Mask Sizing for the VO2 Master Analyzer

In this video, Andrew Sellars and Sean Seale discuss the Hans Rudolph Mask and how to pick the appropriate size for a test with the VO2 Master Analyzer.
Mask sizes vary from petite to large, and are meant to help produce the best possible fit and comfort for athletes undergoing VO2 testing. If a mask is fit too large, there is the possibility of a leak developing that would reduce the accuracy of the test results. VO2 testing requires analysis of ALL of the air exhaled, to provide accurate data in terms of tidal volumes (the amount of air breathed with each breath) and ventilation (the amount of air breathed each minute). Without accurate ventilation data, VO2 data will be erroneous. If a mask is fit too small, the athlete may experience discomfort over the bridge of the nose or face.
