How can a Black man in America stay true to his essence and find joy. Frankie has had ups and downs, but he has not changed who he is. Maze was never acknowledged for their success by outsiders, but whenever he tours which is regularly, WE show up to dance, sing and remember almost 50 years of loving this band. This is why Maze featuring Frankie Beverly was selling out venues and didn't even have anything on the radio. It wasn't just a concert, they took us on a journey. They were one of the groups that ALWAYS!! got down just like this. Money's worth ?!!? Good as Maze made us feel it felt like we were almost cheating somebody.
Maze was one of those groups that sounded better live than the record. Frankie and the fellaz was bad!

Maze was the opening act for P-Funk at The Spectrum in Philly 1977. Maze was excellent...next was Bootsy...next was Funkadelic...then Parliament. The Mothership landing. What a show. Talked about that show for months.
