro lenses.
@@MicaelWidell thanks for responding love your channel
you might consider cleaning your sensor.
Great video….awful song
