- Ever wondered what a surgical mask would look like super close-up?!
In this video I selected ten items at home that I thought would look cool with a #macro #lens & captured multiple images of seemingly mundane #subjects that totally transformed into abstract #patterns and #interesting #shapes at #high #magnification. Most of the shots were taken with the #Laowa25mm ultra macro lens but I also used my good old trusted #Canon100mm macro lens for wider shots.

@@peterviragphoto Hi Peter I'm good hope u r too! Yeah random stuff can sometimes surprise you...believe it or not I took pictures of shredded pieces of tinfoil for hours lol got some cool photos. That glitter looks pretty intresting...might try it

Awesome video! Did you focus stack any of these? I have issues getting whole subjects in focus at 1:1 with my lens. Nikon Z 105mm.

I’m sure you’ll be able to cspture similar. Remember to use as much light as possible and find the narrowest aperture on the lens where the sharpness is still acceptable by maximising depth of field. On the Canon 100mm for example, one can push it to around f/14. Cheers

Is any of these even possible if I don’t have a macro lens but only macro extension tubes ?
The magnification would be less of course but you could definitely try and find some cool subjects around your home. Give it a go & have fun!:)
On what glass or surface do you shoot In this vid?

Which lens do you used?? I have tokina 100 mm and cant get pics like yours and you dont use tripod .......
I used the Laowa 25mm 5x and the EF 100mm from Canon for these. Cheers
