Remove your stones from the dop stick without making a mess! When you cabochon-cut stones, you will use a dop stick to hold the stone. This dop stick behaves like a handle making it easy for the stone cutter and polisher to hold the stone at proper angles. The problem comes after the hard work of cutting and polishing is done. How do you remove the stone without covering it in wax? Well, this video answers the question. How do I remove this stone?
If you have a question just leave me a note in the comments. Also, be sure to check out gotcharocks.com/ for free tool lists to help you build your own shop.
    All the best, Michael

A stone that size I just stick them in a glass of ice water for a minute or two and twist them right off. Works great with agates not so well with soft stones like opal.

Thanks, I love agate dad’s channel. Didn’t see the link but I bet it had something to do with putting the dop stick in the freezer.
Thank you so much for your support.

You are making it complicated, believe me
All you need to do is put them in the goddam freezer for 5 mins and boom snatch them easily without putting any chems or scraping anything from it -.-
    You'll thank me later ;)

I agree, that’s another great way to remove stones from the wax but sometimes people don’t have a freezer handy. Maybe I’ll do another video where I use the freezer or our Minnesota winters. Thanks for the comment😀 😁
