FRANKIE HAS AGED LIKE A FINE WINE WE STARTED RAW SOUL IN PHIADELPHIA IN 1970 OUR FIRST RECORD WAS YOU LEFT ME HE WAS ALWAYS A GREAT SINGER AND A GREAT TEACHER.
Much love and respect for Frankie. My parents used to rock out to him in the 1970's-80's. As a Philly native, just here to pay homage and respect to the legend himself! 💪
I was born 9-4-86 and I know some would say this is before my time which is true but I want to Thank You Old School for some of the best music ever!!!!!
this when America music was good! and this one of my favorite groups Maze is asome I went to see him two weeks ago and rocked the house!!!!!!!!!! at his age he said he was 65 years old, and that band one of the best band Iv'e heard he Rocked THE HOUSE!! and we Rocked with him!!!!
This was the entrance of FUNK. Ppl used to beg DJ's to play this one. It seems just the other day when were getting the bus to a rave and hoped to get the Night bus home.
This man so cool and sharp back in the day my goodness! love this man!!! and still love this man he's been rocking a long long time and still rocking!!!! man! one of favorite!
Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah. When he hits this groove..., it gets me everytime! Saw them in Cincinnati twice in the very early 80s at their peak.. Out F_ _ kin' Standing!!! Not to take anything away from my fellow White Brothaz but I am so glad to be, Black!!! Something about it that words just aren't enough.
R.I.P Dad, our memories will forever live on. Damn Dad I miss you dearly, until next time Dad.. 😔 This reminds me when my Dad and I roll up at the Casino's, great memories
"There ain't no way that I can let you go before I know just what to do with you. You've got to see just what you mean to me. You are my pretty baby." *swoon
the times I cherish most about Franky Beverly is when I got the chance to jam with the band at Hurly's Lounge in Newport,R.I. in the early years. As a rookie conga player.
Any pro musician could feel he wasn't happy with the groove at the top. And then he said "get it in the pocket, get it in the pocket" and confirmed it.
Sondra Vickers I’ve spent literally thousands of hours behind a drum set as a touring musician. You study the body language of the people around you and that usually tells me if the feel is right. The bass player actually turns to the drummer and gives him a “look” and immediately you can hear the groove slow down slightly and he finally puts it in the pocket. All it took was a look. This is stuff that can’t be taught but learned over countless hours.
@@scotty3034 yeah, but sometimes that pocket is already locked, it's just that the person whose in control wants to feel it where THEY want to feel it.
Man how I hate when people post BS on the video screen. I guess that makes them feel important and is annoying as hell to the people watching it. I've heard some people say they do it because they don't want anyone stealing it and reposting it. First of all if someone does do that ain't nothing u can do about it because u don't own the copyrights to it. And also thats another reason record company make youtube pull them down...
Sondra Vickers Oh Yeah! I agree! I've been listening to them since I saw them on the Blue Jean Network back in the 80's! It was right after they released the LIVE IN NEW ORLEANS LP........I wore that album out, then bought the cd. I love to watch the "live in concert" videos. They exemplify SOUL!!!!!
First of all, I am not a beehive fan and, yes, she should have left this one alone. She is always trying to do somebody's else songs to get over on. Besides that, whatever she calls herself singing anyway, is trash. She needs to go sit down and take several seats.
This song is still played at club’s today..
My all time favorite, frankie was AWESOME, at performing, and giving you a Great show ❤
Talented, well dressed, and fine
This never gets old. Best band ever GOAT. RIP Bug
NEVER

Beyonce cover of this song, bombed. My opinion, she should've left this classic alone.

~~~~~DO THAT :-) ~~~~~~
What??? Frankie isn't wearing that white outfit. This is the first time I have seen him in another color.
Nunya Biznazz LOL! Yeah, that white thing started some time after around 1995
But he looks good in anything😁
1982 or 1983???
